- The Bayfields Light Railway is a recently built 16mm scale garden railway in the south of England. Following a house move, some of the stock and buildings were transferred from the Woodside Light Railway.
In August 2018, the BLR hosted a small open day with plenty of visiting traction and stock.

Splendid garden railroad, and wonderful mix of motive power and rolling stock
Ooooh. I am jealous of that garden railway. Very nicely done. I like the small brown trucks.
Hi, great railway with lots of detail and well filmed. Thanks for sharing. Pete
Nice railway their, im in the process of making mine as well.
Great looking layout, what's the length of track
Thanks flashpoint! The length of the main circuit is 20m.
very cool layout. I like the off set cupula caboose. Is that a kit or scratch built?
Hi John. It is scratch built.
Hi, I’m just designing my garden railway and it looks from your video that you have used the Filcris products. What have you used on the top of this product to provide the track bed? Also, on the twisting single track section how wide is the track bed?
Hi Steve,
I have used Filcris for my railway, and I have been very happy with the results. However my line is not very high off the ground, and most of it is buried so its not affected by sunlight too much.
I have used the ladder system, and the components I have used are here-
Ladder Frame Runner 3m (GRED18423BR Size: 18mm x 42mm x 3m)
Track Board Brown (GRED181403BR Size: 18mm x 140mm x 3m)
Solid square recycled plastic post (GRL505024PKSBR Size: 50mm x 50mm x 2.4m)

The 'track board' is what forms the top of the track bed, and the track bed has a width of 140mm. The Peco track is then screwed to this.
Hope this info helps!
Rob
Rob, on the twisting track section how wide is the track bed? Did you also use Filcris for the track bed (on top of their ladder section)?
@@stevecox9237 The twisting track section is also 140mm wide, and yes it's all made with Filcris.
