I just finished ME1 when i booted up ME2 just to see what intro to next game will look like. I expected something relatively peaceful after Geth defeat. I watched this with open mouth and horror. I did not expect that. Sometimes i wish i could erase my ME memory and play again from the begining. What a masterpiece.
Joker kept the Normandy going as the escape pods launch buying them some more precious time to as far away as possible. To borrow from another franchise, that is one tough little ship!
this whole scene just served to demonstrate why Joker shouldnt have been allowed to join the military with his condition. Shepard would've survived if he hadn't needed help reaching the escape pod
@@AlexZebol Even then, had Joker been a healthy fit for duty individual. They were working with literal seconds and Shepard had the drag his ass across the ship, and those same seconds cost him his life.

To quote Captain Jack Sparrow, "STOP BLOWIN' HOLES IN MY SHIP!!!"
😂
This is the end
Hold your breath and count to ten
I really envy people who finished ME1 for the first time and are gonna straight for ME2 blind
they never had a bloody chance
NGL I about shit myself when that showed up on the screen
Always reminded me of Decker going up against the Doomsday Machine in TOS.

Issue was that Joker refused to leave his post, not due to condition. Pilot's escape pod was right beside him.

But the view of a sunset on a Planet Was amazing
And if someone else were the pilot total loss of the ship maybe.
There was no physical issue for him to escape, he was in denial and was still trying to save his ship.
