Is there anyway to output a raw image from log in Davinchi. Then possibly process it in darktable? Then after you have it the way you like make a lut for the differences in Davinchi?
Yes, there is. Once you have the basic styling you want from DR, you can go to the Deliver page and export the "video" as either a EXR, or TIFF (tiff is almost identical to the CR2 file format) - make sure you have your timeline resolution set appropriately for your image dimensions and only output 1 frame of your image though, or you will get a set of frames and the export will take a lot longer. From there you should be able to open either of them in Darktable. In Darktable, you can edit the image as you want, and then you will need to go and install the scripts (here is some instructions on how to do that: github.com/darktable-org/lua-scripts) and run the Export LUT script that will allow you to turn a style into a LUT, which you should be able to import back in to DR. I haven't tried the process as I was most worried about getting RAW images in to DR so I could work with them, but it appears possible.
Hi! Thank for the video, do I lose any information if I convert the picture in Darktable, or do I sitll have the Raw file and all the dynamic range when editing in Davinci?
EXR format should be a raw format, however it does depend on what format you export as. If you go with JPEG, or something that is lossy, you will lose information. I believe that EXR also supports dynamic range.

@@CitadelStreaming Thanks! I converted it do DNG and from what I found from google it should not lose any dynamic range from it, thanks a lot! :)
Do you know any app or free online converter that I can use to convert raw photo to exr or what ever files Da Vinci supports. I am using appl btw
I would suggest darktable (www.darktable.org/), which is available for free for Mac, Windows, and Linux.
@@CitadelStreaming thanks is it available for mobile phone?
I am not sure. I haven't tried doing video or photo editing on a mobile device.
Most people won't use more than 1% of its capabilities because it's so complicated. I've taken to using Capcut because it's easy to use.
