Most people won't use more than 1% of its capabilities because it's so complicated. I've taken to using Capcut because it's easy to use.

The problem I face is: All the MP4 or even MOV files that I load for working show only as Audio and no video is visible. The ffmpeg command given above converts the MP4 into audio files. Pl see if you can help. I am installing it on Linux Debian 12 with 32 GB RAM

Thank you for sharing your knowledge, but there are keyboard shortcuts and icons where we can do these things more easily and quickly: 1- 01:22 Press the icon that looks like 2 chain links, which is between the lock icon and the magnet icon (which looks like the letter U slightly tilted to the right) or press the Ctrl+Shift+L keys at the same time. 2- 01:57 Press the icon that looks like a magnet (the one that looks like the letter U tilted slightly to the right) or press the N key. 3- 02:22 Press the Shift+S keys at the same time.

In Windows, macros can be saved only to C:\Users\userName\AppData\Roaming\Blackmagic Design\DaVinci Resolve\Support\Fusion\Macros. Therefore, it is not accessible in Toolbox/Effects on the Edit page, as in the video. The macros was accessible on the Fusion page via the list that is viewable by Shift+spacebar. When selected, however, the border did not display. I do not know if I have made an error or if v18.5 has undergone changes in this process.

Everything works, also in Resolve 18.5. Finally, I made Compound Clip, then right click and chose Render in Place. I was about to do this in Morph Age. It's nice that Resolve can do that. Thank You

this is such a convoluted thing. just let me edit the frame duration to 1 frame without making a ton of extra blank space between them. pinnacle studios is way better in this method

But how do you let it arrange the frames in order so you can alter how long some frames last for, i want it to be each individual image and not like done as a video

Uh... I'm sorely disappointed that I can't find the "finished result" anywhere in your video. The best tutorials start with a, "Here's what we're doing is going to look like," but it looks like your tutorial doesn't even end with a "here's the finished product," but a "if you keep going, it'll look good." Wut...

Shutter Encoder can do the same, but with GUI.

Great idea if you only have one file. I have 39 videos. How do you suggest I batch process those and be able to keep the file names so it will be easy to match them up?

when I right click on my cross dissolve it doesn't come up with any options to convert to fusion. Is there some setting I'm missing?
