This video was great, but just a tip. When you're create training your puppy you don't want a create that is too roomy because that'll allow the puppy to have accidents.
I'm surprised at how well this video was made. I have been doing an immense amount of research before we get a puppy. All the videos I have watched were vague and they'd have everything on a counter, they don't answer the "But where does it all go?" question. We don't have a house of our own yet, nothing as extravagant as your sisters, (Hopefully a log cabin! More realistically, a Cape). We will also be fostering before we get our own pup. Ally, I'm happy you have a new dog coming home. Several years back, the most popular names were Max, Bailey, Buddy, Jake and Rocky for males; Molly, Maggie, Lucy, Daisy and Bella for females. The dogs in my life have had more unconventional names: Obie, Schaffer, Petie, Ginger, Ruby and the like. I even had a cat once named Africat! I lived in central Africa at the time. I loved her, but the name was tough. That's why I prefer two syllable names that roll off the tongue. Good luck!

We put a plastic mat over my daughters closet ( as our new pup is hers) and did something like what your sister did and we had a spot for her in the living room and she is doing very good in her training
I wouldn't suggest putting things on top or near the puppies' crate till you can trust him or her. My dog when he was a puppy once ripped up a blanket that was near his cage. Then as he got older, he grew out of that stage.
