Randy Rhoads was a one of a kind guitarist. His work on this song was utterly godly, the absolute freight train of a solo in this gives me the shivers every time. RIP to one of the most influential guitarists ever. Keep up the good work man!!

Gotta love some Ozzy on a Monday morning! Even after all these years, can't understand a word he says when he talks, sings clear as a bell. Lyrics are always deep and have a message worth digging into.
Wonderful song you've discovered here man. Ozzie is a great artist. He was also in a band called Black Sabbath, not sure if you've reacted to them yet.
What's going on is what's not going off. "Crazy Train" is from Ozzy's 1980 debut solo album, and features the phenomenal guitarist, the late Randy Rhodes (sp?).
Randy Rhoads always had the best tone and smoothest technique. I listen to the song predominantly to be impressed by his guitar playing. Very sorely missed. When they were on stage you could tell Ozzy was so very proud of Randy.
He has a song called “Suicide Solution” and some parents held him responsible for their kids’ committing suicide. The song does not actually encourage suicide, more like warning that drugs and alcohol will eventually kill you. Those kids had problems way before the song came out.
Ol Tipper Gore and her fanatical parents creating waves to have albums censored and rated. Loved seeing Twisted Sisters Dee Snyder face them down in Congress 😁
@@bethshadid2087 @Beth Shadid Dee Snyder's words moved Congress into a confused state of stereotype. You've mentioned an interesting topic for anyone who loves uncensored music to check out.
I had my Randy Rhoads shirt on the day he was killed when I was 12, and I wore it every day for about 6 months after. Until it was see through worn out. My parents made me stop. I still wore it for a night shirt until I got married. Then my husband made me stop. They could never take him out of my heart. RIP Randy 💔

I went to see Ozzy at the Selland Arena in Fresno, CA in 1978 or 79, watching this incredible band Their Album, Diary of a Madman was beyond anything that I'd ever seen before! On the stage, Ozzy comes up from the floor of the stage sitting in this huge King like chair, had no shirt on, and show that these band members put on Wow, Wow, Wow!!! I'll always remember these times of Rocking out and if wonder.. I seen Ozzy in 2010 in Bakersfield CA. We watched Rob Zombie first, then Ozzy came out!! This second time I seen Ozzy almost 30 yrs later was just ok. The man hasn't got it anymore, and it was really sad seeing him struggle, he did his damnedest to put on a great show, but his health has just gotten worse over the years. Thanks for the memories OZ!!!
Guitar by Randy Rhoads, a beautiful little bright spark, extinguished in a plane crash much too soon. Per Sharon, Ozzy’s wife, Randy’s death absolutely devatstated Ozzy. I know it hurt me and all Ozzy fans.
Hi Jay! Looking good today! My high school jams = hair bands! 🤣 Though Ozzy’s band was more than just hair! He’s another rocker who’s been around a long time... lead singer for Black Sabbath prior to going solo!! This song was written by Osbourne, Randy Rhoads and Bob Daisley. The lyrics deal with the subject of the Cold War and the fear of annihilation that existed during this period, according to Wikipedia. Rhoads played lead guitar. I recommend reacting to War Pigs by Black Sabbath. 🖤
He went off on the crazy train a few years before , but great music , loved black sabbath , also ozzy solo , I know i use these words a lot he is such a legend .
Somehow Ozzy is underrated despite having hits every decade since the 60's. 60,s, 70's, 80's, 90's, 00's, 10's, and now the 20's. Seven decades of hits!
Its probably familiar because its been played at tons of sporting events. MLB games have played the intro at most of their games. Its also one of the most famous rock/metal songs ever. One of my favorite songs to play on bass. And Randy Rhodes was an amazing guitarist.
Sir Randy Rhoads my friend..... its worth a deep dive to check out randy's virtuosic style of guitar and the stories surrounding Randy and Ozzy and Randy's tragic death and so many other songs.... listen to the song called "Tonight" from the album Diary of a Madman.... peace
Randy Rhoads' guitar solo on this track is almost always included *somewhere* whenever there's a Top 10 list of Greatest Guitar Solos in Rock History ... and it deserves to be!
Some of those drum fills are pretty darn good. Glad you weren't too distracted by Randy Rhoads guitar magic to notice that the song has some meaningful lyrics. It actually has a pretty positive message.
Randy Rhoads Music is so timeless. Its not that old 70s and 80s music that gets old and your sick of hearing it real quick. I can listen to randy rhoads on guitar 24/7. Mr crowley especially
On May 7, 1981, the "Blizzard of Ozz" performed on the show "After Hours" in my town of Rochester, NY. There are four songs and an interview available on UA-cam and you really have to watch the late guitarist, Randy Rhoads, to really appreciate the music. They perform "I don't know" "Suicide Solution" (break for interview with Ozzy) "Mr. Crowley" and finish with "Crazy Train". Randy was tragically killed in a plane crash near Orlando, FL on March 19, 1982. For me THAT was the day "the music died" and while I know he planned to leave Ozzy's band after fulfilling the contractual obligation to do the Live album of Black Sabbath songs (which Randy didn't want to do) and get a degree in classical guitar at UCLA, I believe he would have returned and done some amazing works. May he always be remembered and rest in peace.
I was waiting forever for you to react to this one...one of my all time favorites! I know you love the heavy beat so I knew you would like it! This song just makes me shiver all over from the guitar to the meaning of the lyrics...always crank up the volume!. Love all you do to expand all of our musical horizons...you are able to help us appreciate all kinds of music. Thank you!
Jay, if you've ever been to a sporting event, you've heard this tune. What's really interesting about it is the music and genre is "hard rock/heavy metal," but the lyrics and message could have been written by soft rock legends like James Taylor or Phil Collins for example.
Radio just talked constantly about this band & this album (Diary of a Madman) on the album stations. Loud, talented with lots of hard stops and tons of energy.
Can't go wrong with Ozzy Osborne. Try these songs.-I don't know -goodbye to romance -Suicide Solution -Mr. Crowley -over the mountain -flying high -you can't kill rock and roll -Bark at the Moon -so tired -ultimate sin -lightning strikes -Shot in the Dark -Miracle Man -crazy babies -bloodbath in Paradise -don't want to change the world -Mama I'm Coming Home -No More Tears -Perry Mason -see you on the other side -Dreamer -changes (remake of a Black Sabbath song with his daughter Kelly Osbourne) -let me hear you scream. These are just some of my favourite songs of Ozzy most of these have (VIDEOS) for them or (LIVE) performances try to find them.
The guitarist was Randy Rhoads, one of the best guitarists in the world, sadly he died in a plane crash. He joined Ozzy in 1979, this was his last album with Ozzy before he died.

All this album is incredible, not a bad track on it. The Guitarist is the late great Randy Rhoads and the Drummer is the brilliant Tommy Aldridge. Great reaction. Please react to more Ozzy solo stuff, he has a lot of great songs
Guitarist Randy Rhodes. Only made 2 albums with Ozzy. "Diary of a Madman" and "Blizzard of Ozz" before he was killed in a plane crash. Their bus driver, who had an expired pilot's license, stole an airplane from a guy they stayed with and was joyriding with it. While attempting a flyby over the other band members, on his third pass he accidentally clipped the tour bus and nose-dived into a house. He was only 25yrs old.
You should listen to "Mr. Crowley"...Randy was one of the first rock guitarists to integrate two guitar solos into his songs, something that bands like Metallica have admitted to being influenced by in their songs.
Ozzy!!! Yes! This is a classic. You may have heard it sampled in a Trick Daddy song called "Let's Go." Two of my favorite Ozzy songs are "Shot In the Dark" and "No More Tears."

Randy's girlfriend, Jodi Raskin was my sister's best friend. I remember the night we waited to hear how Randy's audition with Ozzy went. Jodi finally called and let us know Ozzy heard Randy warming up - and that was all it took. Randy really didn't want to go to the audition, but his mom convinced him. Seems like yesterday. "Ozzy Osbourne. Let's see what he can bring." Two seconds later, he finds out!
Randy Rhodes actually didn’t care to play rock, he’s classically trained and wanted to open his own School for classical music.
I love watching younger generations appreciate classic masterpieces

"All aboard Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha
Ay, ay, ay, ay, ay, ay, ay
Crazy, but that's how it goes
Millions of people living as foes
Maybe it's not too late
To learn how to love
And forget how to hate
Mental wounds not healing
Life's a bitter shame
I'm going off the rails on a crazy train
I'm going off the rails on a crazy train
Let's go
I've listened to preachers
I've listened to fools
I've watched all the dropouts
Who make their own rules
One person conditioned to rule and control
The media sells it, and you live the role
Mental wounds still screaming
Driving me insane
I'm going off the rails on a crazy train
I'm going off the rails on a crazy train
I know that things are going wrong for me
You gotta listen to my words, yeah
Heirs of a cold war
That's what we've become
Inheriting troubles, I'm mentally numb
Crazy, I just cannot bear
I'm living with something that just isn't fair
Mental wounds not healing
Who and what's to blame?
I'm going off the rails on a crazy train
I'm going off the rails on a crazy train
Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha
The ledge, ha-ha, the edge."
