I’m a retired Law Enforcement Officer who personally knows Ray. Ray has a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone that needed something. He was in good standing with his department until he was falsely accused of these accusations. He inspired teenage juvenile delinquents to turn their lives around. It bothers me to know that there are corrupt cops out there that intentionally set up good officers for their own personal gain. It bothers me even more that other officers that know that Police corruption is going on and look the other way because their worried about repercussions from other officers and their departments. It sickens me that Police corruption like this goes on across the United States. My advice to any officer coming on today is do what’s ethically right on the street. Your integrity is everything. If someone is doing something criminally wrong, you as an officer of the law have an obligation to turn these criminals behind the badge in. There are people in life that are leaders and there are people in life that are followers. Ray is a leader. He stood up knowing that there were going to be repercussions for whistleblowing on these scum bags. There’s not too many people in life that could have handled the mental and physical abuse that Ray and his family suffered. This man deserves to be reinstated and these dirty cops need to be criminally charged and convicted. His story needs to go viral so this type of criminal behavior can be stopped. This story should be heard at every Police Academy across the country. If we don’t do something to stop it, it will only get worse. ~Weed out dirty cops~ If we want Policing to be better it has to be done!!!!
Tell him we all say hi.
You're a good friend to Raymond 💜
Do you think police corruption is getting worse or has it always been like this? This opens up a whole can of worms in all parts of the government… you have to wonder how fck’d up it all really is…
Thank you for officers like you and this man.
May all prosper with grace and integrity

Most of the "sheeple"and "ignorant"ones, always assume that cops always do the right thing, like they are morally correct 💯 percent of the time, when in actual fact, they are just as subseptable to lying, cheating and stealing, just as you and I are. If anyone has reason to distrust the police,it's the African American peoples. I'm Caucasian, and from Vancouver Canada, and I'm not gonna say I can begin to fully understand what it's truly like in your country regarding racism, but I was on the street, and encountered so much police corruption from theft, racism, assaults, and less concern over what they deemed as, crimes that didn't need solving. They didn't even look into the 30+ missing women from the downtown Eastside, until more women had gone missing, and a serial killer was finally revealed. The running joke in Vancouver is,"who's the biggest gang in town"...the V.P.D. Take care, and peace to you and your family.🙏

If I could ever be a fraction of the man this man is I would be more than satisfied with my life what an amazing human
Me too I’m nothing compared to him I’m good hearted at best
This is testament that being a good natured person is the most difficult path in life. People took advantage of him at every turn, perceiving him as an easy mark because of his kindness.
His life would have been much easier had he turned cold and hateful, but he made it through with his nature intact; truly commendable. I would say less than 1% of people make it through this path unscathed and unchanged.
It’s only a mirage that his life would’ve been easier if he’d been the evil, violent person that his environment wanted him to be - he’d likely be dead, disabled or on death row right now had he done that. He’s a modern day Job from the Bible.
@Wide awake human, You mean god choose him to torture so he could win a nonsensical bet against the devil ? 😂 Ok I guess.
@@WideAwakeHuman You are perceiving those things as easier than what he's been through, where as I am not.
It would have been the path of least resistance to turn to violence, take his own life or enact his rage upon someone else; it would have also been the easy path to condemn all police as his father did, but he chose forgiveness - thats a difficult thing in itself that not many people are capable of.
To struggle on and survive with himself intact is the hardest thing he could have done. In that sense, his life would have indeed been easier, had he changed his nature. I'm not saying it would have been as long of a life or a better one, just one with less struggle and requiring less perseverance
He’s an example of Jesus.

I am in no way saying I didn’t do wrong and get myself into trouble …but I will say they make it impossible to fix things. After all I have been through I can see why so many people don’t go straight and fix their lives … they forever treat you like a criminal and make it so hard to fix things :/
I did fix it, I fixed my life. It wasn’t because they helped or encouraged me … I did it for my son. It was incredibly difficult to do :/
Much love y’all
You know I give authorities who fail to stand up in the face of corruption a lot of sh*t, but what they did to Ray shows you why people are afraid to speak up. Our system is so broken it makes me sick. Honesty and bravery such as he’s shown is so rare in todays world. God bless you Ray 🙏🏼
It's not just broken. He endured corruption, which is likely much worse😢
If they can't beat your conscience out of you they'll psychologically torture you, and if they can't do that they'll ruin your life. That's why so few cops speak up about corruption, nobody wants to be the next Frank Serpico because they have to go through hell and they come out the other side destroyed. Even Teddy Roosevelt couldn't fix the NYPD, they chewed him up and spat him out. The only silver lining is that the system is better than it used to be.

Also, he might be able to have strength to forgive for the sake of his own self, but I don't. I hope all the cops that tried to set him up over and over again, get street justice on them.
A GREAT man. His story brought me to tears.
He tells his story exactly like my daughter would. In great detail, remembering things that most people wouldn't even think of and day by day. I love this.
So sweet how u speak on the observation of ur daughter & this man 🤎
Ray your story reached me, and it moved me in my own period of trials and feeling like theres no escape. Thank you. Sending you some love and prayers.
I cried more for this man's struggle than most any. His life of giving has been rewarded by injustice. As much as he tries to do right, it seems he is punished. My prayers are with him in that he finally finds peace within this lifetime. He is a gem, thank you Mark. This story needs to come out.
this has to be one of the most moving videos i've ever seen on this channel and i've seen A LOT. i never knew people like this existed in real life, i thought it was only in movies. God bless this man and his family. only god can put someone through so much and keep them from turning into a bitter person at the end of it. This man is still a kind soul after all he's endured. I commend you Raymond. You're an angel on earth. You're truly an inspiration, God bless you
This stuff happened to me too because of trying to help the community. I’m crying because I’m not alone and it happened to some other honest person. Life is so cruel
Thank you Mark for giving this hero a platform to share his story. I feel like just watching this video has given me strength
Definitely changed my views on a few things poor guy all because he didn't wanna be a bad cop
This man is inspiring, hearing his story really is powerful.
One thing I love about this man is he knows every single persons name who helped him out. Their first and last name. Without even skipping a single beat, he listed off every single person by their first and last name. This was very a very inspiring story. “God takes you to the lowest point in your life so you can see the people around you.” Damn that hit.
Raymond Hicks is a hero. He stood up for what is right, against corruption, despite the unjust consequences. This is what a hero looks like and I hope he continues to share his story with the world and continues to stand up for what is right. I hope his heart heals fully from all he's been through and that his family's hearts do too. What an incredible and moving story. Thank you for sharing, Raymond.
Thank you for allowing this man to tell his story.
wow, I am so sorry about all that this man has gone through. A movie needs to be made.
I am holding you in the highest regard. My words cannot convey the amount of love and respect I have for you Sir.
Your story has helped to restore my own faith in humanity. I also have suffered for being honest and having a voice. Nowhere near what you have endured but I understand that lonely place and the cruelty that can follow. Thank you for your suffering. Thank you for not letting anyone change who you are. It has helped change the world and shown others that they to have a voice. They to can use it and we can all pull together and make this world the amazing bright place it can be. Thank you from the depths of my Soul for shining your Light. Knowing there are others out there with a heart like yours helps me to keep going (and many others I’m sure). If I’m lucky enough for you to receive this message I do hope you can feel the love and gratitude coming directly from my heart to yours.
God Bless you friend!!!!
Thank you Mark for bringing this amazing human to my attention. ❤❤❤
