The Porsche PCM control system is no doubt one of the best. The other equally good system is the Mercedes Benz MBUX system.
Proximity sensor is that when your hand gets close to the screen the options menu to the left pops up so you can choose faster

Very good review! I just ordered a 2021 Macan S and was frustrated about the lack of info in the printed user manual or availability of a pdf to fully explain the PCM system. Your review helped a lot. Would have been even more useful if you went a bit further in using the on board navigation system. I am an android user (Samsun Galaxy S10+) and won't be able to use Apple Play.
I have issue with PCM system, my language is set for english in settings but in navigation it shows german , can you please advise how to change it

If you select 3D buildings and setup the Connect services, you'll have full Google maps satellite imaging and more realistic voice interaction functionality.
I just can't figure out how to get the voice dictation function for my Note10 plus to allow me to reply to sms text messages with my voice. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

The tech is poorly designed. You can’t simply scroll through favourite radio stations from the wheel. You have to find your station whilst driving. The SatNav never understands the address you say and often will not find the address you type in as it wants the European style of street name before street number. Can they replace the whole PCM with what KIA has? What a fail for a car that costs this much!!!
imho BMW has a better system ...
