Especially being able to work past the bad moments in life, because we all get them. Learning to deal with them to save your sanity when you don't have support can be rough. Well into my 70s now, and don't regret a single thing. Life has sent, and will most likely still continue to send me the most dreadful curve balls, but no matter how awful they were at the time, they are still among the experiences which have shaped my current life, and I wouldn't change any of them, even if I could. I have sometimes wondered what would have happened if I had or hadn't done X or Y, but the truth is that I will never know. I might have achieved other things, lived a different Life but I cannot know whether it would have made me any happier.....some of my greatest joys have emerged from my greatest sorrows.
Life for me has been a constant series of ups and downs. The ups are wonderful, the downs have become the starting blocks for the next up.

at the very least try to network with good people even if your studies don’t lead to the path you think you want, I was forced into community college programs, coding, veterinary technician, and patient care technician and none of those things worked out for me in the end, but the relationships I had built got me on to the right path for me, without relying on what I had learned from the programs specifically, I’m 28 now, and my advice to you 19 year olds would be to develop your social skills and take care of your body - try to save the video games for when you are older and more established and spend your time exercising instead, I wish I had done less gaming so I’m playing catch-up on my physical fitness now

I just turned 50 years old, I agree with all of these. If you are a young person then this good advice.
I want to add though that having financial independence and a sound emotional self awareness is very important.
These two things will help you weather life's curveball that will get thrown at you at some point.
    1. Financial independence : Don't count on anyone to provide for you, if you are on your own unexpectedly a solid career will be paramount.
    2. Emotional self awareness : People whom you trust wholeheartedly are capable of hurting you, really bad.
Be Emotionally strong and don't lose sight of who you are and what you know about yourself.
Now carry on young people. You are loved, you are good, be honest and truthful to yourself and those around you.

I was doing a lot of acting out when I was younger dealing with trauma, grief and loss and not understanding my emotions and feeling like nobody could understand me at all! But I’ve grown up and realize that holding grudges and bitterness doesn’t help and you can lose so many things in the process. I’ve missed out on alot of things. I’m 33 now and still don’t know what I will ultimately do with my life. I deal with major depression, anxiety, emotional detachment, insomniac sleep patterns and emotional eating. I’ve been an emotional eater for years, it has morphed into stress and binge eating at times. The pandemic has made things rather difficult emotionally, more than they were before. But this year, I’ve decided to prioritize my life and make the effort to change my situation, mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. I’m taking it one day at a time. I don’t want to be in the same place a year from now. I know it’s hard to move forward but I want to to be a better me because I know I’m meant for something great. 🤞🏾

Also, I think that most people's greatest regrets are the things they DIDN'T do. I would also remind any young people reading this, that a "happy life" is nothing but a long string of happy days. My work life has often been negatively impacted by folk with more than enough’ self belief’...of course you have to make things happen but there’s a tipping point where this is concerned. Believing you can make anything happen if you try hard enough is all very well unless you’re the one or people whom happen to in the way or perceived as being an obstacle of those ideals or dreams . 🐢❤️

I find it extremely difficult to hear "you only live once", or every day or minute counts. It's super anxiety-inducing to me, and I know I'm not the only one. It puts so much pressure on you, to do amazing great things, to enjoy life to the max, to live each day as it were your last...I'm in the throes of depression, anxiety, bpd, so no, each day and each second isn't a magical pic nic turned into a significant experience, as I struggle to just function most days. Some days I'm just "happy" I managed to go grocery shopping.... :/

I agree. I hate this notion of "live life to the fullest" because it does put pressure on you to do something out of the ordinary. I personally think you just being you, and taking time to show kindness to strangers is good enough to be considered "fullness". We cannot live our lives like some roller coaster or skydiving adrenaline rush everyday, we are only simple peasants after all.

Be grateful is probably the best life advice that I could ever give anyone. Life doesn't always go according to plan and it's full of hardships, but counting your blessings and recognizing all the good in your life not only turns your view towards the positive, but over time will help you value things more. I know a lot of adults older than me who are miserable because they're ungrateful of what they have and are always focusing on what they don't.

4:54 this one truly is something i appreciate the most. Exercise was the one thing that I'm sure people always gave up on after a while and are not fully commited, but since we are in a middle of a pandemic I just decided to start working out on 21 of November. I didn't think through it, I didn't tell myself I was gonna do it. I just did it and now about a month and a half I've lost a small amount of weight which I am still proud off even when it's only a small amount. Now the curveball to this story is that I have to return to school, and since I have to return to school now I got no free time or space to fit in my exercise routine and don't get enough sleep now. Thanks alot school

What do you study? Does it really take your whole day? I used to excuse myself of having no time, saying the same thing, school takes all my time, truth is, if you organize yourself well you probably have time, wake up early and be productive, you can get plenty of exercise in 45min, sink that in, you only need 45min of your daytime or even night time to get a good workout in.

Because it's true, the way you treat your body (and mind) now, will reflect in how you feel when you're older. This is exactly where I’m at in life. I’m 52 and just lost my beautiful daughter-she was 32yrs & this took over since Nov 2021. Anyway I’d say a month before I was sorting my life & proud of my 4 independent & successful. Never came back home or needed money. Probably thought I didn’t have any lol. Then tired of being stuck. So the new year about to be my life future is all mine now. Husband don’t wanna do anything I wanna do or experience.
Now I’m healing & back on track. It’s Hard not have anyone that’s ok with be their to talk and understand.
That got me to realize to find a job and give myself 3 months before I’ll evaluate how my plan effects relationship in good or worsen things. 2nd task will give me 50% of the positive road to take. Yet I’m not sacrificing things for myself. I truly don’t know how things will play out but at least I have a plan A & B. I know y’all think I’m nuts for carrying on and on. I’m s apologize if I hit a nerve. Again great & so factual. Thank y’all sharing with the world

I'm planning on starting a business and there's a lot of anxiety and uncertainty with this. So I have been spending the last few months stepping back and asking myself about how I can avoid, resolve, or a fail-safe to these fears of mine. I believe this helps me in the long run by helping to better structure the foundations of my business idea for years to come.

I think a big one that really stood out to me was how much people change as you get older. I'm 26 and when I was 17/18 I thought me and my friends had really reached adulthood, there wasn't much more to it, yet, I lost touch and recently reconnected with some and it is completely different, they are different people that have lived through different experiences in life and those friendships will never be the same as they were.
What I'm trying to say is, everyone changes in some way - whether good or bad is something you won't know until it has already happened.

The harshest truth I learned 7 years ago and still haven’t been able to fully accept is that NO ONE except maybe (hopefully) your parents , will ever truly love you for you. This is reality. Your parents are the only ones that are capable of loving you for you because they saw you as an infant newborn and raised and invested so much into you physically and emotionally. Ultimately we are all just accepted by society based on how much value we bring to the table. And once you’re unable to contribute anymore value you are discarded by society.

This isn’t true. What should be said is no one is going to love you as much as you love yourself. Self sacrifice isn’t love, weak boundaries is not love, people pleasing isn’t love. How we honor ourselves gives the blueprint. Also we are singularly responsible for ourselves and someone taking on responsibility for you also doesn’t equate to love.

My late wife worked with many people to help them improve their lives. One issue she found many ladies were still burdened with into their senior years; her own Mother included, was that they had never learned that it was okay to say No!, For decades they had always put others needs ahead of their own. Once they recognized this trait in themselves and learned that it was a good thing to put their own needs ahead of others' needs some of the time, each experienced a life-changing release and true feelings of freedom. The ladies I speak of were in their 60's, 70's and 80's and would have benefitted significantly had they realized this much earlier in life.

I need too be more grateful for the time I have and with the moments I get to spend with my favorite people and basically everything that is happening. Be grateful everyone ♥

I guess I should consider it lucky, I learned most of this already.
    1. Time never lasts forever: I especially figure this out when I'm having fun. Goes by way too quickly.
    2. You need to takes the risk: As I get older, I regret more the things I've should have done rather than the things I failed at
    3. Don't act like someone you are not: This one is pretty recent, only now have I been comfortable with who I really am. And even better, I have found people that can accept me.
    4. Take care of your body: After not having insurance for the longest time, and going to the Dr. I found I had to change a few things. Really eye opening
    5. Don't be too tough on yourself: Having always felt I was the victim, this was pretty easy.
    6. Building a strong relationship: This came with knowing people can accept me for who I am. I have talked about subjects I never would have with friends in the past
    7. Life throws curveballs: Well yeah, would have never expected a world wide shut down would happen, or that this shut down made me come to terms with being trans.
    8. Material goods don't bring joy to your life: Once again, only recent. Grew up in a family where money is tight and lived the same way. After years of saving, I've found it's not doing much. It much more fun to go out to a great Diner, than see higher savings.
    9. Don't give up too quickly: I've always been stubborn, and find the best things in life are worth striving for.
    10. Be Grateful: This I've struggled with for years. I'm happy of my accomplishments, but I'm still no Millionaire.
Hopefully that wasn't too long. All the same, great content as always.

“#4 Take care of your body,” I cannot stress this enough, when I was younger, I would pick up heavy items and equipment that should have been picked up with a crane, I always felt I had to prove how strong I was, now that I’m almost 50, my back hurts horribly, all of the time. I wish I could go back, and tell my younger self to not be so stupid with my body.

There have been times when I’m having a difficult day all if a sudden, there’s a video from you. I don’t believe in coincidences, I believe God has a hand in that. But I really just wanted to say thank you so very much for being there. Hearing your voice is immediately soothing and I always come away feeling better. I’m very grateful for all of you. And the animators too! They really make me smile 😊. ✌🏻&❤️ to all of you involved with the channel and anyone reading my comment. I told my best friend everything that happened in my life. I trusted her so much. I wish we were still friends. She was the only person I had to talk to. She hurt me tbh, but I guess I hurt her too, and I bring myself down because of that. I have delt with losing a best friend before, but this isn't the same. The last time this happened, it wasn't my fault, and the person wasn't a good friend at all. This is something I wrote to her once, "I wish I could listen to music all day and cry too, but I have to go to school. If I fake sick and they believe me, I get my phone took away just in case. I also hate school. Social anxiety makes it so hard. Sadly my social anxiety is so bad that I sometimes about cry. My anger issues get stirred up into my social anxiety and then stress comes in too. I hate school. I hate it. School. Everything is about school, unless it's the weekend." (Let's just call her Amy) If I'm being honest with you, Amy saved my life once. Even though she wasn't face-to-face with me, she still "saved" me. I'm not going to get into details about what happened, but I was depressed back then. This is my second round of being depressed. Maybe someone can help me. I just want to talk to someone that will actually listen and care.

After watching this video it made me cry a bit because I wanted to be a UA-camr gamer or make review in anime. But I have studies and trying to balance my stuff, but my mom says she support me doing it, but I was happy, but deep down I knew is a lie. I trying to be positive but reality my mom tries to control me saying stuff that are lies. I wanted to start in my Christmas break, but it never happened she say I have time and at the same time she’s waiting for my class course to start for I won’t be able to balance my life. I was always full of doubt of myself, my self esteem, confidence and everything and started to realized it was her doing trying to manipulate me. To groom into her own tool, it’s time for to wake up to reality. I finally realized I was never happy because I never decided what I wanted to do. I did because to bring satisfaction to other, well no more.

I'm in my late 60's, I've never been materialistic, but the other 9 I can relate to.
#4- Should be one of the first things taught at a very young age. When I was a child, we were taught to overeat- my dad put adult size portions on our plates and we were made to clean our plates. The consequence was that all of us kids became Obese. Parents need to learn that when kids say they're full, let them stop eating; but no sugary treats afterwards.
#2- Believe in yourself enough to "take the risk". If you don't, chances are that there will be lost opportunities in love, career, and accomplishments; your #1 regret.
#10- No matter how little, or how much you get out of life, it's yours to own. Always, Always, ALWAYS feel Blessed.

Enriching. Thank you. People are inherently flawed - many have a temper, a short term memory and limited foresight. But despite our imperfections people live happy lives. In real life, we can't successfully pursue happiness on our own. Seeing the big picture isn't easy, and it's even harder to find a silver lining in a bad situation. Sometimes a challenging problem can be overcome by simply accepting it. The best way to lead a happy life is to accept the harsh realities. Gratitude helps people feel more positive emotions, relish good experiences, deal with adversity and build strong relationships.

I am 77 years old. Looking back I really have no regrets. I grew up on a farm and learned hard work at an early age. In 1963 I graduated from high school and enrolled in college at NIU. I graduated in January of 1968. I went to work in Chicago as a personal trust accountant. I enrolled in Sep of 1769 to DePaul University School of Law night school to get a law degree. After four months I dropped out because I was drafted into the Marines. While in the Marines I volunteered to learn to jump out of planes. I got out of the Marines in September 1971. Shortly thereafter I enrolled in a flight school to learn to fly small planes. I got my private pilot's license and flew for over 40 years. When I was 50 years old I decided to get a black belt in karate. When I was 40 years old I went to a technical school to learn programming. For over 25 years I wrote software for the airline industry. Because of the airline discounts my wife, my daughter, and I traveled to many foreign places.

Cannot fault this video much if not at all. At 63 there were many paths I could have taken to be 'more successful' but who decides what success is? Don't let others dictate what your life should be. Live in the now. In 2019 my wife (of over 37 years) and I took the opportunity to do what we love - travel. So glad we did in hindsight as doors quickly shut in 2020.

God... As a girl who get rejected by the university that ever since a little kid wanted to get in... The number 7 hits so d*mn hard. Even more when you tried so hard and studied and studied and studied one month straight with only 5 hours of sleeps daily but didn't make it... And your best friend, who wasn't even considering that college to enroll, actually gets in...
Yep... I just can't get over it. I know it's bad to feel envy, specially of my bf (don't get me wrong I was really happy for her, but there's a little pinch on my heart that simply doesn't want to go away...) but I jut can't help with it...
    Kinda long text tho...

My classmates who have been more easy going won competitions and were allowed to go to a vacation (that was the prize of competition). I won more than them but my parent never let me go anywhere. I know the feeling. I'm sorry. Keep learning. I'm sure you will get accepted next year!

You seem intelligent enough to get in. Envy is something you can learn to not feel. Have an open mind about why they got it, maybe they downplayed themselves to be humble, make it seem easy but in fact they did work hard. You never know what goes on behind closed doors. Be happy for your best friend, take it as motivation to push harder so you can achieve something which can make you feel proud. You should be proud of your efforts so far, don't beat yourself up, you still need to keep going.

Sometimes when one door closes, another one opens. It wasn't meant to be for your life path. Embrace your new future and find other things to focus on. One of those might be what you are meant for.

Note how many 100s of thousands more views this video has than others - IMO it shows how avoiding regrets is a primary concern. Take whatever 'risk' you feel drawn to! Live Out Loud and you won't live with regrets when you follow your "BIG Yes!" that inner GPS that will guide if you will follow. Namaste

Extraordinary person reading this, you are not define by your circumstance or your past. It’s not what happened to you that determines your success in life; it is how you deal with those circumstances that determines your success in life! You are strong, you are capable and practice forgiveness (Forgiveness is for you) and gratitude everyday. This will change the course of your life forever! Love you always and I believe in you wholeheartedly ✨❤️ - Nat

Definitely suffer from number 5. It kind of made all the other numbers on this list happen to me. Because of that, I have grown to hate everything about myself. Now it's my natural mindset that I can't grow out of.

This made me sub, great video - most of us probably know most of these things but it’s a good reminder when we run into troubles and forget about what’s really important

The only reason people have regrets is because they actually believe things could have been different than they where when obviously they couldn't .... everything is precisely the way it's meant to be already
