I was thinking the other day, how self-confidence is really difficult when you’re young, because you’re trying to believe in a claim that you have no evidence for. Basically you have to have faith because you have no proof that you’ll succeed at whatever you’re trying. The fear of failing can be really overwhelming at times but that’s why it’s even more important to jump in
Your childhood is the reason for those things. I have zero self confidence, because I had a horrible childhood. I can watch 100 UA-cam videos about that topic, but there are things inside, that are really difficult to change. Secure, healthy people can't comprehend that.
As someone now in their early 30s (💀), I encourage everyone in their 20s to try new things. Say yes, move out of your hometown, try new things, hang out with people that are different to you. You will thank yourself later!
Some important points that I captured and will save for my reflection discussion: - It revolves around a simple motto: "Say yes now, figure it out later." - It's crucial to note that this mindset doesn't advocate for saying yes to everything indiscriminately. Instead, it emphasizes calculated risks-moments when a yes could lead to significant personal growth. - It's important to distinguish between genuine comfort and complacency. Saying yes to new experiences can provide that much-needed push to break free from the rut. -Whether it's quitting your job, going on an impromptu trip, or meeting new people, taking those first steps is crucial. -One key component of this mindset is embracing uncertainty.

As someone who is 18 and had just started creating videos on UA-cam, I find that the mindset of "Say yes now, figure it out later" has made me enjoy life a lot more as I grow into my 20s soon. I was hesitant to go on a hike yesterday as I have the worst stamina and I get sick very easily, but I decided to go anyways! Turns out it was the best decision I've ever made cus I made new friends, experienced and documented one of the most beautiful view I've ever seen, and swam in the most mesmerizing waterfall river! So please, to others, do say yes now and figure it out later. Thank you for making a positive impact in my life Kariza.
1:57 I'm in my early 20s and get in my head about a lot of things. I've come to find that the ‘say yes now, figure it out later’ has helped me get to a place in life where I know that I won't regret it when I look back :’). Loved this one even more because it just reminded me of a lot of good things!!
Same!! We took risk. I quit my job, my husband retired and we sold everything in Canada 🇨🇦, moved to the island of the Philippines 🇵🇭. Living in the countryside and we are loving it! Love this… take risks and enjoy the ride

Being an introvert thats the one hardest thing to do. My go-to words used to be NO. I know i have missed many chances, but slowly, i will change. Step by step, day by day. Thank you.
Thank you for this video. I’m turning 30 this November, and watching this video made me look back in my 20s. As I bid goodbye to my 20, it’s quite a journey. All beautiful and painful experiences I have been through shape me to who I am. I think “say yes now, figure it out later” will be my motto in my 30s! 😊
This film resonated so much with where I'm at in my life right now. I have been feeling really regretful with what I have been and have not been doing with the last few years. I feel like I've been on autopilot mode and in such a steady constant state of little to no growth. Say yes now, figure it out later. Didn't know how much I needed to hear that, Thanks, Riza!
i’m 20 and have been solo backpacking the world for the past year. there’s much beauty i’ve seen despite my doubt, by simply saying, yes. i’m off to london for a month in a few days and have been having some doubts. this really reassured me, thank you for sharing this! you are an beautiful soul
Hi Riza, my wife has sent me your channel a few days ago and I'm really proud. It's incredible to see a young filmmaker setting the tone for a new wave. You have inspired me, a little old dog, to create some cinematic vlog to share some life experiences I had along the way. Keep pushing and polishing, I wish only good stuff to you, sister. Kudos from Brazil.
Changing your mindset is like finding your true self. Aligning your thoughts with your purpose transforms struggles into growth. Every decision shapes your path-embrace the power within to create your future.
I was very fortunate to know exactly what I wanted to do in my life from about age 7-8 , and by 30 had done them - nothing to do with money or career ....but then there was the 'What now' moment, I had done the fun stuff but needed to make money and I stumbled from one thing to another, but finally landed in a job that paid the bills and I was pretty good at. Since then I have found a couple of hobbies that made the dreary but well-paid job bearable, and got to 60 with no regrets. I told my kids - do what you want in life, you will figure it out as you go.......just be nice to people.
I turned 20 this year and this video makes me feel somewhat reassured. There are always so many opportunities which are scary but it's nice to know that others feel nervous too. I like the quote 'say yes, figure it out later'. Thank you :)
wtf. Usually I skip ads in videos. Especially when I'm already a patron of the service. But every second of your video, even the ads, is an invaluable moment of content.
This is so great because the moment you tell this message to the world, many people can also learn from it and relate to it. You're such an inspiration!
VLOG 20, can’t believe how fast time goes by, still remember clicking on vlog 1, “be the main character of your life”. The growth you have had is insane!!! Looking forward to the next vlogs!!
So crazy that I randomly stumble across this video, when this is kinda the season I’m going through in life right now. I’m in my early 20’s, and kinda have that unsure confidence that you mentioned, while simultaneously being anxious and scared as hell about what comes next. But I’ve also been trying to be more open and optimistic about new experiences and choices in life as I feel I’ve been in one of those stagnant periods. “Say yes now, figure it out later” is actually such a great quote, and it’s crazy how much I align with that feeling, but have never been able to put it into words. Such a great video! :)
I'm in my early twenties, and I haven't been able to find my place in the world. I've felt overwhelmed by all the pain I've experienced in my life. I've felt lost and alone, and I've questioned my worth as a person. But then I found your UA-cam channel, and I feel like I've finally found my tribe. I'm so grateful to connect with other people my age who share a similar mindset.
Can't lie you having that tatted is legit... first time me seeing a tattoo and wondering if I should also have it. Mindset is everything, loved the message Riza.
Just so you know you inspire me as a youtuber, a photographer, and as a filmmaker. You got me to journal more and keep actual photos on me and not just have them as digital. Please keep creating.
I have to agree that the things most worthwhile and shaping your self-confidence are the things you feel are right or are appealing to you. And I feel as I get further in life, the bigger the risks get because I can build on the confidence of the steps I took before me. Confidence and trust are just that: you trust it before their is proof and after a while you trust yourself because you start to realize you make the right choices because you listen to your intuition that says: I have no idea how I am going to get there but I want this. This has been THE MOST valuable lesson I have learned and I only truly got it 4 years ago. From starting my own business, to breaking up a relationship and getting into the one with the person I was in love for more then 10 years, to closing my business to be a housewife, to starting a garden to feed ourselves with for the entire year, to choosing to heal myself from cancer. And now I am dreaming of moving to Portugal to go live off grid and maybe even have babies (which is huuuuge for me).
This video dropped in a good time. I'm about to start my first job tmr after graduating from university at 23. I definitely relate to this aspect of life. Ngl, I'm pretty nervous (a bit excited) to start a completely different stage of life. But thank you for making this video! It's nice to know that I'm not alone when it comes to the whole "figuring stuff out". But yeah, on to the next stage!
this is the first video of you that i watched. i really love the way you capture the things and places around you and saying wiseful words that i never knew i needed. thank you and please never stop making this kind of content!
Hi! I’ve been binge-watching your videos for the past few days. and as someone who grew up in a Filipino household where perfection is always expected, your videos give me so much comfort and peace. Thank you for sharing your life with us.
Omg, i just randomly saw your vid in my feed while i was looking something to watch. At first clip I was hesitant to continue bc it’s not the usual podcast/vid i watched but I was surprised that I loved it. I just want you to know that watching your video feels so safe and warm. I feel like my feeling rn as an 19yo (coming 20 this December) who felt a lot of pressured was validated. I knew this video is for me when you said “ Say yes now and figure it out later” you never knew how much i really need that rn. Thank you so much and yes, subscribed
Riza, I'm starting my youtube channel and guess who inspired me to start it!?... YOU! you incredibly put life into your content, that's why it draws me in to listen and watch. And about your video, totally agree with do it now and figure it out later, indecisiveness can snap out so many opportunities of discovery. Thank you Riza, appreciate your creative expressions!
your words and videos are so inspiring! all my life i have let the fear of being judged stop me from doing the things i’m passionate about… i’ve always loved cinematography, photography, films, and just anything to do with cameras! but i don’t really have someone who share the same excitement i have over these things with me :( i’m pursuing a different path now. but there’s just something in me that says i should’ve chosen the other route.. i just hope after i finish college i could somehow pursue my dream of filming videos and taking photographs seriously… your work really motivates me to consider taking a leap in my career someday (not now).. 🥹 keep up the good work ate riza! ang galing galing mo 🫶🏻🩷
also, as a filipino, i’m super super proud of you for sharing your work to the world… i rarely know of youtubers who are filipino that make content like yours… your videos are truly a gem to me 🩷😭 ilysm
Being in my mid 30s now, I forgot to keep trying new things that scare me and take me out of my comfort zone. Thanks for the reminder that beautiful things can happen.
this came at the perfect time - i never realized how gradually i retreat back to my shell everytime i go through a phase of stepping out of my comfort zone
man this really spoke to me. I really want to get out of my comfort zone and put myself out there more when it comes to going in the direction of my goals and dreams... like you said, it's a healthy push. :)
i was going to write some really long comment explaining why y love your content, but tbh I just want to thank you, this is, was and will be my little space where I can relax and appreciate the world while watching this amazing things you film. Thanks
You are a true inspiration. I love the way you film your life and how you portray your perspective of things. I want to be just like you when I'm older! :)
I'm not in my 20s yes, but I feel like some of these things you talked about are things I'm currently going through, like wanting to go out and live and have fun and say yes to things I would normally say no to. So now that I'm turning 19, I really want to take the initiative and just say F it and it and just enjoy the moment, because you're 20s are the most memorable, so "just do it and live life is currently my motto"
This video came at exactly the right time - at the beginning of my 30s and this mindset is what I need to really dig hard for things and make some choices that I really want to make but that might not be favourable with those around me. Thanks for sharing your risk and your story, Riza 🙏🏻
Thank you for making this video, I genuinely needed to hear this from someone. I recently moved to a new city after leaving my university a year before the rest of my batch to work in fashion, and my current internship has not been as rewarding as I thought it would be, making me question whether I feel passionate enough about fashion to close all other options, but I know I have to say yes to something, and this feels good for now.
this is something ive recently adopted and been practicing in the past month and in this short time, i have seen opportunities and doors open that i never have before. my relationship with others have deepened so much, and its amazing how powerful that 3 letter word is. yes. always, yes.
Thanks for addressing the season of life. A definite yes in my 20s has turned into a intentional no in my 30s. Appreciate the life lessons you're sharing with the world. Thanks Riza!
Thank you for this timely video and the much-needed reminder for me to take risks, especially now that I am in the latter half of my 20s. Here's to saying yes now and figuring it out later! :)
ANOTHER BANGER ANOTHER BANGER ANOTHER BANGER ANOTHER BANGER I am just entering my 20's and as I finish up college, I definitely resonate with this video.. thank you for creating these wonderful videos
Just turned 20 on the 16th of august and I'm so happy I came across this video. Your video really helped me realize that I need to put myself out there more often and experience life not fearing peoples judgment and opinions. I found a huge sense of comfort with this video and I will save this video when the time comes to where I need to hear your message again. Thank you for being you
I have never come across your content, and now I am binge watching. I am so impressed with your work! Literal tears in my eyes. I love what you do Riza!! Thank you for these mini-films!!
Thanks, Riza! This is exactly what I needed to hear for the past few years. Hope I can now start putting myself out there and hope you can continue spreading positipositivity in people’s lives!
Wow, Riza, your experience and mindset transformation are so inspiring!🧡 You’ve shown that it’s never too late to change how we think and grow. Truly motivational! 🙂
Long and tired days come to an end and I need to shift my mindset for 20s. Thank you for this vlog and I'm missing your vlogs so much. Great to see you again.
Riza, it's so good to watch your videos, hear your life messages, your experiences... I know what it's like to have these thoughts and feel this way. I've also thought a lot about what others were thinking about me and whether I was going to disappoint anyone, and when I saw that the one who was suffering and disappointing was myself. even when I'm busy studying at college, I come to watch your videos and relax! Thank you for always posting for us, thank you for always sharing your moments and thoughts with us! You are beautiful and special, never forget that. ♥♥
As someone in his 20s as well, that "say yes now, figure it out later" mindset is something I definitely need to implement more often in my life. Thank you for inspiring me and all of us, not only with your immaculate storytelling and cinematography, but also with the messages you convey through your videos!
Your channel has truly rekindled my love for UA-cam. In an era where reels and shorts feel so repetitive and commercialized, you've shown the world what hard work and creativity can achieve. Thank you Kariza!
I just turned 20 yesterday and what a good time to watch this video ^^ I am also learning to set aside my doubts and anxiety about all the risks, just go for it and see how it ends, so thank you so much for your message. I think the 20s is always full of uncertainties and chaos, but let's embrace this once-in-a-lifetime chaos together :) And the video is absolutely stunning!
WOW! it's been almost 2 years the last time I watched riza's video. Her channel back then was just about 80k subs as far as I can remember. Now I'm here again seeking riza's therapeutic vids, and it really warms my heart to see how much progress did riza reached through those years. Your vids are truly a gem, and it never fails to help us know ourselves, and step outside the box. Much love riza❤️
So good to know that creators like you can make amazing lessons about life with an equally wonderful shots on video. Keep doing what you're doing, it touches lives with joy!🤗🤗
Your journey inspired me to start recording my life. I really provide me a better sense of clarity. I am planning on making a major career change, a leap of fate maybe, be I am equally excited.
Documenting your life is something I wanna do, cause I am in my early 20s, (basically turning 22 in a few days), and I wanna document my life to look back into. One regret I have is, I wish I have done this when I was 18 or 16, just to see where I was, but I can’t always look in the past, I have to keep my head high and look forward ❤
You and Megan showed wholesomeness that isn't familiar to me. Throughout this piece, I felt as if I had a caged air inside and it didn't burst but it got all exhaled well in ways that I couldn't really explain. Thank you for the validation and thank you for telling my heart and mind that I'm alright to be alone and not be alone. Much love to you, always.
It's my first day in here and I'm loving all this. Blessed be you Riza. I say yes to being alive again. As a filmmaker too I am inspired and yeah lets get going.
saw on my phone that you posted, jumped up to get to my laptop to watch it because your videos definitely HAVE to be watched on a bigger screen. love all of them so much. you truly inspired me and i'm currently filming something for the first time ever because of that. ❤
I just finished up a job this summer, I really enjoyed the process and was offered an extension on a different job. I was curious and jumped in, hoping it would be a good decision. I realized pretty quickly that I did not enjoy the job, and almost dreaded coming into work. Thankfully it only lasted 3 weeks. But I look back and thank myself for taking the opportunity because I have figured out what I value in a job and what I want in my career. Now I know what to do before saying yes! Ask clarifying questions and if the only thing standing between you and this opportunity is some fear, to hell with the fear and do it anyway!
Say yes now and figure it out later really brings you unforgettable moments. If you're always more inclined to say no because it gives you security, it's a really good thing to try and step out of your comfort zone 💛
In making videos like this you have to be a great filmmaker, a great storyteller, a great actress, a great color grader, and probably a lot more great things. Hat's off!!
Wow, I've been following both you and Megan separately for a while, it's so good to see you two together! Exciting stuff, thanks for your content, you're both an inspiration!
What a great video in every way, the message, the cinematography, the editing, everything is excellent! I can see why your channel is popular. Subscribed!
Hey riza, just wanted to let you know that I really love your videos and style. I can't imagine the amount of effort put into making them, but imo it's worth it. Amazing content, please keep it up!
hi riza i recently got into uni & i was so scared to start i was scared to leave home i looked for colleges which are close to my house so i don't have to leave my home but i did it i did what scared me the most i took the first step & it's been only a week since i entered my uni but still there's calmness in my heart that all in time will tell a beautiful story 🥹♥️ i think there's beauty in trying out things what you are most scared of bc on the other side only the good awaits you take the first stepp everyone!!!!
I’ve always protected my peace by defaulting to “no” and being cynical first. I’ve not regretted it. I thought this was the smart thing to do - but now at 30, I’ve experienced how this exact mindset you talked about “Say yes then figure it out” enriched my life lately in a new country ☺️ It’s worth the risk to open yourself up. Thanks for the reminder and as always for your incredible video 🤍
Beautiful work! This video had warm and cozy vibes all around! P.S. I went to get oreos and was originally going to do homework but I decided to watch this video and enjoy my oreos instead!
"It can be intimidating to open yourself up, to show the world who you are and not know how it's going to be received. But we are never gonna know what is on the other side until we take that first step ans see where that tells us to go next". I can write a book on how it felt to hear you say that. My early 20s has been something, but I hope for the next few years to be better and I know I have to change my mindset. Guess its time to do it now and figure it out later. Also, thank you for inspiring me to pick up a camera and learn again.
I have similar motto in my life. My teacher once told that usually older people do not regret that they did something. They regret that they didn’t do something. So I live to do and don’t regret that I didn’t
girl wth these aren't vlogs anymore these are straight netflix productions, what a videographer you are!!!

Good luck for the new chapter of your life! ❤
this is the first video of you that i watched. i really love the way you capture the things and places around you and saying wiseful words that i never knew i needed.
thank you and please never stop making this kind of content!
The lighting on all the shots is just so perfect.
Best thing that ever happened to me this year 😘
Best decision we ever made 🥹❤️
Truly got me tears while smiling!
A genuine thanks for sharing that for us, ur videos never fail to comfort me whenever life’s not going in my way🥲
This is an Emmy award winning film. Thank you for sharing. The ad integration was SEAMLESS
No risk = no reward. Take risk and have fun but also take responsibility for every action and decision you make.
it is more commucation that youtube gives you a sense of humanity unlike social media it makes you feel bad about your self
Treat this as a "Thank you, Riza" button ❤
your words and videos are so inspiring! all my life i have let the fear of being judged stop me from doing the things i’m passionate about… i’ve always loved cinematography, photography, films, and just anything to do with cameras! but i don’t really have someone who share the same excitement i have over these things with me :( i’m pursuing a different path now. but there’s just something in me that says i should’ve chosen the other route.. i just hope after i finish college i could somehow pursue my dream of filming videos and taking photographs seriously… your work really motivates me to consider taking a leap in my career someday (not now)..
Thanks for the reminder that beautiful things can happen.
happy autumn @rdsantonio seratonin/natural happiness watercoloring
You and Colt finally posted! I've been binge watching all your videos for months while waiting for a new one
this came at the perfect time - i never realized how gradually i retreat back to my shell everytime i go through a phase of stepping out of my comfort zone
man this really spoke to me. I really want to get out of my comfort zone and put myself out there more when it comes to going in the direction of my goals and dreams... like you said, it's a healthy push. :)
At 6:17 it took me a while to understand what a beautiful lighting setup you have. it's Amazing.
i was going to write some really long comment explaining why y love your content, but tbh I just want to thank you, this is, was and will be my little space where I can relax and appreciate the world while watching this amazing things you film.
Your storytelling is just phenomenal.
Love your videos and the way of story telling with your camera.
Your personality is so calming and mesmerizing.
Vlog has no business being this good. Holy. First blog I actually enjoyed
ANOTHER BANGER ANOTHER BANGER ANOTHER BANGER ANOTHER BANGER I am just entering my 20's and as I finish up college, I definitely resonate with this video.. thank you for creating these wonderful videos
this warm friendship makes my heart warm
Wow, the videography is on a high level
As someone in his 20s as well, that "say yes now, figure it out later" mindset is something I definitely need to implement more often in my life. Thank you for inspiring me and all of us, not only with your immaculate storytelling and cinematography, but also with the messages you convey through your videos!
Watching her over a cup of coffee in the morning is everything. Thank you Riza! :)
Keep doing what you love. You are doing a great job and your videos are amazing!!!!!
can’t wait to see it ❤️🥹
Your growth since i stumbled on your channel has been amazing and must say your vlogs are magical...keep doing you.
You and Megan make the most adorable and heartwarming duo ever 🥹🥹
Say yes now and figure it out later really brings you unforgettable moments. If you're always more inclined to say no because it gives you security, it's a really good thing to try and step out of your comfort zone 💛
In making videos like this you have to be a great filmmaker, a great storyteller, a great actress, a great color grader, and probably a lot more great things. Hat's off!!
This made me so emotional, beautifully articulated
Wow, I've been following both you and Megan separately for a while, it's so good to see you two together! Exciting stuff, thanks for your content, you're both an inspiration!
What a great video in every way, the message, the cinematography, the editing, everything is excellent! I can see why your channel is popular. Subscribed!
Hey riza, just wanted to let you know that I really love your videos and style. I can't imagine the amount of effort put into making them, but imo it's worth it. Amazing content, please keep it up!
Ahhhh I love your cinematography soooo much! 🥹
hi riza i recently got into uni & i was so scared to start i was scared to leave home i looked for colleges which are close to my house so i don't have to leave my home but i did it i did what scared me the most i took the first step & it's been only a week since i entered my uni but still there's calmness in my heart that all in time will tell a beautiful story 🥹♥️ i think there's beauty in trying out things what you are most scared of bc on the other side only the good awaits you take the first stepp everyone!!!!
proud of you 🥹🫶🏼
I’ve always protected my peace by defaulting to “no” and being cynical first.
Watching “Yes Man” definitely has impacted my life with saying yes to more things and taking more risks. Glad you enjoyed LA/my hometown!
Absolutely living for this continuity 🥲
Beautiful work! This video had warm and cozy vibes all around! P.S. I went to get oreos and was originally going to do homework but I decided to watch this video and enjoy my oreos instead!
Yay! now I want oreos too
"It can be intimidating to open yourself up, to show the world who you are and not know how it's going to be received.
