That’s cool that you’re studying medicine. I’m a physician in the United States. We have many hoops to jump through to successfully practice medicine in the States, especially for those who don’t complete medical school here. Hope the process is smoother in Ireland!
As someone who found himself in much the same boat as you with the idea of writing my own books, I can 100% recommend the "I'm going to write something else first" strategy. I knew from a very young age that I wanted to be an author when I grew up, but I also recognized my own lack of skill and experience, and so I began writing short stories and fanfiction going into my middle school years. It turned out to be perhaps the single best decision I ever made, as it allowed me to share my amateurish writing with a larger group of people, and receive criticism on my work, both constructive and... well, not so constructive lol. I spent 9 years writing fanfiction before I even touched my book project, and I am so glad that I did. It really gave me the confidence to give the project my all once I finally got around to writing it, and now, I am finishing up work on the first book in the series, and I am in talks with agents about potentially selling it to a publisher. So if I can do it, I 100% believe that you can too. I wish you nothing but the best with your writing, and look forward to hearing more about it in the future, when you feel ready to share. Either way, you've earned yourself a new subscriber!
Congratulations on 7k (I see your channel has grown even more recently)! 🎉 I loved learning more about you! I read all the Witcher books around 2018-2019. I can’t remember plot details, but the characters are very memorable. My husband played Witcher 3 during that time, and I remember I influenced him to choose Yennefer over Triss. ❤😂
Congrats on the 5k Subs Wera ! Best wishes to you and all your endeavors. I was born and raised in Brooklyn NY and went to catholic school, as the school was Polish and I was the only Mexican kid, as a result I learned Polish and it helped that my babysitter was an elderly Polish woman. This confused me learning English/Polish/Spanish so my parents moved me to another catholic school and forgot to talk Polish. It would have been awesome to have kept the knowledge !
Really like the book idea, because it could be anything between lovely utopia and dystopia where people hoard time in the sun, looking forward to (hopefully) read it some day. Keep up the great work, 10k coming soon ❤

Congrats on 7000 subs! That was quick, but well deserved. I'm impressed you make time to study medicine, read, create videos, windsurf and probably lots of other stuff. I tried windsurfing in Fuerteventura years ago and maybe reached maybe 2 miles an hour (no straps!), so if you need any tips :) I like the photosynthesis based society book idea, but it would probably make my home city of Manchester some kind of sun-deprived dystopia. I'm sure your viewers can the tell the difference between genuine passion and a fangirling persona (hence the increasing subs), though I watch for your honest opinions on a range of books. Interesting to hear your comparison between The Witcher and The First Law. One I love and the other I'm still on the fence about (heresy, I know) so I'll have to try Sword of Destiny soon-ish. I hope you and your family enjoyed your USA tour. Best of luck for the next milestone, Wera.

As for The Witcher, it's definitely not for everyone, so if you don't like it, that's ok :) Happy reading!
Wow thank you for commenting!! Yeah if there’s one game that I want done right is TES6. Kinda hoping they go through with the Tower theory but idk if they will since Kirkbride’s gone

I just finished the first law trilogy based on your recommendations in all the videos you have talked about it. I loved it! It’s definitely similar in tone to the Witcher and, despite my love for Witcher, in my opinion Joe Abercrombie is a much stronger writer than Sapkowski. Now trying to speed read the stand-alones so I can get to Age of Madness trilogy. It’s hard to imagine how much better it can be than first law with the bar already being so high.
Ahhhh I’m soooo happy! And I agree that Abercrombie is a better writer. I think I enjoyed the trilogy on par w The Witcher, but Age of Madness surpasses it.
Excellent choice, Shouting out Bubbell's channel. She's absolutely fantastic and her playthroughs are excellent and fun. (Her laugh is legendary and makes even the worst days much better.) Her Witcher 3 playthrough videos have been the most enjoyable witcher gameplay videos, That I've seen in a very long time.

Also your opinions about the different Witcher Schools founders would be great too.
Oooo to be honest I don’t know much of that lore bc it wasn’t really in the books (if you’re referring to what I think you are). So before I’d make any statements I’d need to educate myself on the lore
I gotta admit your English is truly impressive. I'm from Poland just like you, and even though I consider myself to be pretty experienced with English language, I'm literally a n00b compared to you. Well anyway, regards to our polish cute friend! (:
As someone who also has a very monotone voice I really love your voice! I get the same kind of complex when I edit my videos, it feels like my voice is grating or boring, but seriously listening to yours it just sounds very calming :)
@@valliyarnl 😂😂 yes every week on my channel there is still a [not] tripod! Again so awesome your channel is growing! Here for the ride (and obviously Malazan). You’re also inspiring me to add The Witcher to my TBR!
I’ve also made a pilgrimage to Goodsprings!! It’s crazy how even the school is in the right place. If you go inside the diner they have a framed copy of New Vegas on the wall. Also, I was sad to see that the Primm coaster isn’t an old wooden coaster. Though, I was much less sad to see a complete lack of Legion shenanigans in Nipton. Lol
I’m so sad I didn’t get to go to Nipton or Primm but yeah the saloon was insane. I didn’t expect the inside to look the same so when I walked in I was shocked 🥰
I'm a week late to this video so idk if you'll see this comment but you're the reason i started reading books! I've always wanted to read something but i couldn't find the motivation so when i found your channel i became motivated and started reading the witcher and currently im in Baptism of fire, And also read paper towns by john green so thank you for being my motivation! Love from Egypt!
Hi, totally love your English and voice 😉 Got here from the Witcher plot explanation video and just wanted to find out more about you 😄 Anyways I'm wondering what your take would be on 'The Lord of the Ice Garden' by Jarosław Grzędowicz (4 books, really fast read). Also another one which was on pair with Witcher for me (and I was reading them as they've been published so long painful wait between volumes) is 'The Sword of Truth' by late Terry Goodkind - that one is a big series (the first 4-5 books are solid, then it kind of falls apart so start with the first one 'Wizard's First Rule' - 1994) . Also avoid the show cause it was far and I mean far worse than what Netfix did to Witcher 😅
A RDR2 series of you playing the game would be so cool! The game is not really challenging in terms of the difficulty of its mechanics and the story is simply the best you'll ever find in a video game (maybe except for The Witcher 3). It's like experiencing a movie or show yourself with extremely intriguing characters and plots. Arthur Morgan is just the GOAT!
I’d love to play it but when I will it’ll probably be for myself in my own time. I just don’t think I’d be very interesting when it comes to reacting :/ Plus I don’t want to go too much into gaming bc of the small overlap Ana literary audience
I would like you to make videos in Polish as well. For Slavic viewers, I think they would appreciate it. I'm from the Czech Republic and listening to content in Polish is great. Anyway, keep doing what you're doing, it's great.

I gotta admit your English is truly impressive. I'm from Poland just like you, and even though I consider myself to be pretty experienced with English language, I'm literally a n00b compared to you. Well anyway, regards to our polish cute friend! (:
Congrats. Also went to a British international school (overseas) - hats off. Also I ate a gooseberry for the first time 2 days ago. Had to share.
I hope you were surrounded by lilacs when doing so ;)
@@valliyarnlahahaha sadly no, but maybe one day :p
El otro día vi los 47 minutos de video y me sorprendió como no paraste de hablar ni un segundo, encima con un inglés perfecto 💯
Amé tu acento hablando español, y felicidades por los 5k subs!
Gracias 💞
Gratki Wera, 10k już na horyzoncie
dzięki !!
As someone who also has a very monotone voice I really love your voice! I get the same kind of complex when I edit my videos, it feels like my voice is grating or boring, but seriously listening to yours it just sounds very calming :)
Im glad someone thinks that aboutt my voice haha 😅 good luck with your channel!
Big grats due! Awesome to see you grow
OH MY GOSH YOU ARE SUBSCRIBED TO ME!??!? IM SUCH A FAN OF YOU AND YOUR [not] TRIPODS FROM TALKING STORY!!! AHHHH
...
thank you for commenting 😊
@@valliyarnl 😂😂 yes every week on my channel there is still a [not] tripod!
Again so awesome your channel is growing! Here for the ride (and obviously Malazan). You’re also inspiring me to add The Witcher to my TBR!
@@Chance.Dillon subscribing to you right now
20 and accomplished so many things 😄
Love from Egypt!
wow thank you for this comment! It means so much! Happy reading
I just don’t think I’d be very interesting when it comes to reacting :/
Plus I don’t want to go too much into gaming bc of the small overlap Ana literary audience
Congratulations on reaching 7.05K subscribers. Well-deserved.
it means so much coming from you! you subscribed when I was below 1k, I think? Anyways, you've been here from the start. thank you for your support 🫶🏻
@@valliyarnl You're very welcome. It's a pleasure to watch your videos. I'm not sure when I subscribed, but I am extremely happy that I did.
After your triss comments you are my fv human. I love you❤
Gz on 5k :) Best wishes and look forward to seeing your channel grow :)
Thank you 🙏
Gratulacje! Coraz bliżej do stu tysięcy

Każda podróż zaczyna się od jednego kroku ty masz już 7 k 😂
Dlaczego tu jest tyle komentarzy po polsku??
@@bajgiel_miasanmia bo jestem Polką!
I would like you to make videos in Polish as well. For Slavic viewers, I think they would appreciate it. I'm from the Czech Republic and listening to content in Polish is great. Anyway, keep doing what you're doing, it's great.
Greetings from Spain and congrats on the 5k Wera! . Love your channel :)
Awesome! Thank you!
Congratulations 🎉🎉👏🏻👏🏻
Congratulations!
🥳
You deserve the fast growth your videos are very good and you are very engaging idk why 🤷🏻♂️😅😂😂

Kurczę masz rację 🤦🏼♀️ wyszłam na idiotke haha
No to mam nadzieję że fajnie to będzie wyglądało w remake-u
Hello new sub here, because of you I decided to buy the Witcher books, they arrive tomorrow, just recently got into the series beating the Witcher 2 and 3. I’m very excited to learn the entire history
Hope you love it! Remember book 1 is The Last Wish!
❤Gratulacje Werka❤
❤️❤️
Tu español está bastante bueno, no te preocupes! Tu acento esta bien y con práctica estoy seguro que mejorarás super rápido!
came for the witcher content, stayed for the booktube. cant wait to see you at 1 million
glad to have you here! i love your confidence in my hypothetical booktube future 😅
félicitations ! found you with one of your joe abercrombie video and then found out that you're a witcher fan !! never subscribed faster in my life
la prochaine langue que tu dois apprendre est le français ! 🇫🇷
oh my. French is definitely on my "to-learn" list but for now I have to focus on pharmacology 🫠
¡Muchas felicidades! Tu español es muy bueno al igual que el contenido de tu canal. Gran video el de los crímenes de Netflix con The Witcher, me encantó. Saludos desde Cuba.
Muchas gracias ☺️ saludos desde Polonia 😁
Congratulations on 5K!
Thank you, Dark One… (does this make a me a dark friend?)
@@valliyarnl Yes, you're Witcher takes put you in favor
Man Congrats on the blow up!!!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Thank you 😁😁
Wind's howling
¡Felicidades! Ahora ya son más de 11k. No has dicho nada de forma incorrecta (improper). Suena algo raro cuando dices "estudiélo" (i studied it), no porque sea incorrecto, sino porque a la mayor parte de los hispanohablantes les suena anticuado (old fashioned). Lo habitual es decir "lo estudié".
Congrats on 5,000 subs, very well deserved. I would have never guessed that you were a windsurfer, very cool. I have tried it before, and quickly realized it wasn't for me. anyway, you seem like a very interesting and smart woman, and I look forward to your future videos.
Thank you very much!
👏🎉
Congrats on getting to 5k🎉
Thank you so much 😀
@@valliyarnl ♥️
Congratulations. It would be awesome if you made a graphic novel review of The Witcher.
Hmmmm maybe in the future but taking a probably month long break from The Witcher again bc I don’t wanna become a Witcher only channel
@@valliyarnl Will you ever make a just Witcher channel or another channel for anything?
@@thewaysiwonder9885 mmm another channel maybe? but that would be in the future where I have someone who edits my videos bc that's very very time consuming.
I don't think I could do a Witcher only channel because I think that if I put pressure on myself to ONLY talk about the Witcher, I'd fall out of love with it.
Gratulacje!!
Dzieki!
Love your spanish!! Your joy of books and passion is really well transmited! Keep up the good work and always being yourself :) Congradulations for your milestone! Would love to have you on the channel for a chat one of theses days and we will have the chance to talk a bit of spanish too :D Cuidate :)
thank you! if you have any ideas for a collab do email me :)
(wouldn't be able to do anything before september tho)
Congrats!
Thank you!
