Nice video. When using the rotisserie you use indirect heat only from the burners on the ends so you take off the middle heat tents or flavorizers and put a drip pan over the unlit burners. You will then have plenty of room.
Thank you for the very clear instructions. I needed the basics (like take off the blue film before screwing the part onto the grill) so this video was perfect for me.
When threads are lefty tighty righty loosie, they’re called reverse threads. Its done so the threads don’t untwist from the lefty loosie rotation. Anyway, just picked up a Genesis II S-345 (Costco version) and I love it. I saw that it is rotisserie capable and so far your video is the only one that answered my unanswered questions. I also have the 22” kettle with the rotisserie ring and love that too. Cooked a 20lb turkey on that with room to spare. But I guess the Genesis will only be good for smaller meat, as nobody else but you showed. Keep up the good work.
Hi man, First of all thank you for your videos. I have the same bbq as you only the 4 burner. Therefore I learn a lot from watching you. The space underneath the rotisserie indeed is small, the thing that works well for me is to remove some of the flavoriser bars, you get a lot more space underneath and if you keep the burners clean afterwords it should not be a problem I think. Just a tip from another Genesis owner✌️. Keep the videos going! Greetings from The Netherlands, Amsterdam. Raymond
Good job dude. I have an older Weber rotisserie but a new Weber grill so the old rotisserie spit is too small. I ordered a sectional spit on Amazon, hope it works. Your instructions helped since the new spit had no video instructions. thanks
nIce video. I have the same bar b q and just started rotessering. I noticed the height restrictions between the food and pans. Wondered how to get some more height there.

Thanks for creating this video as it's very timely for us. Two days ago we just purchased the smaller Genesis E-210 and were considering a rotisserie. Now that I've seen how little space there is I'm having second thoughts. I'm also surprised there's no counter balance.
+George Reed I have a video coming with a food cook on the rotisserie. It might change your mind about getting a rotisserie 😀 . You just can't do a full sized turkey. But I plan to show plenty that can be done. Last year was lots of smokes. This year may feature lots of rotisserie spinning. Everything is balanced just fine. You'll see in my next video. Already filmed. Just have to edit.
+George Reed Great, we small creators are in desperate need of subscribers. You may not have heard. UA-cam will stop monetizing this channel and other small channels on February 20th. Channels need at least 1000 subscribers and 4000 hours watch time then. This channel has way over the required watch hours, but needs a couple hundred more subs.
Do you think that with a pair of extra forks you could do two chickens side-by-side? Weber sells the forks as a replacement item. So it’s not visible on their website. You have to call customer service to order them as a replacement. Also, do you think that the motor can handle rotating two birds?
Definitely a small area to work with. Do you think a chicken has to be centered on the rod. I have a four burner, and wondering if I could still leave one of my grates in to cook other stuff while the chicken is cooking. Also, do you know what heat level and time it takes to cook yet? Look forward to that video next.
+Michael Sterling My next upcoming video is sure to answer your questions. 2 chickens on the rotisserie, with a baste made up 😋 . But I will answer in words for now. No, you don't have to center the meat on the rod, but I can't say how things will turn out since I never actually did a full cook on one side. But I think it would work out fine. Heat level and time is pretty much identical to without the rotisserie. What I discovered and you'll also see in the upcoming video. Is that you can put the iGrill 3 Ambient Probe on the lowered warming rack. I will demonstrate how in the video. But the temp is a good bit higher than the hood temp. And due to the position of the ambient probe in such a case. It is not nearly accurate, reads way too high, like 50° F.+ too high. So the hood temp is more accurate.
Thanks for the video, D. Great presentation, brah. I've got a Weber kettle rotisserie that has a lot more clearance for a turkey, pork shoulder, etc. Kind of disappointed in the gas grill option. Too limiting, I think.
What you're calling a burner cover is the _flavorizer bar_ and cutting it would come cause drippings to go onto the burner. Which is going to shorten the life of the burner. And i am pretty sure it would also void the 10 year warranty. And the open propane fueled flame is going to cause very uneven cooking. Seems better to just get a Weber Kettle and its rotisserie kit, if you really want more room on a rotisserie.
And if you wanted to try that. You don't have to cut it. The flavorizer bars are removable. But that open flame will probably cause things to not cook even and so on as mentioned. They're supposed to remain on during cooking by design.
I ordered an extra set of spit forks with counter weight from Amazon to make cooking two chickens easier. Why Weber didn't provide more clearance is a mystery.
I got my rotisserie today, mounted the motor bracket, and when I installed the motor, it sits on the side table of the grill and doesn’t fully engage with the bracket! I assembled the rod, fully installed it into the motor, and the square part of the rod is in the groove on the right side of the grill wall!
Have you tried putting in a couple of nuts and bolts on either notch to raise up the rotisserie bar. It should still work. Very disappointing that Weber designed it provides such a shallow zone for the rotisserie.

Quick question - I have a Genesis II LX S-340 and bought the rotisserie and kebab kit for it. Do you remove the attachment (the bit that holds the motor) from the grill after each time you've used the rotisserie or do you just leave it permanently attached?
A company called "One Grill" makes a MUCH better rotisserie than Weber.....just Google their website. The spit rods are cut to the correct length for YOUR Weber. They also have baskets and tumblers, all in either chrome or 304 stainless. Installation is a breeze. Motors are avail in battery powered or electric AC. The price for my model was even better and will hold a heavier meat load.

This is my next project this weekend! Was so excited to find another of your great videos to get me ready for install!
Thank you for the video. Appreciate the time you spent making it.

Agreed. I haven’t searched for Weber videos for about 12months and when I do the first link is D Grill. Love your videos.

I agree. I have seen the Kettle rotisserie and it's impressive. You would think the pricer grill would have better tools 🤔.
What about taking a Dremil with a rotary cutter and cut off about an inch or so of the bottom of the burner cover? Sounds pretty good to me.

No, I leave any customizations up to others who want to try. If I tried, I would be the one to fail 🤣

It remains permanently attached.
D Grill Super! Thanks for clarifying and thanks also for the great content - really enjoying watching your videos.
Is your rotisserie a Weber made or universal fit? I can't seem to find one for my Genesis 320.
See: ua-cam.com/video/11iXKvicJdY/v-deo.html
Could I get the part or model number for that Weber rotisserie?
I think it's the one that will fit for my BBQ. Thanks.

Hey, thanks. I found one on Amazon. I will have it on Monday. My BBQ will now fear me.
👍🏿😂
Thanks! BUT, now, I’m switching to Allstate!
🤣
I’m undecided between the genesis 2 e310 or the e315 with the cabinets it’s a 200 dollar difference
You have to consider whether you have a useful need for the cabinets 🙂

Well, that's a factor for your environment that only you can answer best 🙂👍🏿

That took 16 mins for a 90 a second set up! Need to focus on the key steps which was basically installing some bolts and screwing rods together 🤦🏻
That's good for _your channel._ I will be detailed on mine.
Don’t get a job fixing aircraft with your dropsy … you got there in the end especially when u worked out left hand threads
