    Spectacular job bro! You are an example of something that has been forgotten in our culture. While it is easier to discard and replace, the pride and worth of a total rebuild as you demonstrated is a better option. Well done sir!

    just picked one up for 100 bucks on marketplace. It is natural gas so got a kit to convert it to propane. It was really dirty but cleaned up and looks like new. 2018 genisis II. These webers are made to last.

    Those 2 screws on burner 1 and 3 do not need to be removed; burners just slide out after loosening knob supports.

    Awesome! Another Weber saved! Pro tip! Take a window scraper (razor) to the i side of that lid. Scrape as hard as you can, you won’t scratch it. It will look brand new like the outside.

      I bought this exact grill already restored on craigslist for 200 bucks like 6 years ago. I just ordered new flavorizer bars and a grease tray bracket because they were getting rusty. Otherwise it's still a total champ. In 10 years maybe I'll replace the burners and repaint it lol.

    Got a free one (two burner) curbside this summer. Rehab’d it and now my son and his college roommates basically have a brand new Weber Grill. I’m going to look at a 3 burner tomorrow. Guy is asking $80 and says it still works great. It looks like it just needs some TLC. I love doing this stuff.

      Did a restore on my Q that we used for tailgating, paint bubbled up on the lid, inside and out. replaced all the guts, passed on to my daughter, still runs great. I just got a 310 that is a complete restore/gut. Anybody out there know where I can get the decals on the control panel or a replacement panel. thanks. BTW very satisfying when its done and you do the first cook on it....Thanks again, Richard

    So glad there is another nut out there rebuilding his Weber beside me!! I just gave mine a light cleaning to use it tonight. I have rebuilt mine 2 times in the 24yrs I have had it. I bought mine when I was dating my wife, and we just celebrated our 22nd wedding anniversary so its easy to remember (when I bought it LOL) They are great grills, and on the rare occasion I think of replacing it, I remember how much I love the way it cooks, and the junk out there for sale, and I keep it. Mine has the cast iron grills which I like better. Great job!!

    I have used a ton of different cleaners for those plastic work tables. What I've found that works best is dry paper towels squirted with plenty of undiluted Dawn dishwashing liquid (right out the bottle). Rub it in, wipe off with clean paper towels, repeat. Haven't tried Dawn's new "Ultra" formula but it might work even better.

      That will depend on what tools you have. I would weld new legs. If you don't have a welder , getting stock metal that will fit inside or outside of the square legs overlapping it 3-4 inches and putting 2 through bolts and finishing it with nuts on the other side is one way. Getting square wood to fit inside the leg and epoxy gluing it there is another way. I hope this gives you a idea . Thanks

    That very grill, is a 2005 Genesis Silver B. The 2005 is the only year with doors underneath. Instead of porcelain flavorizer bars, get the aftermarket stainless ones they used on the Gold series found on ebay. Check the measurements before ordering, and get the correct quantity of bars (some grills take 3, some 5). You'll pay a little more, but get twice the life. -Weber assembly tech.

    I love it when people put videos up to show us how to clean the Weber silver b and then not do it right. First of all, those bolts that you took off at the end of the burners are just for guides. You already took the knob panel off. There are two nuts and bolts that fasten the manifold to the grill. Take them off and slide the manifold back, and the burners will slide right out through the holes. Did you actually read the directions when putting the grill together?

    • @masterofnone
      @masterofnone  3 роки тому +2

      No, I got it done by figuring things out. I didn't have a manual to work off of. "Doing it right" is open to someone's opinion. So far nothing has happened because I took off the wrong bolt. This is how I got it done and I think comments on this video is a proof it helps some people. I am sorry this was not a video up to your satisfaction. I hope you will find the video out there of someone doing it right. Have a great day.

      @@masterofnone Hey man! Nice job. Read Woosa42's reply. At first I thought he was complimenting you. Re-read it. Eh! More ways than one to skin a cat .... especially when a person's got some skills ;) ... forget that noise. Fire it up and grill a steak! (P.S.; Started doing maintenance on my Silver this afternoon. Squashed by a rain storm. Waa-Waa!)

    I loved the rainbow!
    God’s promise to us that he will never flood the entire Earth again.
