- Are you thinking about buying a Weber Genesis II Grill and wondering about the assembly? Or maybe you just bought one and need to assemble it. I think you'll find this video super helpful. I documented every step of the assembly of my new Genesis II E435 grill starting at the unboxing all the way through lighting it.
The assembly process took 4 hours to complete by myself. If you have 2 people, you can probably complete the assembly in 2 hours.

Man, wish I had this guy for every DIY project I have around house. Like..... cars, mountain bikes, exercise equipment, washer&dryer, painting and all. Wonderful commentating, precise and simple instructions. And always sharing pointers and information well needed. Crafty I must say, and good work sir. Thank You from Cerritos CA.
I buy everything based on reviews. Some said this was hard to put together ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxCx5fHawkK9OoV-ojFrY8JLnZrFwAmvUt some guy said 2 hours and 2 beers later. I didn't drink beer like I was going to. I didn't feel like going to the store. I'm assuming I would have had at least 3. I took my time. Stepped outside for a cigarette break a couple times but all in all it was about a 3 hour project for me but it wasn't like it was difficult or anything . Only pictures but everything is pretty organized and labeled although I didn't see any #s on the actual pieces like it shows in the diagrams. Only the screws were labeled. On the cardboard part of the packaging on the back side. I put it together in my living room too. It wasn't supposed to rain today but it's Michigan and I couldn't wait so I put it together in my living room. Without beer but beer would definitely have made it more fun that's for sure. I'm giving this a 5 for easy assembly. I'll update after it stops raining when I can take it out of my living room and cook some food on it. Hope this helps at least for people who think they can't put this together because I did and you can too . And there are extra screws. I got nervous and immediately came here to see if others had the same experience and they have. You're not doing it wrong. There will be extra screws. Be patient. Don't rush it. Drink beer. Happy assembling
Having this same grill delivered today, this will be my Saturday morning project tomorrow. Very helpful, well done. Cheers.
Absolutely fantastic. Thanks for making this video Jason. Always helpful when you can watch a dry run to get acclimated before proceeding
Extremely clear and organized demonstration.
Great detailed video, I will be using this as a guide when i get my grill next week so I don't have to wait until Friday for the store to put it together. Thank you!
My E435 will arrive tomorrow and cannot wait to assemble it. Thank you so much for the great assembly video!
Thank you! I'm sure you will love the grill!
Thank you so much, your video helped me a lot in assembling my new grill.
Looking forward to buying an assembling ours. Thanks for the super helpful video.
Not the exact grill I bought secondhand, but invaluable video on general Genesis II installation. Really helped putting those pieces back we had to remove for transport. Thanks.
Great job on the assembly!
Just picked up the Weber S-435! This helped immensely ty
Thank you for making this video, couldn´t have done it without it !
Thank you for your time, as everything went exactly as expected. You explained everything perfectly.
Thank you so much. Great video. I could not assemble it without your video.
I watched your video and was able to correct/help the assembler. Very helpful. Thank you. Adn now I know how it works for cleaning too.
Awesome video. Super helpful. Appreciate your time making it.
Awesome video. I followed it step-by-step and it made the assembly of my grill easy. Thank you!
Thank you, I'm glad it helped!
Very thorough explanation to the assembly of the Weber grill
Thank you 😊
Absolutely brilliant. Many thanks for your clear and detailed instructions.
Thank you so much, this video was fabulous and helped my husband and I put together this grill in record time….so informative and easy to follow! Thank you thank you thank you!!!!
I'm very happy to hear that! Thanks!
Thank you very much for making this video - between your video, BILT App, and the Weber manual, it definitely made assembling a lot easier (and quicker!). A particular useful tip was the one around the door handle - putting the screw in the plastic caps first before fitting it into the door panel. Thanks!
I'm glad it helped!
Just got the Weber SE 335 natural gas grill delivered. This video will help immensely. Thanks.
I’m picking my SE 335 up tomorrow, pretty stoked! First house and I’ve waited my whole life for this moment lol
I just got a Genesis II 335 delivered, I am not good at assembling even a simple bed 😊 but just found your video and I feel like I can do it no problem, albeit stopping the video maybe 50 times 😂. Thank you much for this great tutorial. Truly appreciated!
You're welcome, good luck!
Your video is so helpful and appreciated. Getting ready to unbox and assemble mine in just a little bit.
Awesome, best of luck with your new grill!
Your video made all the difference in the world. I followed YOU step by step putting the grill together the last couple days. The direction book was confusing and you made it clear. Thank you so much for taking time to make the video!
I'm glad to hear it. Thanks for reaching out!
I like how you put so much detail into the assembly
Brilliant!!!!! Now I am going in with confidence!! Thanks so much
Thank you for putting this video together. I was planning on having Amazon assemble the grille until I saw your video. You saved me over $200.00. The only thing different from the video was the wire setup for the burners. I followed your video on my I-Pad and had no problems. Thank you!!
My pleasure!
I wish I had this video when I put mine together. Good job.
Thanks so much for a great video. If I had to just follow the directions provided by Weber, I would have returned the grill!
Awesome brother!!!! This video helped me get my new Genesis S-435!!! Made it easier for me to make zero mistakes, appreciate you man!! Thank you!!
That's what I like to hear! Thanks for the comment!
Great video!! Very helpful. I’m in the market for a new grill but in natural gas. Was looking at this grill and the next size down Weber. After seeing this video I’m more confident I can assemble it myself if I don’t get already built. Thanks 👍
Thanks and I'm glad it helped you!
Thank you for a very useable and detailed video. My BBQ assembly was a little different but your video made it much easier to complete. My S-345 cover was not assembled correctly by Weber, the sheet metal lining under the hood was not installed properly and hoping for a replacement. Your video made me feel less intimidated, thank you.
You're very welcome! Thanks for the comment and I hope you get your replacement.
Thank you for making this video!! It was a big help!
Great video, very informative and helpful. Thank you.
Great video on the assembly! Thanks for putting this video together. Picking up my SE-335 today.
Awesome and thanks for the feedback! Best of luck with your new grill!
How do you like the SE 335 ?
@@gusm2752 love it. Heats up super fast, 9mm SS grates are the nuts and I also added the igrill 3 which works great. Getting to know the temp range with this is a work in progress. Trying to maintain 250 degrees for indirect cooking by shutting off 1 or 2 burners. 3 burners on low won`t get below 300 degrees. It just takes some time to get used to the temp ranges.
@@Peter-976 thanks 👍
Helpful video! Thanks for posting this.
Trying to surprise my BF with my installation skills. If I update this message in 4 hours it means that this was an awesome tutorial.
Thank you for making this video, it helped me assemble my grill
I'm glad it helped!
12:10 The instructions say to route the igniter wires to the OUTSIDE of the corrugated gas pipe. Probably to keep them further away from the heat. I just put mine together last night. Great video! That wrench they supply belongs in the garbage!
Yes I was very confused about this part of the instructions.
Thanks for putting this together. My Genesis came without an axle and my ignitor doesn't work but at least your video confirmed I set it up correctly
I'm glad it helped! Thanks
I have to build grilles at work sometimes. I looked this video up at work today. 😂
Thank you so much!! We just got this grille and your video is absolutely perfect!!! Thank you!!
Thanks for your feedback and good luck with your new grill!
Thank you! These steps were great!
Nice job and thank you for doing this. Helped me tremendously. Much appreciated and great video!!
Awesome! Thanks!
Extremely helpful, thank you very much.
Thanks for such a great and instructional video. It did help me a lot, much better than the paper instructions. Good job!
Thank you for the kind words Efrain. I hope you enjoy your new grill!
Why don't more people make videos exactly like this for all sorts of stuff? Thank you - great instructions 👍
Thank you!
I owe you a beer! Great video, I was able to build this myself in under 2 hours with this video. Thank you!!
Ha ha, thanks! The perfect beverage for the perfect meat from this awesome grill!
Thanks for the detailed instruction, I just built one today in all stainless steel. but for some reason it did not have a cut out to run the pack of wires connected to the battery pack through that square cut out it wanted me to disconnect all the wires through the small gap and then reconnect them. also no need to takeoff the lid me and my wife just picked it up and put it on top it's an unnecessary step to take the lid off.
Thank you. Watched this and another video. Knew exactly what I was up against. Just put mine together and putting through its initial burn. Thanks again.
My pleasure
This was grate!
I'll see myself out but thanks for doing this! Great attention to detail.
Thank you
Hey mate, I was at your house last weekend and the chicken tasted kind of punny
thanks for not over chatting. Good video
Awesome video! I just bought an E435 today :)
Awesome thanks! Enjoy your new grill. You won't be disappointed!
Great video
Awesome. Will be getting my grill 335 special series in about week.
Good to know how to assemble
Thanks
Thank you for the video, made the installation go a lot quicker and easier. Would have taken forever if using just the instructions. 👏👏👏
I'm glad it helped!
This was SO helpful! Thank you.
You're welcome
Great video. Thanks for posting.
I work for Amazon and I just put one together and watch the video was a big a** HELP THANKS 🙏 bro
Great video very helpful thank you 👍🏼👍🏼
Great job on the assembly video!
Thanks!
Thank you so much , I follow the instructions and it was great. Thank you again.
You're welcome
Nice video, little different but a huge help. Thanks
Thank you very much! Very helpful video!
You are Amazing.... I bought 345 Gensis from Costco ( Display model for $389) haha. so cheap right and do not have to assemble it either..lol. however I wanna ensure everything is connected right and tight enough so I will follow your asembly instruction in reverse to take out main parts and the lid and tight everything after checking it.
Thank you so much. That was very helpful!
You're welcome! 😉
Great job! Thanks for the invaluable help…
Glad it was helpful!
@@JaredDesrosiers seriously it was a lifesaver. I would look back at the book to see what packet of hardware to open, and I think I would’ve probably screamed at least three or four times if I had to follow just the book! Thank you again!
Excellent!!! Thank you !
Awesome instructions
Thank you - great video
Thank you ! That really was useful ..
Jaredamy, question for you Sir on the ground wire once it's secured where does the other end of the ground wire get connected to ?
Thank you 😊
Great video - thanks! One suggestion, on step 8, just flip it over and pop the plugs in, then flip back over and push them in the rest of the way. No second person needed
Thanks for the tip!
Great video bud!
i'd give 2 like if i could this walked me thru the setup step by step well done. appreciate your time and effort on this. Great Vid
Awesome I'm glad it helped!
Thanks for the video
Excellent video! Thank you!
Thanks!
Thank you! It took about 3 hours but it was more fun than frustrating. Being limited to the instruction manual would have been frustrating!
I build them for only 12 to 18 mins including the Unboxing and Clean up especially for that specific Grill Weber E Series. I build BBQ grills for Lowe's and sometimes For the Home Depot.
@@builder_for_life4490 What is the wire hanging from the chain under the side burner? Mine just dropped down. I didn't know it was there.
@@alanreynoldson3913 oh that's called the Matchstick Holder it's only a some stuff that holds match stick to light up the burner manually.
@@alanreynoldson3913 well next time IF you're gonna assemble your own grill you should use 2 types of Philips Driving Bit The Philips#2 and #3 and only use 12V impact driver any 12V impact driver that doesn't have that much torque that can destroy your bit or the screw heads don't use 20V because it's too much powerful and can strip the screws.
@@builder_for_life4490 Thanks!
Thank you so much!!
Excellent! Thank you
Great video man!👍
Thank you!
I put my grill together using your video, I couldn't believe how easy you made it for me. Thank you. Quick question my grill didn't come with the cover for the ignition box or the wire cover?
I'm glad it was helpful. If you're missing those parts, I would contact Weber. Fortunately, your grill will still be usable without those covers.
Very helpful!
Your explanation and attention to detail was very well presented. Wondering why you decided on the Black and not the Stainless. How do you like the cast iron grill? I'm still deciding if I will get the one you put together or the Stainless. I like the look of the Black, but the Stainless has Stainless steel grates for grilling. Thanks for the video. Looking forward to your response.
Thanks for the kind words Todd! I prefer cast iron grates over stainless because I like the darker grill marks they provide. In addition, they're awesome once fully seasoned! Also, I read reviews of owners that said their black grills still look new after many years. The stainless owners referred to minor discoloration on the outer finish. But in the end it's all about preference.!
Your video was EXCELLENT! I plan to get the S-435 but I imagine it's all the same. I saw another video where the installer saved the box, flipped it over and built the grill on top of it like a bench -- I think it was to avoid back strain, however, I would think it would get unwieldy after a bit. Either way, your video detail and extra tips were great. How long did it take you from start to finish? Thank you so much. Double likes!!
Thanks for your comment Frank! I really appreciate the feedback. Both versions are just as nice and high quality, but I prefer cooking on cast iron and like the black finish.
The whole process took me about 4 hours. But that was with filming and doing it all by myself. I think you could cut that time in half with another person.
@@JaredDesrosiers 4hours? 15 mins for me that's from the time my blade hits the cardboard to the time I wheel it to the staging area in garden of hone depot... I guess if you build bbqs everyday, you get quick.
Good vid, thank you.
Bad ass!! Thank you 💯
You're welcome!
great video! super helpful
Thanks!
Awesome video. Thank you. Most guys yammer on but you provide useful info
Thank you!
Awesome video!!
Thank you
Hello, great video sir. the electric cable should go the other way compared to the gas line - this is how it is instructed by the manufacturer and it makes sense also given some of the subsequent steps... just a thought.
Thank you Henri!
Great video, just curious if you can order the 9mm stainless grills instead of the cast iron? Thanks again for the thorough steps.
Thank you. I don't think there's a choice to buy the E435 with stainless grates. However, you can buy them separately from Weber.
Very helpful.
MUCHAS GRACIAS FUE DE MUCHA AYUDA MIRAR TU VIDEO GRACIASS !!!!!!!!!
Excellent video
Thank you
Very Nice Video. Well Done!
Thank you
Thank you!!!!! Very useful!
Thank you!
great vid! 2 things... what was the elapsed time of assembly, you know, not including moving the camera for every setup? AND you may want to flip those grill grates over to the flat side, MUCH easier to brush and spatula.
nvm seems as if others noticed too re:
upside down grates
I would estimate about 2 hours of assembly without all of my camera setups. Also, yes, I did end up reversing the grates!
Perfect 👌
