I'm a forklift mechanic , I'm team red all of the way...however...some of my coworkers use Rigid. TBH , and this is only my opinion...I think Rigid is a really good bang for the buck....it would be really nice to see them expand their line. Great video as always.

On the impact wrench test why test a 2 amp vs 4 amp? Wouldn't it make more sense to test their previous max output 4ah with the new 4ah exp

I’m guessing it was more of a similar size comparison for mechanics. I’m guessing not a lot of techs would use the 4.0 to begin with due to size

Would've loved to see the impact test using the 4aH and 8aH EXP as well as the Octane lineup if you still have those.

I've managed to get a good deal a couple times on this hammer drill/impact driver kit and for anyone wondering they're almost completely indistinguishable from my Milwaukee fuel tools in performance and feel, and they're made by the same company. They're really impressive tools.

Finally a video on the 4Ah exp! You know, the Ridgid mid torque paired with the 4Ah exp busts loose more nuts and bolts then when paired with my 8Ah exp battery.

Hey TJ great video as always! Your voice is a little hoarse, I hope you’re feeling ok! I do wish you had used the 4ah max output versus the 4ah tabless on the impact wrench.
That said one of my favorite and most frequently used tools is my Ryobi pistol grip HP blower. I also know that high power blowers consume watts faster than just about any other tool. I picked up a Ryobi edge battery and I can confirm it performs as well as the twice the size and twice the weight 8AH HP battery fresh off the charger. Halfway through the pack, the 4ah edge is driving the blower noticeably faster than the 8AH HP battery. So I’m definitely onboard with the tabless packs! I just wish some brands priced them more accordingly, looking at you Milwaukee!
Looking forward to getting my hands on a Ryobi 40v edge!

How about the 4 vs 4! I think it would be fair compare as was done with 4 vs 2 wrench test

Great video! Would you please consider doing a video on the new Kobalt sub compact impact wrench they just came out with. They come in 1/2, 3/8, and even 1/4! They look very small and compact probably comparable to the little Rigid. Love your videos and watch them all the time.

Got mine back end summer it's a very strong battery and more power then the 8 Amp EXP BATTERY hopefully they come out with a 6 AMP EXP TABLESS CELLS next summer about the size of a 4 amp MAXX outpute

Fun fact the output of this falls between the 8 and 12ah, so while not the pinnacle of ridgids 18v platform, its a 1p battery so its light and id see more professionals buying these for the weight savings than id ever expect for the power output. I see it being an absolute win on things like the sub compact and right angle impact drivers.

Finally something I can show my son, who's a Milwaukee fan, and hates on my Ridgid tools. Milwaukee is what a the cool kids buy, even tho its nearly double the price of Ridgid and barely as good lol

At the beginning of the video there is a lot of talk about run time between the various batteries, so why no run time testing?

I find it interesting that Ryobi got tabless cells before Ridgid.

I'm amazed Ridgid got tabless batteries at all this year. Ridgid has been the neglected brand in the TTI line-up for years and was neutered for a time when they canceled the Octane line. Things are turning around *a little* for Ridgid but I've moved on to Milwaukee and even a little Ryobi for the odd tool because that's clearly where TTI is still focused

      @chibbyylol 3 дні тому

@@kylefowler5082 Maybe it's a sales thing. Ryobi got it since they're very budget friendly so lots of sales, milwaukee got it since they're very professional targeted so lots of sales
The in-between 'pro-sumer' tier Ridgid is maybe the lowest out of the two in that regard

So for some reason you decided to compare the new 4 amp hour to a regular 2 amp hour battery on the impact wrench. Nothing fishy about that at all.
