When I used to work for the Government in the civil service, cake for birthdays 🎂 was standard practice. This was under John Major. Unfortunately, in a office of 30 or so people, that ends up with cake 3 times a month or so & my boss who’d been in for over 20 years was the kind of woman who if she sits on the beach the tide can’t come in, bless her.
