Is it cruel for a government to retaliate to a savage attack on its citizens and to attempt to free hostages taken by a terrorist army and heinously treated - some murdered ? I have asked the question repeatedly and Douglas Murray has asked it here: as Hamas uses its own citizens as human shields and uses civilian buildings for its operations and concealment and poses as ordinary citizens, how do you propose that the IDF free the hostages and eliminate Hamas while simultaneously avoiding civilian casualties which you call "right wing cruelty"? Please enlighten us and explain your solution to the difficulty of avoiding civilian casualties.

The South African government can not even keep a candle burning, but has the audacity to accuse Israel of human-rights violations. It is time the ANC government do a bit of housekeeping first before wanting to criticise someone else's dirty kitchen. Farm murders on the rise that no one is reporting on, while politicians are chanting kill the boer kill the farmer. Children being sold to witchdoctors for drug money. Parts of Johannesburg, Randburg to be specific, a business hub without power for 8 days and then a week and a half later without water for 11 days. Unfortunately SA has become the laughingstock of the world!

Lol the jewish community was an integral part of the settler colonial community since the days of the Cape colony as well as central to the Apartheid oligarchy.
Prominently Jewish neighbourhoods whether Seapoint in Cape Town or Joburg Northern suburbs represent the socio-economic architecture of the settler baron class.
People like Helen Suzman (who was atheist & was educated in a convent) were the exception, not the rule, in ending Apartheid.

I am appalled by the lies being told to make Gazans look like helpless victims and the lies being told to make Israelis look like oppressors. Israelis have turned an impoverished desert controlled for centuries by tyrants into a thriving, life enhancing, prosperous, democratic garden. Meanwhile, its Islamic neighbors have largely remained impoverished deserts even when their tyrants are incredibly wealthy due to western oil development, western engineering, and western businessmen.

I an not Jewish, and I recently heard a story about a Jew who asked a non Jew as to why The Jews have been targeted down the centuries, and what they ought to do to stop it. The non Jew replied, almost tongue in cheek that "The Jews should stop being so successful." There is not a field of human endeavour where The Jews have not been successful. The Jewish People have contributed to and have been giants in every field of human endeavor. The Jews will survive this latest onslaught and will emerge stronger for it. There is terrible jealousy towards The Jews from The ANC. After all The ANC was handed a rich and strong country on a silver platter and have destroyed everthing they have touched, whereas The Israelis have created a world class country and economy from the ground up.

I first discovered Douglas Murray thanks to Melanie Phillips’ frequent mention of him that only grew and grew and each time I saw or read his work like always I realized Melanie was again spot on and my other favorite Israeli writer Caroline Glick also was visually excited to host Douglas on her podcasts and she too were so spot on. I’m not surprised Murray has become one of our biggest champions. I’m so thankful to him for so much. I’m not even sure he’d ever really understand what he means to us and how important he is to our community in this dark time.
