Coming along nicely now. When adjusting brake lever you must have a small gap between lever and M/C plunger. If M/C is not allowed to fully return the brakes can pump up with heat and cause them to stick on while riding. Thanks for the upload mate!
She turned out beautiful.. just readying mine for mot. Going to ride it for a while.. before I pull it to bits.. want to see how she runs and rides first.. incase engine goes atomic. She will be like yours soon.. I'm well impressed.. cheers
nice man! yesterday my 2002 comes in the house and i´m ready for the rebuilt! the videos are veary helpful for me thanks mate ! kind regards from austria
can just put a bit of packing (same width of brake disk) in between new pads, to bleed em. that way you can rotate calliper, so bleed valve is at top. the old style callipers aint to bad, but the newer style back brake, can be a bugger to bleed on bike.
the power valve housing is universal, in exhaust. (but is better if hole faces up, for checking if working). a handy hint, is to make sure you put downward pressure on housing as you do up the 2 bolts. and itl run smoother, and last longer between needing cleaning :)
Great videos. Going to help me loads... I did loose skin on the exhaust spring clips.. tried screwdriver and pliers.. no joy.. ended up using a loop of nylon string.. with a spanner to pull it.. worked rather well.. thank you for the vids mate
@@scainslie yes definitely trying to mate. Im going to do another but it will be a race replica daytime MOT radial brakes, more power lots of bling (tasteful) but might do a 250 :)
Awesome videos. I have been riding my rs125 for the past 5 years but never have the courage to try do anything on my own. It would be great if you could show detailed videos of how to remove the tank, pull out the carb and those maintenance type of videos so that noobs like me could follow easily.
great video! could you mention the name and the web from where you bought the item in min 13:45 ? mine is destroyed and I can not find a cheap replacement. thanks
Fantastic series of videos. I’ve just finished a complete rebuild on Tetsuya rep RS125. In no way a criticism but if you want to speed up bleeding the rear calliper, it’s a lot quicker if you don’t fix it to the bracket and hold it upside down, that way the air rises to the top, I had to do the same with my 748. Really enjoyed the vids though, great delivery and really slick production.
Hi Mark thanks for the tip, it was a long process getting that caliper bled - I will try that in the future :) thanks for watching and supporting the channel.
Another very helpful video thanks a lot! I’m currently on the forks changing the seals and oil and also fresh paint on the bottom like you also did. These videos are a god send for me do you have any footage of you doing the labour on some of the parts like polishing the frame and fitting your new sprockets etc? I’d love it if you had a playlist of the longer stuff that you think people might not want to see because I can see a lot of nice work you’ve done that hasn’t been mentioned, thanks again keep it up!! I don’t want this project to end😆
Lets Review It please do! your videos are massively helpful, plus their isn’t a huge amount of detailed content on these bikes so seeing you pop up with these videos is a delight👍🏼

Great stuff! Just picked up 2009 RS125 myself. Interested in how you adjusted the chain slack after fitting a new chain roller. When I got my bike the chain was too tight so I loosened it. That just ate the rubber on the chain roller. Any tips on chain adjustment with the roller?
When you first fit a new roller the chain does eat into it a little but if it rolls freely it shouldn’t be too bad. I’ve just fitted a new roller which you’ll see in the next vid 😬
Nick D in episode 3 (I think) you’ll see that the fuel line had split annoyingly. It’s going to be factory but I’m still debating the wheel colour... 🤔
Note, as the bleed nipple is not the high point of the rear caliper, it is pretty much impossible for it to get all the air out with the caliper in place
Hello, one question if it’s okey. On what website did you buy the dust cover fire the hand brake??? I’m looking for a whole renovation kit for the master cylinder but I can’t find it on the web so any help will do
@@letsreviewit8925 I do really enjoy your videos especially as its aprilia stuff and you are really good at editing its just the odd funny thing you do that you really shouldn't and grease anywhere near brakes is the number one no no. said it yourself it was too much and it went everywhere 😅
please could you tell me what size tyres your rs runs, mine has 150 rear and 110 front, but unless my eyes deceive me urs is a 160 rear and 120 front?? Many thanks in advance!
Lets Review It ok. So what did you find way to expensive for the bike. I mean it a a steel pin and a spring. A Sierra cosworth kit costs about 10euro. That is 24 in the difference
I only come across this build the other day. Cant wait to watch the whole series. Ive just bought a 99 chesterfield rs125 in black to relive my youth.
Credit too yourself mate...... glad too see video's like this, good to see these old bikes back on the road.
