Oreos are also vegan 🌿 look ma, I'm healthy!
As are french fries, onion rings, spring rolls lol
As a non American I can't fathom how anyone like Oreos.

Just to point out that veganism isn't a diet but rather an ethical stance, one can be healthy or not as a vegan. Now a whole foods plant based diet IS a diet and is considered healthy.
Thank you bro was pained to have to explain it again but u got us covered💪
It's a diet
@@jesmondo5785 No it is an ethical stance that will ultimately lead to a certain diet
@@ShOcKTeh it's a diet. It's listed as a dietary requirement.
@@jesmondo5785 I looked it up and it is both. Vegan may refer to a diet or a philosophy
As a vegan of 12 yrs, I can say this is a great point. It was much easier to be a healthy vegan 12 yrs ago. These days??? Shiiiiiiiiiiddddd...
nice 12 years. vegan btw

As a vegan! I tell people this everyday
I'm vegan and I have enough options to bulk and cut and I could eat TERRIBLY if I wanted to
Ok, 18 vegan cookies everyday. Got it
Thanks Dr. Mike!
I realized this when I went vegan in 2015 and noticed how overweight some vegans were. Calories in vs calories out
I use to know a lot of fat girls that were always so proud of being vegan/vegetarian. But I couldn’t understand why they were so overweight.
Then I thought to myself doughnuts and all other sorts of sugary crap foods aren’t meat… so that explains that 😅
Yup you can make any diet unhealthy thats for sure, vegan fast food and treats are just as unhealthy as any other 😂 Oreos and Biscoff are both vegan and at nearly 800 kcals a pack that shit stacks up quick 🤣
Whole foods is where it's add. Focus on adding more of those.
Honestly some of the nicest homebaked sweets I've tried have been vegan. Lots of very sweet toothed people in the vegan space.
Veganism is a boycott, not a diet
Free the animals ✊🏼
Let the cows out on the highways yeaaahh 🤘 free the cows, free meat.
But obviously eating lots of sugary and processed foods like brownies are never healthy, vegan or not 😅 if you’re going for a whole foods, plant-based diet you’ll still be a lot healthier and vegan.
I’m vegan, and I simultaneously love and hate how many f*
I thought you still live in Philly, did you move to NYC?

As a junk-food vegan I can attest to this. If you care about your health more whole-food plant-based is what you gotta do.
You mean to say 'eating vegan isn't necessarily healthier'. It could be healthier or less healthy depending on what you eat. No shit
You'd be surprised at how many people believe it's automatically healthy.
I'm a vegan. When other people find out, they say to me, "Oh, I need to go vegan too, because I need to get healthy."
When a plastic box of rabbit food costs more than a slab of meat in America you know your countries failed
Insert obligatory Lizzo comment
I constantly craved sweets and fats as a vegan. Now I feel much better and am leaner not trying as hard. We're all made differently and the diet was not for me
why vegan food gotta be so expensive?! :<
Also, have they made vegan cheese that tastes like pizza dairy cheese when melted?
Plants, fruits, nuts, seeds, fish. Probably the healthiest diet.
carnivores are healthier, cant fake meat.... even tho vegans try 😂
Modern veganism is drenched in hydrogenated oils...im talking super greasy...b a clean vegan or just eat clean...
I will say and science will say that overall your internal health will be much better even on a junk food vegan diet vs any animal based diet. The worst thing in vegan processed foods today is the oil followed by preservatives.
Lol stop lying
@@jmonseur5322 no need to. Research has also shown that a couch potato vegan has better artery health than a meat eating professional marathon runner.

But please! Obviously a cookie isn’t healthy just because it’s vegan!
A 5 year old should be able to figure that out.
Why is it so difficult for people to have an intelligent conversation about weather veganism is healthy/beneficial long term?
Most vegans don’t care if it’s healthy cause they think the ethical part trumps anything else.
But a lot of people, including myself, are actually wondering to what cost health wise are you excluding all animal products?
Most people seem to manage some years just fine. But long term, like 10 years +, it’s more unclear.
I would really appreciate serious input in this topic. From people with experience, or real scientific knowledge.
Claiming a cookie isn’t healthy just because it’s vegan, is literally saying nothing at all.
If you don’t understand this instinctively, you probably have other issues way more important, than weather to eat vegan or not.
Quorne Vegan Chicken Nuggets ❤
First? Lol Yes, certainly not healthier.
Also a guarantee of having to keep track of a ton of nutrient deficiencies, and lose out on important meat-only nutrients like creatine, carnosine, taurine and anerine :(
Bruh 'a ton' is a little bit of an exaggeration- if you have stuff like fortified oat milk as a random example most of your supplements are dealt with no extra effort as they contain all necessary b vitamins and calcium that can lack as a vegan. Remember its more about compassion for animals suffering than an act of self interest tho (most cases)
@@joshuakenny503been vegetarian for over a decade and still think you're way off base
@@drinkinouttacups2665 on what? Don't claim to be an expert at all but I'm doing fine so far. would be happy to change view if you have any advice of course👍
I'm a vegan of 12 yrs. This is a gross exaggeration. Vegans don't have any more deficiency concerns than omnivores do. Everybody has to be mindful of potential deficiencies corresponding to their specific diet.
Also, I've never had to concern myself with creatine, carnosine, taurine & anerine.
thats why you need to say "i am going plant based" instead to make a point
Lot of coping by some of the vegans in these comments. Never seen a vegan of five years or longer that doesn't look significantly older than they are. I get it though I was one upon a time and have been vegetarian for over a decade
Blasphemous
Im good, i pretty much eat meat, eggs and dairy. Vegan diets are too difficult, lectins, oxalates, incomplete proteins, vitamin b12, creatine. Theres either a bunch of things missing or it will cause inflammation eventually
lol lectins and oxalates break down when cooking, plenty of complete plant proteins and sources of b12. And meat is far more inflammatory
So much misinformation...
- Lectins are a minor concern outweighed by the health benefits of foods that contain them. Look up studies.
- Oxalates are not a concern either. Cook your beans, which you should be doing anyway, and you'll be fine. Look up studies.
- Every plant has all 9 amino acids, and your body can store amino acids over time.
- Creatine?? Every bodybuilder supplements creatine anyway, not that it's essential, but it does help, and there's no way you get optimal amounts from diet alone.
- B12 is easily supplemented, super cheap.
- Inflammation?? Vegan diets are shown to lower inflammation, not increase it.
same. I feel way better on meat and eggs.
A whole food plant based diet is the least inflammatory diet there is. Most b12 supplements are fed to farm animals, a variety of plant amino acids are equal to animal amino acids and creatine isn't a essential nutrient. The healthiest communities on earth eat no to minimal amounts of animal products.
@a b this is unlikely considering there are several types that I already mentioned such as lectins and oxalates that cause inflammation over time. Next to plants generally being less bio available than animal based nutrients.
You're clearly ignoring a lot of RCTs because it suits you
Wow, more mainstream, milquetoast, retreat-to-the-middle "insight" about diet. I had no idea there was processed junk formulated to exclude flesh foods. Good looking out. /s
