A secure (locked) shelf for venomous animals that can potentially harm your pet cat or dog (or your kids) is a brilliant idea. This is one of the reasons I quit posting on certain forum - when I mentioned that I won't be getting old world tarantulas unless i can lock them on a shelf so that my cat won't be able to mess with the enclosures they basically mocked me for it. The other reason was that apparently everything I did was wrong but the advice given was potentially even more harmful.
I have a spare room that I house my dangerous critters in that I keep locked with a warning sign on it. For some reason the maintenance guys at my Apts don't like coming over. Lol

Also make sure their doctors are included. Don't want to wind up like one keeper who got tagged by her gabboon viper and told doc that is what bit her and they gave her Crofab. Killed her is what happened.

Venom not poison. Poison can be implemented in more ways unlike venom. Venom can only be sprayed or injected. There is a genus of snake that is both venomous and poisonous. Poisonous due to build up of toxins from their prey which release from neucal glands in neck
Like how you don't just do one thing in a videos and end it no matter the length, you do many things in a videos even if they aren't really coherent. I think it is one of the things that makes your videos so likeable, you seem more personable. Love the videos keep it up!👍👍

You wont have any problems with Scorpions climbing up the Enclosure, so chances are really low that something happens.... 6:30 Scorpion: Chances are what?
I know you're way more experienced but I would be more cautious with the tissue paper, whoever packs these could make a mistake and addi an extra scorpion in one tube by mistake. Imagine if there was one hiding in those tissues or escaped in the room.
Love your Deathstalkers a great addition for your collection. Just yesterday i got my first Poecilotheria striata for my T collection, she Is a very nice 4 inch specimen, not aggressive, but very defensive and lightning quick.

Wow their communal?!? I learned something new today! I owned 3 of em, one female n 2 males. (All Adults) I kept em apart in their own enclosures. But when it was time to introduce one of the males to the female for hubba hubba time. She ate the 1st male. So I decided against trying with the 2nd one. Waited two days thinking that she was still full. So I tried the second male, with no such luck. Checked the enclosure the next day, and he was dead.... But!!! He didn't get eaten! She lived for almost 2 years after that. Awesome pet to tell ur friends about. She stung everything, and everyone that went near her. She didn't mess around. Ur 11 death stalker enclosure is SO FREAKN AWESOME!!!! Looking forward to the update in a couple months!

So LQs are truly communal at all stages or is this just an experiment? I have 7 of them, with 5 being in the 2/3i and two in 4/5i, would it be recommended to create a communal with them?

Get yourself a small UV light if you have trouble finding the scorpions.

Be careful keeping them communal if they aren’t adults. They will often eat eachother if one is vulnerable moulting.
Your very rite. Bad idea. Keep them well fed and hot or lose them to molting or cannibalism
Also LD 50 is highest of other Buthidae species. But they inject tiny amount. Parabuthus or andros are the ones to worry about.

Dunno why, but scorpions have never bothered me like most spiders (aside from jumpers) do. Even had a striped bark scorpion for a little bit.

I love your videos! Only thing I have to say is try using paint brushes is instead of using tongs! I found it much easier to safely move them around!
When I had Madagascar hissing roaches I used petroleum jelly near the top of their enclosure to prevent escapes but you probably already know that.
