I got another Death Stalker (Leiurus quinquestriatus). This time a slightly smaller one compared to the one I had before. Oh yeah, ‘ve been getting lots of comments asking how is he.. Well, I sent him off for breeding, but unfortunately, according to the female’s owner, he didn’t make it - His female cannibalized him. Not sure how true that is, but I guess I’ll take his word for it. Ever since that, I’ve not owned a LQ for almost a year. Been searching around, but nobody was letting any go… until today. Headed over to a pet store to look at some snakes, and came across a few PTs being sold there! No hesitation.. GRABBED ONE! HEK YA!

If you have your bearded dragon outside, put a tree or a bush with a trunk in there that he can climb up and chill in. In Australia they sit in the trees and keep a look out.

I know scorpions are in the arachnid family - and I'm very much arachnophobic - but for whatever reason they don't scare me and spiders do. That said, the beginning of the video very nearly gave me a heart attack and I'm afraid to even keep watching past the 18 second mark now. So thanks for that.

sand and rock enclosures can cause impaction. i don’t think a bearded dragon deserves that.

I miss the old days where he feeds the tarantulas and the tarantulas would chase his tongs and scare the hell out of him. It was very enjoyable...but now the custom-made enclosures took over.

Random question: So when you loan a tarantula or scorpion to someone to breed, and it gets eaten, do you get any kind of compensation for that or is this a risk you take knowing it's a possibility?
Nope as its part of the nature aswell as when they do bread succesfully. Its a risk that u decide to take
