Nice video, some other things i wanted to add Midas gives decent gpm but the xp it gives it the more important part, which is why its traditionally an invoker item, he just wants a ton of levels to lower his invoke cd and have stronger spells. TB sometimes buys midas because even though hes one of the highest GPM heroes in the game, his XPM is pretty mediocre because a lot of his farm comes from illusions that he wont get any xp from. Buying midas on tb lets you keep up in levels even with other flash farmers Some supports like phoenix or silencer like to sometimes rush a super expensive item with shitty buildup like hex or refresher, it you’re going for an item like that then by the time you can afford it as a supp then a midas would have pretty much paid for itself, so might as well buy midas for some extra levels and scaling Also i disagree that the attack speed is negligible, 35 attack speed for 2200g isnt anything crazy but its definitely not nothing either, and a lot of heroes with on hit effects that want more attacks are more likely to buy it (void bash, bara bash, slark passive, etc)

For video recmmendations, I would suggest you focus on player-hero analysis in pubs since that's what I noticed you're really good at. I would say your old "Things I learned" series was the best content you have and would love to see more. Maybe look at non-pro players who top the charts at dotabuff or watch streamers and analyze them (I would look at this as a win-win situation since they would be getting publicity as well). I would love to see some math calculations on why Midas is so good right know. Like gpm wise increase and some comparisson in difference in exp(levels) if u carry Midas for 10/20/30/40 minutes vs not buying it
Depends what you use it on, you lose GPM if you go for optimal exp and vice versa If you use it on most of the small camps you can expect an increase in GPM of about ~95 It's also hard to tell with the impact on exp since there are so many factors that come into play regarding you gaining it
@@LoLaSn we use math and statistics for that. Considering we use on hard camps creeps everytime (s tier) we can estimate the exp/gold gain X time. Lets say an average game a pos 4 without midas have 300/300 exp/gpm u just add The midas use on that. Its really simple maths most people can do but im saying its content nobody is doing rn and would explain Better why midas is strong (Bowie asked for content suggestion) Its different if u have actual numbers to prove a point. It doesnt have to cover ALL factors dota have. It just need to be clean calculations. Lets compare: First video: Midas is good because its strong since you can save charges... better use of it, qol changes etc etc Second video: midas is good because can increase your gpm in most cases about % or X number and also gives on average 5 levels every 10 minutes which is X exp runes etc etc If midas get nerfed in exp/gpm it could kill The item so thats why numbers is important

I think your view on Midas is a bit wrong. Midas is mostly about snowballing, as in getting ahead and staying there, or relying on your team to own because you're 0/8 from lane and you bought a Midas to recover. Midas is usually bought for pure jungling, because as a full-time jungler, you're getting less gold and xp than you would from a creep wave (it's like 2-3 camps, or 1 ancient:1 creepwave). The attack speed is also never negligible. Keep in mind, this is a 2.2k gold item you're buying -- you should never buy an item like Midas, if it's not going to help you scale. The other question is space. This goes back to the jungling thing I mentioned. You can't farm creeps if the camps are all dangerous. Granted, this isn't as much of an issue with the new side camps, but Midas has the ability to generate more gold from an equal amount of creeps, sidestepping the space issue. This is why you buy Midas on support Doom for instance, or just Doom in general. No matter how long the game goes, Doom will have Devour + Midas, meaning he'll be able to buy items so he'll always stay relevant, because he doesn't need space. As an offlane player, I'd say Midas is generally just a greedy first item on right-click heroes or Brew/Doom, if your draft allows it. As a rule of thumb, if you *can* be greedy, then you *should* be greedy. Carries can get away with an early Midas, because they're expected to farm, and the Gloves of Haste is a nice build-up (think: strength heroes with no attack speed amp and that buy phase boots, i.e. Wraith King; or just a carry that always buys Treads and can divert it towards Midas, i.e. Terrorblade). Supports, especially 4's, usually buy it after they've successfully roamed (snowballing) and they don't need to buy an item like Blink, Shard, or Aether Lens + Blink (ex.: Clockwerk/Potm), and actually just become a core when it happens. The nature of 4's being supports that *NEED* an extra item is usually what prevents these heroes from buying Midas. Shard on Grimstroke for instance, fundamentally changes his role by turning Ink Swell into a save. On cores, the timings are usually Midas + an item then fight on all heroes except Brew possibly.
I don't know if it's griefing, but I got 60%+ winrate on Midas dazzle first item, then i go into octarine core, with Octarine core, you can give infinite graves after level 12, 14 if you did not spec into grave that much, absolutely busted, especially on lower ranks where no one focuses supports. But if someone does decide to focus you, you just spam infinite glimmer on yourself or ghost, simple as
The math is not considering that if you were to kill the creep you used your midas on, your profit is only the difference between the 190g and the natural earning from that creep.. The time you take.to.kill said creep also counts although it's hard to especulate about. Having said that, ignoring the extra exp, talking about gold only, the midas should take about 30 min to actually pay itself. Also you should consider the hero resources you don't have in your disposal to farm, because you have a midas instead of eus for example, which help your farm through mama regen and move speed. I don't advocate for modas in general..
I think some carry shouldn't buy midas because another items have higher potential to farm. I tried for 20 minutes in custom lobby and that why you never see pa buy this. (ex. sven, pa, am, etc)
at my last game, I early picked slardar for offlane then somehow morph ended up at the same lane with me. so I rushed to buy midas before PT, because I thought it's the only answer when there's too many cores on a game..
Wrong. There are 2 questions. Do I need attack speed? Do I need experience? And they are not just yes no, there is a scale, and when there is a great need for either (or even better, both), then buy it.

The midas creep tier list is a little bit off. Centaur and troll should be the only 2 in S tier or S+ tier if you want to keep the original tier list since they give more xp out of all other big creep.
The blink dagger video idea in your community post is something that I’ve wondered every single time I bought blink dagger, I think if you could pull that off it would be amazing. I think the best blink hero is bound to be like Rubick or cm or pugna (works well with decrepify)
Recently i play omni offlane with midas. Item sequence bracer,magic stick,phase boot,soulring,midas,shard,harpoon,sange yasha,heart. Very efficient. I learnt this build from enemy offlane in 1 of my games, try it & it's lot better than my previous item build. My previous item build was bracer,phase boot,echo sabre,shard,harpoon etc next. I farm very slow & very poor if don't kill. Midas also secure neutral token so there's no more bad luck regarding no neutral token even after farmed 5 neutral camp.

The meta is actually stupid, buy core item then buy midas to play lategame because you are absurdly strong with whatever item you have (blademail/greaves,vanguard etc).
It seems this item is either really underpowered or overpowered i still hope they keep the charges function however it really dealt with the annoying ass rush to midas something quick when it comes off cooldown like maybe nerf it so it had to be in one of your main 6 slots for it to come off cooldown and possibly make it so it's cool down cant be reduced further with items like octororine and through abilities.
I think you really shine when you make guides on heroes/builds that are strong on the current meta. When you run out of those, you can always make videos on how to counter those same heroes. I would love some tips on how to counter Bristleback for example. Keep it up, man!

Dont forget the biggest chabge in midas is having two charges. So you're getting benefit even in death as the cooldown on midas is still ticking. But it really depends on the pace of the game for me if both side dont want to attack and passive as shit ill get it.
when should a hero like TB get midas? I feel like if early game goes great, there's no need to go midas, instead going manta bkb skaddi would just secure you the game. If early game is crap, getting a midas might just throw the game. Pls teach me!
Midas isn't just for recovering, it's for getting further ahead, if your team is ahead early and you can safely buy Midas without worry of being snowballed, you reduce the time it takes to get to your next big items (e.g. Manta, BKB, Skadi) and end the game.

power threads give you atk speed + armor (agi) / hp (str), so it help you to progress your timmings, also you can switch to int to spam skills and be more effective in your farming. Quick answer, yes, you need it and you can see it by yourself playing with brown boots and check you bf timming, usually the money you save makes you have the same or slower timing
Yea my reason for not going boots before fury is coz im just juggling between 3 camps anyway without a farming item so i dont need to be places haha. I usually get kicked out of lane unless im using ck, as supports rarely pick lane dominant heroes in 2k but i dont blame them so i just go to the jungle as it's easy to recover anyway. But thanks for the tips lads, I'll try and see the difference in my games.
Yesterday I fought against a Dire pos4 Hoodwink Midas, pos2 Void Spirit Midas, pos3 Ogre Midas, pos5 Dazzle Midas, and pos1 PA Battlefury. It was my 2023 easiest game, Radiant mega creeps in 20 minutes. I think I'll lay off from Midas.
I like this video because it makes my enemys buy hand of midas and get dumpstered because they dont really understand the item even after watching a video like this.
For me, Midas is definitions of being greedy I would never buy it as core, it really have no impact beside adding the attack speed, I feel there is a lot better item that you can buy to instantly make impact. If you buy it mid-game you gonna delay your timing against another enemy carry that didn't build Midas. You gonna be weaker than enemy carry or mid While for support player, totally unacceptable. It is so against the nature of support (being selfless) The only exceptional case is orge magi. He can have impact with Midas and maximise the benefit of Midas (for turning into Buffy core with items, clear creep wave and against controlled neutral or cart) The only item designed in Dota 2 for orge magi

Yesterday I fought against a Dire pos4 Hoodwink Midas, pos2 Void Spirit Midas, pos3 Ogre Midas, pos5 Dazzle Midas, and pos1 PA Battlefury. It was my 2023 easiest game, Radiant mega creeps in 20 minutes. I think I'll lay off from Midas.

I like this video because it makes my enemys buy hand of midas and get dumpstered because they dont really understand the item even after watching a video like this.

For me, Midas is definitions of being greedy
I would never buy it as core, it really have no impact beside adding the attack speed, I feel there is a lot better item that you can buy to instantly make impact. If you buy it mid-game you gonna delay your timing against another enemy carry that didn't build Midas. You gonna be weaker than enemy carry or mid
While for support player, totally unacceptable. It is so against the nature of support (being selfless)
The only exceptional case is orge magi. He can have impact with Midas and maximise the benefit of Midas (for turning into Buffy core with items, clear creep wave and against controlled neutral or cart)
