I've bought the new gdx 210c freak and I love it. It's so usefull on site as we do a variety of Jobs and need to drive screws and remove bolts everyday and no need to be carrying 2 tools when I have the bosch freak. I love it and as I stated in a previous comment I've got a hammer drill and circle saw so I've plenty batteries and charger already, I'm well impressed 👌
You should have put a socket in there and got the difference of foot pounds when it's socket and regular hacks because there's a difference apparently that was seen at the torque test channel
Appreciate this channel.. Can you guys please test impacts with self drilling tappers In metal see which one is better. All the tests everywhere usually involve wood and torque tests usually. Please and thanks
Great concept of combining half-inch with quarter inch drive. If the torque capability on this tool was increased too high it would snap off the smaller hex smaller hex drive bits. And the torque test Channel should test this tool.
Recently bought a SDS Hammer drill and needed it in a hurry and bisch was all the had in stock that day and couldn't wait the 3 days for them to source a makita or dewalt. I'm pretty impressed with it to be fair for the money it's great. It came with a battery and a charger so.i bought a second battery. Amd now I needed a circular saw so.bought bisch again cos.ive the batteries and charger and couldn't be arsed buying another totally different set but damn I'm glad and I'm so.ikpressed woth the circular battery power saw they've got,.it.came.with a small rail that slides in to the bed if the saw its brilliant. I'm guna buy this impact gun next but think I'll buy the 8ah core battery this time. Just not sure will.theu vit the standard charger ?
I've got the pervious one (GDX18V-1800CN) and it gets the lugnuts off my car and half-ton truck just fine. The only vehicle it hadn't been successful was a 99 Ranger I used to have which was overtorqued to over 250 by a small tire shop. I had to brought my breaker bar for that one.
Multiply his results times 12 Also, most impact driver and impact wrench have much more power turning left (removing the nuts), he is testing the too turning to the right
I've had the 1800C version for about a year. You can't imagine how much I've saved on 1/4" to 1/2" adapters. Also, it's got enough torque to remove lugnuts on my car and truck. For higher tasks I've got a mid-torque impact, but most of the time I get back to use the Bosch
3:36 You are hardly pressing on the old one... The difference in torque on paper is not as significant as you show by pressing down harder on the new one... lol 😆 😆 Maybe use a weight to prove me wrong!?!?
Believe it or not but pushing down can cause more resistance and skew the results heavily. A weighted system should be used so it's even across the board.
the brushed one sucked bad. Couldn't even remove the lugnut of one of my cars (100 ft-lbs), but the 1800C is night and day difference. Even my truck's lugnuts don't put much fight, they're off in about 3s each. It's done everything I've asked it to, from 1/4" timberloks to 3/8 by 6" lags
I honestly don't know how Bosch still manages to sell tools in the US, I've owned many of them over the decades and have been underwhelmed with almost all of them.
@@Pro1er Tools are subjective and you get what you paid for. Hence why most Dewalt, Milwaukee, and Makita are anywhere from 200$ to 300$ for an impact driver. Bosch is a respectable and well-known brand and their price is about mid-range that could get any job done. It all depends on what you use it for. I'm still seeing reviews/ comments on any Milwaukee tools on how they are trash/ break within a year. So is it really tools or the user?
Brushless Freak was my nickname in college.

Got the new one, works great..
Nice improvement, the new one is right up there with my Hyper Tough impact driver. 😁

they did already. It topped the previous Freak 2 by around 10 ft-lbs or so.

But you didn't test the 1/2" capabilities, can it move a lug nut?

Great tool
Has any other brand adapted this tech?
Try it with the 8amp battery. Noticeable gains on my 1800 with it. The new one may have even more gains
only gains possible are battery life
So neither tool achieved the Bosch advertised torque?
Covert foot lbs to inch lbs…

The 1/2 anvil for some reason loses torque compared to the 1/4 collet which has more torque
@Alex Gessner yeah I saw that plus I own the gdr version that's got 1/4 collet only and it is a decently powerful impact driver. 👍
I like the concept of having 1/2 square and 1/4 hex but power wise its still kinda rubbish.

@@jeremynguyen2346 I got mine as part of a kit with 2 4Ah CORE batteries and a hammerdrill for $249.
Bare tool can be found for around $129

Terrible test
Not sure about the new one. The old one sucks. I gave it away. Absolutely a trash tool.
