Thank you so very much, Lisa!!! I feel the same and have just pushed my girl's surgery to the end of October hoping to find better ways to help her heal. I just didn't feel right about the vets sending her straight to surgery. It is absolutely awful that we have to dig and search for other ways instead of getting the options from the vets, smh

I myself am going through the natural method. My boy is doing good definitely not out of the woods yet. My advice to anyone who is considering a natural approach is get rid of Kibble ( dry food ) in their diet. Raw meat is hands down the go. Not just raw meat, giblets or liver, chicken necks, omega 3, chicken feet, chicken frames, chicken bone broth. Get a balanced diet from an alternative vet. I also got a dog osteopath for the initial consult. All my problems started after seeing a vet so no more jabs or vet drugs, vets love animals but just like big Pharma it is a lucrative business.

I'm happy for your pups recovery! Did you ever use the brace?

I was going to have her fitted for a brace but my Vet didn't do it and the "fitting charge" was just as much as the brace. I did try a soft brace that she hated in the beginning that we ended up not using. We would have needed a water proof one as well. She was fine without it but I think its a viable option. My holistic vet didn't think she needed it.

I am here to say that I had a dog that had surgery for his ACL tear and a year or two later he did get cancer and lost the leg… I always wondered if that was why he got the cancer

I’ve seen Rottweiler people saying their dogs died from osteosarcoma in the leg that they had surgery on on Facebook. My Rottweiler is having acl problems.

Had a few questions about this. What is the treatment schedule? Is the dog sedated for every treatment visit? Full or partial sedation? You mentioned picking your dog up after the treatment so I assume it's an all day stay at the vet? Does Jezebel have a full or partial CCL tear? Why did you opt for proletherapy instead of PRP or BMAC?
Thanks for documenting Jezebel's treatment and providing so much information.

Hi there. So sorry it took me awhile to respond. I didnt realize I had a question or anyone even watching lol.
The treatment schedule for the Prolotherapy is every 3-4 weeks. She is given an IM shot for sedation. If need be they will give her some inhaled anesthetic normally sevofluraine when they get started to get her nust a but deeper. But it does not involve a breathing tube. She is always able to breath on her own. The Dr does a series of shots along the knee. They keep her for about 2.5hrs just to monitor after the sedation. I drop her off at 930am and than normally by noon I am picking her up.
Jezebel has a full tear. She was assessed by at least 2 different vets and said she has a grade 3 tear and that was not using any sedation. So if she was sedated she probably would have more of a drawer movement. So from her exams they beleive she is a full tear.
The Vet that I see also does PRP if wanted. After reading up on Prolotherapy and Ozone therapy that's what I decided on for Jez.
I was told not to expect any noticable changes until after the 3rd treatment but after 1 she was already showing an improvement. She is expected to have 5 treatments.

She is doing great! She still likes to go for walks, swims a lot in the summer and is still able to jump on the bed! Although I try to pick up her instead of having her jump lol. She doesn't have any limping or lameness. Getting along great for an 10.5 year old lab!

@@lisaganocy3922 awesome , mine tore his a few days ago he is limping but when I give him support with the harness when we walk outside he walks normally and puts pressure on it. I also just started doing light therapy with the lumashoothe today I feel like he showed some improvement immediately. He’s going to a holistic vet this Friday for acupuncture and laser therapy. This gives me a lot of hope.

Any further updates from either one? I too am using the Lumasoothe looking into prolotherapy and acupuncture as well... were there any supplements/herbs or cbd products you used to help the healing? Also how many prolo sessions did you do/did it take to start noticing improvements... did you do prolotherapy on the good knee as well?

@@nph_fit 7 months later my boy is almost completely healed. No surgery just a 2 laser appointments and some hemp for a few months. He was always putting pressure on his knee but after 3-4 months he could do it without the leash and flying down the stairs
