Treating my dog's CCL tear holistically without surgery
Jezebel 1.5 years after holistic treatment of a CCL tear.
This is Jezebel currently at 1.5 years after her CCL tear and holistic treatment. Knee is stable and she is living a mobile and pain-free life! I am so glad that I treated her holistically. It is definitely not any cheaper and even longer of a rehab. But I don't have to worry about causing osteosarcoma in an operative leg. She didn't have to undergo anesthesia and this treatment option worked for us and our family. I don't condone surgery it just wasn't for us.

This the beginning of our journey to treat my dog's CCL tear with Holistic treatment instead of the TPLO surgery.
Would you be able to tell me where you received prolotherapy in Royal oak? I am in the area
Going through this now. Any cbd brand or supplements brands u can suggest? I’m looking into regenerative stem cell therapy but so emotional over what to do 😔
I am here to say that I had a dog that had surgery for his ACL tear and a year or two later he did get cancer and lost the leg… I always wondered if that was why he got the cancer
I’ve seen Rottweiler people saying their dogs died from osteosarcoma in the leg that they had surgery on on Facebook. My Rottweiler is having acl problems.
I myself am going through the natural method. My boy is doing good definitely not out of the woods yet. My advice to anyone who is considering a natural approach is get rid of Kibble ( dry food ) in their diet. Raw meat is hands down the go. Not just raw meat, giblets or liver, chicken necks, omega 3, chicken feet, chicken frames, chicken bone broth. Get a balanced diet from an alternative vet. I also got a dog osteopath for the initial consult. All my problems started after seeing a vet so no more jabs or vet drugs, vets love animals but just like big Pharma it is a lucrative business.
Just watched your video and would like to know how your dog is doing? My dog just torn her CCL and I'm just doing research. Thank you nice video.
Where did you get the cytokine dropper?
You're awesome wow that's what I want to do. Glad I found your page
Omg can you please help me? My dog I think tore his CCL I'm scared of surgery. Please help
I need your help my dog is limping on his back right leg I think it's his CCL. Did your dog recover on it's own?
Thank you so very much, Lisa!!! This gives me so much hope! I am struggling to find a holistic doctor who does the procedure in the Dallas area, but I won't give up even if I have to travel with my girl :)
It was so worth it!! I cried daily as I was faced with what to do for her. I love her so much and wanted to do the best for her. As I am sure you feel the same way about your girl! Keep searching and hopefully you will find a holistic vet as well. Or maybe talk to your vet, maybe they would be willing to do the procedure or can refer you to someone that does.
@@lisaganocy3922 thank you so so much, Lisa! And yes, you know exactly how it feels and I am so happy that your girl had overcome it! <3
Thank you so very much, Lisa!!! I feel the same and have just pushed my girl's surgery to the end of October hoping to find better ways to help her heal. I just didn't feel right about the vets sending her straight to surgery. It is absolutely awful that we have to dig and search for other ways instead of getting the options from the vets, smh
Thank you for posting these videos, Jezebel seems like such a sweet girl! I was wondering if she limps or has a hard time after the times she is active? (since she is able to walk, run, and play very well it seems). Other than maybe some generalized arthritis since she is older.
I'm happy for your pups recovery! Did you ever use the brace?
I was going to have her fitted for a brace but my Vet didn't do it and the "fitting charge" was just as much as the brace. I did try a soft brace that she hated in the beginning that we ended up not using. We would have needed a water proof one as well. She was fine without it but I think its a viable option. My holistic vet didn't think she needed it.
Hey how has your dog been since ?
She is doing great! She still likes to go for walks, swims a lot in the summer and is still able to jump on the bed! Although I try to pick up her instead of having her jump lol. She doesn't have any limping or lameness. Getting along great for an 10.5 year old lab!
@@lisaganocy3922 awesome , mine tore his a few days ago he is limping but when I give him support with the harness when we walk outside he walks normally and puts pressure on it. I also just started doing light therapy with the lumashoothe today I feel like he showed some improvement immediately. He’s going to a holistic vet this Friday for acupuncture and laser therapy. This gives me a lot of hope.
@@itsjlotto There is definitely hope! Here's to a full and speedy recovery for your pup!!
Any further updates from either one? I too am using the Lumasoothe looking into prolotherapy and acupuncture as well... were there any supplements/herbs or cbd products you used to help the healing? Also how many prolo sessions did you do/did it take to start noticing improvements... did you do prolotherapy on the good knee as well?
@@nph_fit 7 months later my boy is almost completely healed. No surgery just a 2 laser appointments and some hemp for a few months. He was always putting pressure on his knee but after 3-4 months he could do it without the leash and flying down the stairs
my 175 lb is 9 weeks in from his first acl surgery - and has to have the other. it was 6 thous. wondering the cost of this for you. gonna have to look into it, casue this was the HARDEST thing we have ever gone thru with any of our rescue danes. thansk
So good to see! So was it prolotherapy that did the magic?
I would say prolo was the big thing but the rehab also helped!
Hi there, I've seen all your videos and considering the same treatment for my big boy. So, I'm wondering where is Jezebel's progress now, a little over 1 year since the filming of this video. Thank you! Betty
Hi Betty! Sorry I didn't get the notification earlier. Jez is doing great! She still swims, walks, small zoomie, and will still jump on the bed (even though I discourage it!) She did have a small limp at first that took awhile to zooming, especially when getting up and down. But she is also 10 so par for the course. We are over 1.5 years out and doing great! Good luck with whatever you choose. I will post an updated video later this week!
Had a few questions about this. What is the treatment schedule? Is the dog sedated for every treatment visit? Full or partial sedation? You mentioned picking your dog up after the treatment so I assume it's an all day stay at the vet? Does Jezebel have a full or partial CCL tear? Why did you opt for proletherapy instead of PRP or BMAC? Thanks for documenting Jezebel's treatment and providing so much information.
Hi there. So sorry it took me awhile to respond. I didnt realize I had a question or anyone even watching lol. The treatment schedule for the Prolotherapy is every 3-4 weeks. She is given an IM shot for sedation. If need be they will give her some inhaled anesthetic normally sevofluraine when they get started to get her nust a but deeper. But it does not involve a breathing tube. She is always able to breath on her own. The Dr does a series of shots along the knee. They keep her for about 2.5hrs just to monitor after the sedation. I drop her off at 930am and than normally by noon I am picking her up. Jezebel has a full tear. She was assessed by at least 2 different vets and said she has a grade 3 tear and that was not using any sedation. So if she was sedated she probably would have more of a drawer movement. So from her exams they beleive she is a full tear. The Vet that I see also does PRP if wanted. After reading up on Prolotherapy and Ozone therapy that's what I decided on for Jez. I was told not to expect any noticable changes until after the 3rd treatment but after 1 she was already showing an improvement. She is expected to have 5 treatments.
Hope this helps and answers your questions. Let me know if you have any other questions!
