Anyone who can afford these cars would blindly choose the S class over the EQS. Cost of running is clearly not their concern.
Luxury and interior room are the only things that matter

Most if not all S class owners are chauffeur driven. That could be the reason for omitting the ventilated seats in the front. It's pretty stupid to do that though. 🙄

Hvac in these top end luxury cars like Merc, Bmw is much better than an Ac in someone's house. No owner cares about ventilated seats they just want to sit back and forget the outside world.

I am 5'10" and sat in the rear of the EQS. Let me tell you, it was disappointing: First of all, there is much less headroom. Way too little for anyone tall. Then the seats are so close to the floor that your seating position just feels wrong. You also have to step up into the EQS because the battery pack is so thick.
I also sat in a Skoda Kodiaq suv and I would say the rear seating position was even better than even the s-class. Very surprised. Of course the seats of the s-class are much more adjustable etc. But purely from the seating position, I would choose the Skoda...
