This made me curious so i decided to see if you could beat super mario oddysey whilst only crouching. Turns out you can. It's actualy way easier than it sounds because even while crouching the game barely removes any of marios movement options. That and the capy captures doesn't change at all when you crouch constantly. Don't think you can complete the game. 8-bit pipes that face uppwards when you go to 2d will have mario instantly go back. This means you can't beat sand kingdom and if it wasn't for the t-rex jump at cascade kingdom the game would have been impossible to beat while only crouching. Really the only things that get more difficoult are the bosses when you don't use a captured enemy.

Crouching as tall mario makes you the same size as small mario, so you'd have to force the player to take a mushroom at the start, and have no obstacles that deal damage.
You can have obstacles that deal damage. Just stick a short muncher tunnel at the end so the player has to be Super in order to tank the hit and complete the level.
Yeah it would... if we were able to. Actual did this. And it isn't possible. All because of World 8-Tower (1) ends the run. Also, World 6 is a nightmare for coinless. But we can skip this by (a) using a cannon or (b) going to World 7 (getting there is easy because the challenge already requires the Mini Mushroom). World 8-Tower, though, isn't going to be possible until we find a way to get past a row of coins in a one-block high section and we are forced to go through that section.

I am trying to 100 percent the switch port while crouching, and the slope physics there suck. Instead of doing a normal jump, you can only long jump off of slopes. However, if you jump the instant you touch the slope, you do a normal crouch jump. Chain these to safely go up slopes. It makes this run such a huge nightmare, but in a good way! Thanks for giving me this amazing idea.

Yeah it would... if we were able to. Actual did this. And it isn't possible. All because of World 8-Tower (1) ends the run. Also, World 6 is a nightmare for coinless. But we can skip this by (a) using a cannon or (b) going to World 7 (getting there is easy because the challenge already requires the Mini Mushroom). World 8-Tower, though, isn't going to be possible until we find a way to get past a row of coins in a one-block high section and we are forced to go through that section.

Omg absaloutly the same thing happened to me at Jevil from Deltarune
I am trying to 100 percent the switch port while crouching, and the slope physics there suck. Instead of doing a normal jump, you can only long jump off of slopes. However, if you jump the instant you touch the slope, you do a normal crouch jump. Chain these to safely go up slopes. It makes this run such a huge nightmare, but in a good way! Thanks for giving me this amazing idea.
