      @@ruiferreira9946, at least, get you center closed for the same-side attack. If your opponents gets to your king first, because you used your defense to attack, you're probably going to lose something.

    I like Fabino's personality. And never forget he played a bunch of classic time control games against one of the best who ever lived, and they were all tied up at the end of the WCC classic time control portion.

    I can tell Fabi held back and made more moves then was necessary. It could have been much more devastating with the two pawns being pushed like that cause the white bishop was actually trapped but he didn't push them. It was interesting to see how he used them to open him up instead of pushing the pawns and taking pieces.

      Prime example of the threat being more powerful than the attack... As they explained in the post game analysis.. having that pawn guarding g1 was way more powerful than winning a rook... And says a lot of how gms have a plan from very early once they see weak points on board

      @@georgeoshea9961 funny enough any gm, Im and even FM can beat him it just depends on the game you never know, it’s like you’re saying only Nepo, Ding , Magnus and Alireza can beat him which is ridiculous because you’re only looking at from a rating point of view but at the top level any gm can beat a gm especially if they are caught in a prep or a master studied his prep and try and refute it

      @@princeantisocial do you have any idea how many times he’s been beaten or even held to a draw by an IM or FM? Do you know how many wins and few losses against top rated GMs you need to break 2800? When he was at his peak there was only one person in the world that would beat him at classical and he held him to 13 draws. Obviously chess players lose the odd game here and there against lower rated players, but you’re speaking as though it’s so common as to be a banality. Which records will show across the board, it’s not.

Even the current world championships is showing lots of hiccups, all I’m saying is that,note that I did not say classical this goes for mostly blitz and bullet I mean we’re watching coffee chess here, is that he’s not unbeatable. Even GMs make mistakes too although very less common and very less likely

    Great game.. Interestingly during the opening Fabiano willingly gives up a bishop for a knight but later passes on taking knight for a pawn.. Early mid game BM blunders giving up a bishop on a poorly developed board!! Its a weird game from the beginning and it will end quickly
    I think that Boston Mike's blunder sealed the game, I'm not sure what would of changed the outcome here B Mike there wasn't much strategy here he simply went for cornering you on a weak board maybe bringing in a rook might of helped.. I think

      Very cool! I wonder how they get so many great players? They might be paid appearances, doesn't matter I guess. They certainly made a nice niche for themselves as a chess youtube channel. When I first saw their channel, some years ago, it seemed a bit strange to see these (relatively) lower level chess players sorta acting like they were great players, but it's entertaining. And you gotta hand it to them, they are willing to play anyone, and do it with style, even when being very much outmatched. Watched a lot of their videos, so they must be doing something right :) Heck, they are kinda famous now, to people who watch chess online.

    One thing j learn which was a big help is when you lose pawns around your Kong replace them with pieces if you can survive the attack usually you win.

    You asked what was the line that white could have used to keep an advantage?? After the captures in the center it all evens out and it is completely equal.
    There is no advantage. This is a very solid and reliable line as black to counter English 1.c4 2.Nc3, even Anand used Bb4 for along time as black.
