    I absolutely love this shoe! It's heavier but I honestly don't notice the weight underfoot. They are stable for such a high stack and they save the legs like no other shoe. And you will be able to get hundreds of miles out of them, alot more than most shoes so I do see a value even though they are expensive. I say buy them!

    I think the problem is that people are looking at this as a successor to the Prime X Strung. The V1 and this newer version are basically completely different shoes and should be viewed that way.
    The primeX line is like Adidas scientific test line their "what if" line so I think some versions will be amazing and some will fall short because they are all tests. Everything you mentioned in this video was a positive except the weight.... That would be an easy fix come V3... As all shoes it's an evolution. Not a bad show by any means. Pricey indeed if you're paying retail ( I didn't). So to me there is value at the discounted price. It's a trainer, not a racer, although for heavier runners maybe it could be a racer?
    In any case great follow up keep that content churning, can't wait for the next video!

    i get along with this shoe interms of the ride. its superfast and I don't feel the weight, but I am returning them. The upper sucks because the plastic area digs into the inside bones of my feet no matter the sock or lacing. I went TTS so i don't think a half size up or down would help because of that

    I don't know why people are obsessed with the weight of this shoe? Yes it weighs more than other shoes, but the stuff that makes it heavy makes you run faster? So who cares how much it weighs? If you want light run barefoot!

    Is the strung upper 3D printed? If so I might that might account for the increased price while Adidas pays for the new manufacturing equipment.

    I bought a pair through the Pro Direct app in the Black Friday sale and they’ve just arrived. 😢
    I’m disappointed. The fit is great (half size up from normal), feel really comfortable and bouncy. But when I run up and down the hall, they make a duck quacking sound with every step. Im guessing here, but it could have something to do with compressing the air between the gap through the midsole (??) So I’m sending them back. Has anybody else had this issue???

    You are comparing it to the Vaporfly or other super shoes. These are the average runner's racing shoe. Or those who weight 150 lbs and above. It is effective for up to 4 marathons before noticeably losing bounce whereas the other carbon shoes like Vaporfly or adios pro 3 will be effective up to 2 marathons. And you don't really need Vaporfly or Adios Pro if you are a mere runner who have a BMI of 25-26. You will get faster more dropping your BMI to 24 and using this shoe , than maintaining your weight and using a Vaporfly or Adios Pro.

    I can't understand what Adidas think. This shoes cost 50euro more than the adios pro 3, is it worth or better in any way? absolutely not, it is heavier, less fun, slower. everything you want to do in this shoes you can do it better in the adios pro 3. the only good point would be to get used to run in such a heavy brick shoes, if you race in the adios pro 3 you will fly!! But does that justify the cost? i don't think so

    I had the first version and liked the ride, but it was terribly unstable. I won't go to this version for all the reasons you mentioned. I have no idea why they made it this heavy. I think it ruins the tech. If they made it lighter and improved the stability that would have been something.

    Its a nice stable ride compared to V1, but doesn't feel as lively and responsive as the V1........think it'll be a leg saver and less versatile compared to V1 (you could use V1 as a race option, this defo wouldn't) it's kinda lost it's P.O.D.

      Having the Pro 3 which I love but for me being a heavier runner I enjoy the extra stack for protection and also not being time focused. Not true. It is the best looking plated shoes out there. The cushion is like alphafly and protects the legs. The weight is an overrated matrix for 10-15. Price is high though that is true

    Sooo Chris "I love cheap shoes" Ford is now recommending a 220 € Superblast as a budget option? 😜 Having both the Superblast and the Prime X 1 I would say they are both unnecessary luxury, one could do everything in a Pegasus or Deviate Nitro, and in fact many people do just that, I just love always picking a shoe that works best for the specific run like the Superblast for long runs or the Takumi Sen for a 10k. I haven't been getting on well with the Prime X so far due to heel slipping, but everyone has different anatomy and biomechanics so having options that work for different people is great.

      @FordyRuns sorry if the smiley wasn't clear, I saw these videos which is why I was kidding. Mostly, apart from the fact that the Prime X indeed suddenly makes the Superblast look much more reasonably priced, or the Vaporfly seems cheap when compared to the Endorphin Pro or Alphafly, not even mentioning the Evo.

  • @pensiveape6184
    @pensiveape6184 Рік тому

    Comparison with Superblast is not a good one. I have Prime X 1 and it's very different shoe from Superblast. Superblast is daily trainer (if you want) and long run (if you want) shoe whereas Prime X is : I feel so good today, my legs are as good as new and I want to have some fun while running, I want to jump around like on a trampoline and not to get too tired while doing it. And I think I might use it for some good 10 km or 21 km personal result (I don't run marathon). I don't think I will ever buy Prime X2 because I don't see how this shoe is any better than v1. OK, it's more stable, but far too heavy. And apparently not such a fun shoe like v1. So what's the point of the v2? I think it's a step back for a user. I think this v2 is more like an experimental shoe where the main goal for Adidas is probably to collect the data and experience from the runners. Which means Prime X3 or Pro 4 might be better shoes than any current model. Anyway, tip of the hat to Adidas for these attempts to make running more exciting. I rarely have a good words for big companies, but apparently in Adidas there are some creative and smart people in the management (at the moment). Too bad Prime X2 is not a better shoe, but I'm intrigued about what's coming next from Adidas.

      Not sure if it's a step back for the user, it's maybe a step back from all those that liked the V1, but the user of V2 are going to be all the people that complained about V1, so for them it's a step foreward due to the enhanced stability which was the main drawback for many.
      I personally have no issues with stability even on fast turns in V1, but many simply couldn't run in it, V2 simply isn't for people who liked V1.

    • @pensiveape6184
      @pensiveape6184 Рік тому

      @@fergusdenoon1255 Fair point, but I still think the added weight of v2 is a serious problem, especially if you want to run somewhat faster. I never felt a problem with stability during my runs in v1, but since I pronate (my left foot), some of my inner thigh muscles paid a price for the instability of the v1 after each longer run. I would gladly buy v2 if the weight was approx the same. I'm hopeful that the v3 will be the best of both versions.

    Its heavier cause its wider. Bigger platform cause people whined about the v1 being so unstable.
    Also lower drop means much more foam in the forefoot.
