I absolutely love these shoes! They didn't instantly wow me like the Adios Pro 3 or Takumi Sen 10 did, but it quickly became my favourite shoe of the moment. I only bought them over a month ago, and already have 100 km on them. So bouncy, propulsive, comfortable, fast and leg saving. I was lucky to find it at half price (full is 300 euro over here), and am currently trying to hunt down another discounted pair. They probably are worth the 300 euro, but I'm not paying that much for shoes.

Hey, you’d definitely be better off with a shoe like the Mount To Coast R1 it S1. Both reviewed on the channel. Let me know if you have any questions on them! Happy to help:

Thanks for the review. Are these shoes good for sports such as cricket? Where you need short bursts of sprint/speed constantly. I know the stability might be an issue, but I'm considering them.
@umersyed-yd8ik hey 👋🏼 no I can’t recommend them for cricket. You’d need a shoe with much better traction on grass, and as you pointed out, with more stability too! I’d recommend a minimal trail racing shoe for cricket 👍🏼
Hey 👋🏼 unfortunately you’ll have to fix your plantar fasciitis first. It’s not an injury that I advise running on. That said, the Hoka Cielo X1 is the most forgiving, and comfortable super shoe I have reviewed. Search my review on the channel 👍🏼
These are so bouncy and fun but it makes all of my other shoes feel flat so I like to take these out once a week for a fun long run. Not worth $300 and not one I would want to run a marathon in but they are easy to get in the US for around $150
@@trailandkale I get them on for ebay for $150~190. Problem is, you cannot refund, due to the seller not allowing it. But I already know my size and buying second pairs, so it's not a problem. Ebay also examines them, before they ship to you. It just take awhile to ship, because it has to pass expert's inspection. The ones I bought were indeed advertised size and unused. It's a bit of a gamble, so people tend to shy away from Ebay super shoes. For example, I bought an Asics Superblast size 7 from a Chinese seller, but the shoes arrived were 7' 1/2". He deleted his account, so when I asked for refund, Ebay money back guarantee gave me the money back. And I got to keep the shoes...
bought a pair, and thought i loved them, well i loved the look LOL, but the stiffness (not softness) the stiffness of the shoe in all ways is detrimental to allowing the feet, or maybe just my feet to bend and be as feet should be with shock absorption and allowing correct biomechanical form.... so after 3 runs my feet had fat pad brusing at the forefoot, went to the foot doc who confirmed this and as she knew i was a runner she asked what i had worn recently, she adviosed it was the shoe for sure and she had seen it many times with carbon plated and stiff max stack running shoes. It will take a few months to repair the feet so runners beware, max stack with TWO carbon plates and almost zero flex in the shoe is NOT good for your feet.
The shoes are a huge disappointment. Today I went out for my first run, and there’s a design flaw in the area below the last holes of the lacing. The protrusion of the hard plastic part, where the heel cushions continue, creates a pressure point and rubbing. This was only felt after 40 minutes into the run, and it wasn’t noticeable at the beginning. That’s why I didn’t feel it when I tried them on in the store. For shoes that cost over $250, I would expect them to be tested on the feet of many athletes with different foot anatomies. Truly disappointing.
I agree it’s a shame that 90% of super shoes do appear to be modelled on racer’s feet. That’s why I love the Cielo X1, alphafly 3, and the ASICS Metaspeed Sky Paris so much

I’ve been looking for a pair of fun shoes to run in. Not just a very good shoe. Now I need to decide which one Cielo X or Prime X Strung 😊
I think it’s an important- after all it should be fun! :) i personally would go with the Cielo x1, if that helps in your decision making
I’m looking for a long run shoe, and my race day shoe is the AF3s, would you say they’re fairly close to them?
They’re very different, you might be better placed with a non plated shoe for long runs
good for pace: 4:00-4:20/km? :D
Yes! This is the pace I was hitting in them :)
@@trailandkale How about slower pace? Like 5:00 - 5:30 /Km? I hope they still can fit me :)
Yes they’re within this range too!
Would you consider these for a road ultra? If not what would you choose? Thanks

It possible to use the shoes for long run in trails or off road trails like sand and rock ?
No definitely not. It will feel super unstable

No definitely not. They would be super unstable for weight lifting.
I need a very stiff shoe, does this fit the bill?
Yes it’s stiff in the flex, like the Alphafly 3 is
Hi there , is this shoe able to accommodate wide feet??

It’s a shoe for runners pushing pace for sure but most carbon plates are. The Cielo x1 differs here thanks to its epic rocker.
What’s sizing like
True to size with a medium width
I bought it, painted it black, then it became y-3
Lol

Im not sure this should be called a raceday shoe. Imo its more of a daily trainer. Its way to heavy for any racing
Different Horses for different courses. They’re certainly not your traditional race day shoe but they’re definitely a racing shoe
