For me Biochemistry is one of the difficult ones to get in touch. After watching these videos it seems like biochem is one of the easiest subject study. This professor is really dedicated to this work. This teaching method is extremely effective. I've felt like I am being in a real live lecture. There are lots of Science related videos out there. But "Ninja Nerd" videos really valuable to share with others. Keep it up Sir.

This was very interesting.I appreciated your clarification of the conditions i.e. fasting state and acute stress state when fat mobilization is happening. The elucidation of the three enzymes involved Adipose triglyceride lipase,Hormone sensitive lipase and Mono-acyl glyceride lipase was very helpful. In lippincot, the regulation via the GPCR-cAMP second messenger system(activated by epinephrine) is mainly directed at the HSL,I hope you can clarify that for me.Such a helpful video.

Thanks. Good video. I had no prior knowledge that not only does the body break down protein LBM into glucose via GNG but can also do it as a consequence of Lipid breakdown into glycerine and its 3 fatty acids by free transport of glycerine to liver via a similar GNG process used to convert protein/LBM.
ATP seems to be the most common primal fuel at a cellular level but the cell mitrochondria seems to have a multi-fuel capacity to handle ATP, Fatty Acids and Glucose (and perhaps some primitive alcohols too?). Begs the question if we can biohack our ratios of mitochondrial specializations to get more preference for fat vs glucose vs ATP etc as a specialization of our own lifestyle and modify it over life by targeted nutrition, supplementation and exercise type (anabolic/HIIT, resistance training styles); or to modify our preferred bio fuels to compensate for metabolic disfunctions arising from age related signaling in-sensitivities, disease, injury etc.
Question: How long do the circulating albumin protein "boats" stay in situ being recirculated pending cellular uptake into LBM or active tissue before they are declared "past shelf life" or "in excess of overhead to manage them" and shuttled back into body fat? Seems like the blood stream is being used as a kind of transient energy queing/buffering system but it must have much less volumetric capacity than lipid storage cells otherwise arteries would sprout fatty deposits as more localized and accessible auxiliary fat storage systems (surprised there are no cancers that mimick this phenomena).
