Top score ! And a style one does not see so often these days, they'll look even better when they've acquired that character that wear brings. I'd suggest against mixing Saphir products with the more pedestrian brands, its been my experience that the solvent base used in the less premium brands of polish are rather more aggressive than that of Saphir, and will tend to strip any lovingly applied Saphir wax with ease.
Its all a matter of waiting to strike when you see a good deal. I have found that this dark tan colour from Kiwi has no direct colour comparison in the Saphir range, hence I use it occasionally on my shoes to get a certain colour effect, but in general I would agree - best not a mix petroleum-based solvents with the natural products.
Fantastic find at a bargain price... nice to be unused as well... I can imagine these will look great when you build up a patina... good luck I hope they are comfortable and give you pleasure when wearing them...
Thank you, this was a very pleasing and somewhat rare find and the shoes have turned out to be a great addition to my collection and a bargain price too.
Absolute steal Ash. Well trousered Sir! The soles are stunning, tops, rather nice. One tip for the mean Chap! put the renovator on with your fingers.... you use less. Nice vid Ash.
I have invested in two differing lots of horse hair brushes, neither were cheap, but I find I get a better shine using my old man made fibre jumpers than the brushes. They also shed bristles horrendously, any idea why either of these should be the norm?
A good brush should not shed bristles. I may suggest that your brush has been compromised in some way and the adhesive that holds the bristles in place have deteriorated to the point of failure.
Well, Mr. Jones, here I am again. I see this video is a few years old. What has become of these shoes? Apologies if you’ve given an update, and if you have, could you point me to it? You know, my first interaction with you was asking about an update on the Loake 1880 Birkdale you did a shine on right out of the box. You said you may do an update on them. If you haven’t approached that update yet maybe you could kill 2 birds with 1 stone by adding these to that update. Keep up the great work.
Opie, I have a 3-year review video due to be published in the next few weeks on the Birkdales (SPOILER - They are excellent). The Sanders shoes have been in the box since I polished them in this video. A tragic symptom of having too many nice shoes.
@@TheChapsGuide Well, there are definitely worse problems to have. Hehe!! Looking forward to the Birkdale update. I don’t know what it is, but I’ve watched that video at least 5 times. If it comes through on rotation I just let it play.
Excellent!

Many thanks - this was indeed a great bargain and one which shows there are still nice treats out there to locate. Best regards, Ash
Impressive, enjoyed watching, and that final shot of the before / after really showed how good they looked...

Similar Sanders shoes are selling on Amazon for over £150! Fantastic find, brilliant shoe cleaning demonstration. Thankyou
Glad you like them!
Nice find there Ash and again thanks for the bulling tip. I use your method now as it's faster than how I was taught in the army. 👍
Glad to hear it helped. Best regards.
Nice video Ashley. I bet you had the best bulled shoes when you were in. I need to sprawl eBay for some deals too.
take your time, do the research and the fruits will fall.

I've seen it done that way, but I'm a bit old school. I like the feel of the cotton, but I'll have to revisit that method again.
Hi Sir
Should I polish my shoes on daily basis or Should there be some gaps of 2 or 3 day.
Polish when it is required sir, not necessarily daily or even weekly.

Nice bargain
I wish they came along more often.
