Congratulations, this is one of if not the best legato Cello out there, also the price is really appreciated, love the low tone.
Thank you Ricardo, really appreciate the kind words! Happy Playing 🎻
@@sonixinema you are most welcome,it was my pleasure, kind regards.
I am waiting to download and have a million songs already waiting for this amazing instrument, what a beauty.
Instant buy for me. Amazing.
Thank you, happy playing 🙂
Absolutely beautiful!
Are you talking about the cello or every one of your compositions ;) Could apply to either
@@joelwybrew Ahh you're too kind haha! Thanks so much :)
Thank you Christopher!
Sounds beautiful. I’ve been looking for a great solo cello and this is rocketing up the list for serious consideration. Although I agree with some others about an option to toggle the rebow off and on.
Seems you did an absolute fantastic job! Plus: Great Presentation!
Sounds absolutely amazing and my partner is a professional cellist so I listen to this sound all day every day! This library has put Sonixinema on my radar for real, and IMO the only thing missing is perhaps an option to play non vibrato. Sounds like you recorded it so maybe you can add snapshot to leave out the vibrato crossfade if that’s in fact what’s happening. Otherwise, very very impressive. Congrats Sonixinema!😊
Yes. Please make non vibrato option available. Especially for chord sustains. Also, having an option to play polyphonic legato would be amazing as well.
Otherwise, this sounds fantastic. Thank you for making this library available.
Superb!
tears of joy upon hearing - can't wait to get and play - wow
Love to hear this! Hope you enjoy the library 🙂
Wow, that sounds really beautiful and I love the rebow function!
Thank you! It is a really useful addition 🤓
Very nice sound! Great idea to be able to insert a rebow when needed!
Thank you 🤓 it is really handy when creating melodic lines, not sure why it's not in more libraries!
When you played chords, my heart split in half. Deadly beautiful
Thank you, glad you like it 🙂
Wonderful sounding library… yes please
Thank you, glad you like it!
Just installed it, wow what a beautiful sound, so playable. A new favourite for sure. Nice work Sonixinema
@@SpeakOfTheDavel wonderful to hear, happy playing!
Awesome! I’m looking for a cello legato library. I love the Rebow switch, but unfortunately you don’t seem to have the infinite bow feature like the Tina Guo Library has, to disable the automatic bow change.. For me that is a necessary feature, as I don’t want to be disturbed by a bow change if I want to make a slow long stroke… Or is it possible to disable the automatic bow change?
WOW! You played the intro of "On The Nature of Daylight - Max Richter" with the "Sustains - Far Away" snapshot. 😃
Well spotted 🙂
Sounds fantastic! Hopefully you would consider adding fingered legato as an option as well.
Hey guys - wow, love the tone of the cello in this, beautiful and rich, and the performance is brilliant - great job! I was so relieved to see/hear the rebow functionality - sounds awesome! I have a few questions which I can't find any info on in the video or website:
1. The same two notes back and forth (does it trigger the same performances/samples or do we have RR for these? )
2. The rebow sounds fantastic, but again, if I was to rebow on the same note repeatedly, would this sound realistic using RR's?
3. The releases sound a little harsh and cut off too soon - is there a way to turn these up or increase the length? again, can't see the ENV page in the video.
I appreciate these are very specific questions, but I'd love to have these features in this library in a future update should they not already be possible :)
Following this ;)
Hey Mic - thanks for the kind words!
The rebow definitely adds a lot of flexibility! Unfortunately there aren't RRs for the legato - I think Nick's fingers would have fallen off if we'd subjected him to that 😅 but having said that I've been playing this library for month and never felt that "machine gun" effect, it's always felt very natural sounding. The rebow does not have RRs either I'm afraid, but again it's not something I've ever struggled with when using the library. There is an ENV tab on the library to control the ADSR too!
Thanks and hope you enjoy the library if you pick it up!
Well done on creating what is, in my humble opinion, one of the most realistic vst legato cellos on the market. However, am I correct in assuming you only recorded bow change legato? This might explain why this sounds stunning with slower legato but you can start to hear the limitations when you play faster. I am presuming runs would be a hurdle. Still, whatever you did with the legato script, vibrato and dynamics still beats 90% of the competition out there, so you are clearly onto something. Sounds like you decided to recorded baked-in vib and arcs rather than different dynamics, am I right? That might explain why it sounds so realistic, unlike most other virtual cellos. If you wanted to take this to the next level, you could go down the Virharmonic route and start recording all kinds of legato transitions (fingered legato of different lengths), as well as different arcs, shorts etc. and turn this into the real deal. If you get those things right like you did so far, this would be a monster of a VST and easily get head of most virtual cellos out there. Regardless, congrats on succeeding where most others have failed. This is truly remarkable.
Thank you for the kind words, really glad you're enjoying it. Yes the legato is all the same style, but we hope to dive further in to this and seeing if we can improve it even further and make it more flexible! 🙂
❤❤❤💎💎💎❤❤❤
Nicely done... I got a question though - the vibrato is "baked into" the samples? No way of switching it off?
Thanks! The vibrato is baked in, but we ensured that it is tasteful across the range and never too much
@@sonixinema OK thanks for your reply
Have you used an Expressive E Touché with your cello software? If so what are your recommended settings?
Sounds stupidly good. I already have competing libraries and this is STILL making me hesitate over the buy button lmao.
Sidenote: How the HECK did you get that Arturia limited edition keyboard in white!? haha
Haha thanks, well we hope you take the plunge and get to enjoy the library soon! Stefano wasn't actually aware this was limited edition 😅 so I guess just blind luck!
How's glissando?
this cello sounds amazing....can you turn off the red key so you could play this cello with another library ? thanks
You can change location of the rebow key, so it would be out of the way. It’s at the bottom of the “Global” page.
@@iammadeofsound thank you for your help Tomas
is there dynamic control or is the expression just controlling volume but not recorded dynamics?
Correct, there is just one dynamic layer for the cello, expression just controls volume. Having said that, I've never felt like this library lacks dynamics :)
@@sonixinema That's acceptable (and actually more efficient than the several dynamics technique) HOWEVER, provided that the natural sustains arcs have been fully captured properly. That being said i've noticed in the walkthrough that only the arc beginning is there (and sounds beautiful) but I didn't hear any natural fade out of the note to complete silence... just sudden stops which sounds a bit off to be honest.
Viola's are very unrecognized in a lot of libraries, i see. 😅
So many companies never do a viola, I can find a 50 solo violin and cello Libraries.
Sonixinema has Contemporary Soloist: Viola - it's lovely!
@@iammadeofsound true, I like the emotion in this intimate legato style. Feels more dramatic
What keyboard is that?
I think Stefano is using Arturia Keylab 88 Mark 1
Thank you! I could see the A, and thought so. Like the faders!
