Yes. Very nice sounding and expressive instruments, but honestly, the programming in this demo is far from being exceptional I have to say, especially the timing in the busy part... I'm picky since I've been listening to real world string quartets for over 30 years now so that timing thing here kind of just JUMPED at me 😁 but it didn't prevent me from purchasing the whole quartet! 😍
I just bought the strativari violin and I am in heaven! It's so crazy alive. And to those who think that the vibrato sounds a bit mechanic - if you change the amount of vibrato up and down with midi automation just like a real violin would do, it sounds just perfect!
Thank you for reporting on this. I spent an unholy amount of time just looking to see if you could control the vibrato at all with this. Your feedback is much appreciated.
I really appreciate that you showed us some written examples with the actual plugin and modulation visible. Besides it being good to know what exactly is happening. It also teaches me a thing or 2 about this library and the usage of articulations and modulation for solo strings in general ! Great release, thanks !
I purchased this library months ago when it was on sale. I finally started working with it this week. Holy smoke! For years I've longed to have a realistic library to write intimate string arrangements. For the last year I've been struggling with Spitfire Abby Road 2 (I love the sound but it's a lot of work to use) I've been gob-smacked at how easy it is to setup the articulations and control the performance for the Cremona instruments. And the sound is just amazing. I wish Spitfire Audio would study this interface and overhaul the Abby Road player. These two libraries are distinct and I love them both for different applications.
These are hands down the liveliest solo strings ever recorded. I compared them to Eastwest Hollywood solo stuff. Wow. The difference in quality is night and day - NI taking the prize. This collection is worth 800$. And 1000 can be justified.
This is so amazing. I even play the demos on the website as background music. I'm so excited to learn how to use it and for the music I will create. God bless you all in Jesus name.
Yup. Sounds impressive, but still sounds sampled. And my guess is that it always will, because a computer will never be able to imitate a humans bowing technique.
I really have to acknowledge the wonderful job this guy does on walkthroughs. I recognise his voice from cm magazine from many years ago. This was a very thoughtful presentation which did this wonderful series justice.
@SunTai Possibly the way that it was programmed. Sounds like the programmer got a little too excited with the cool legato function and missed out on the great attack articulations that the library seems to offer. 😎🎻
It'd be REALLY nice to have this MIDI demo come with the quartet pack to get a better understanding for how all the options work and what went into making this masterpiece. Basically to use as a reference.
@@igoryudnikov6198 I have one. When you download the instruments, you get all these options and endless possibilities. Its great, but it's a bit intimidating. This seems like a brilliant library, with so many options for control over modulation and articulation. How does this level of control compare to other solo strings libraries, like those from spitfire or 8dio, etc?
Hey Andreas, these instruments were recorded and captured as closely and realistically as possible to the true sound of the instrument. However, you can control the reverb and spaciousness of the sound by adjusting the Far mic position 💪
I absolutely love this and I love how the articulations are programmed. However, is there a way to control the vibrato manually? I would love to make the best of this with my roli seaboard.
Faithality Blog - Colin is correct on that aspect. The vibrato is controllable and can be set to any free CC you like. So I guess it shouldn’t be to difficult to map it to one of the dimensions of the Seaboard.
Faithality Blog Seconding. You can manually assign parameters to your roli (in Kontakt, click on the parameters screen to see which parameter is linked to vibrato and then assign it to a certain touch dimension of your seaboard) If you did make a demonstration it’d be awesome if you could upload it to youtube

I'm loving the sound of this library, but I can´t figure out how to route each mic position to different outputs inside kontak, is this just not possible?
8 slots at a time is a terrible limitation. Why can't we access all 20 articulations in one instance? Now every track-per-instrument user is going to have to cobble together a multi, switching strategy and KSP script.
