Is cutting the pushrods the only way to change them out?
No, you can take the tank off and the rocker boxes off , but it is more work. The S&S kit comes with adjustable push rods.
That was my question, but it was explained
@@Holdon33 ok. So the cutting method is just a way to get them out quicker/easier if you're not planning to sell or reuse the old pushrods. Got it. Thanks! Solid, informative video.
@@TobyNorthEN If you are going to Stage 3 or stage 4 where you change pistons (big bore) or change heads(bigger Valves) then you pull all of that apart and you wont cut them.

You glazed right past measuring the inside cam bearing depth. They don't just bottom like a twin cam. The cam thrust is set by bearing depth on a m8

The difference between 2:46 and 13:30 minute marks is why I always go stage two. That aggressive WAP! sound just makes me happy, even on someone else's bike Love it.

Great video. I’m new to Harley coming from the sport bike world. Watching this install shows what an elegant design the Harley engine is.
I think more that is made to be modified from factory. I came from a GSXR to a 2020 Low Rider S.. it started as 80 HP, with stage 2, 475 cam it now makes 126 HP. The factory motor is there to be beefed with when you buy the bike unless your learning.
@@IAmTheLittleTeaPot seems that way doesn't it? First thing most people do with there Harley's is change the seat, bars, pipes, air cleaner, and maybe cams.

That stage 2 sound awesome and I bet the performance is going to be outrageous but the pushrods needed to be chrome it give it the extra bling my opinion I would it see the pushrod install and the adjustment procedure but all in all great Video 👍

So many small but important details left out: adjusting the pushrods, making sure the timing gears are perfectly aligned , the cam bearing depth , all very important!

Really good looking bike . Nice paint job and with the new cam should run really nice .
Installed ss cam plate,pump anf 475 with powervision... big improvement over stock. Was happy till SS pump broke. Scored my crank a bit so pissed me off. But after screwing around SS gave me a new pump. But i also had done same job with woods wm8 222 cam. So much more seat of the pants pull. I switched when i did my personal over again to the woods wm8 222. Big improvement. So 475 cam sounds good but nowhere near as much pull on the 1800-4800 range.
No more 475

Did this kit on my street glide I get complements all the time on how she sounds like a real Harley now lol
Oh and when doing this or the other aftermarket kits they want 5 thousands or less of run out on the crank be sure to check how much your bike has because Harley allows for zero to twelve on the build from the factory. It's crazy to me but that's how there building them now.

What was the adjustments on the push rods ? Didn’t you have to check end play on the cam?
I can't get much info about whether these cams affect the sound under load or just at idle? And you say the exhaust is generally louder? My 2021 Fat Boy sounds meh even with a 2 into 1 exhaust.

You will be happy you did. I have run the 475 the 22xx the 222 all the woods cams pull much better than SS 475.
If your just a bar hopper thats want snotty cam 475 was good for that.... but nowhere near the pull of woods

Hello. That's a nice bike. I have a question. My motorcycle is fltrx which was shipped in 22 years. I usually run from 1500 rpm to 3500 rpm. What kind of camera is right for me? 475? 465?
Does 475 have a severe fever? I want to change the camera and feel the vibration and sound more shaky than the pure sound and vibration. Like an old bike. Is the 475c cam effective after 2500 rpm? Does the 465c cam have a good effect from 1500 rpm?

No we did not.. Not necessary for this cam.
Did you have any issues removing the Tappet cover or tappet cuff bolts? I have hear that some of them have snapped during removal and had to be extracted from the case.

DOOWORK PRODUCTIONS sometimes... 50 years using SS but some screw up recently that were very costly. Still use there product but check their quality control.... not what it used too be. Customer service not so good either...

With that cam it sounds bad ass. I got one question. Did you use your tuner to adjust things on it or did Harley do it? Reason I’m asking if you still have the format steps you used on the tuner?
We got a remote tune from Fuel Moto and reflashed the bike with a dynojet powervision.

How much difference would it be if the pipes weren’t two in to one? I’m looking for horsepower at 115 and torque around 120+. I plan on get a 2021 RGS
The 2 into 1 pipes pick up about 10 more HP than a true dual..
Love that paint scheme. .....badass bike, I'm guessing this voids any warranty on the bike?.....those lobes on that cam are like twice the size as the stocker.....this thing is gonna thump!!!

Sexy Bike! When installing the cam bearing, did you bottom it out or did you seat the bearing at a specific depth?
Bottomed it out but made sure it was the same depth as the stock one.

I would say a solid 4-5 hours for install..

I’m Army and stationed in Europe. Bought my 2019 HD Road Glide about 4 months ago had 9 miles on it. None of the H-D Dealerships here will charge me about 1,500 💶 that converts to $1,777 USD😳 please help! Trying to get it to run on upgraded software with European maps. Currently all I have access to is radio and music via my phone 🙃 this has been my dream bike and not being able to enjoy it fully sucks. Respect your channel always adding recommended upgrades.

My Road Glide Special is all blacked out except for the covers and push rod covers..they are chrome, wth does Harley do that?? Lol

Yes.
Maybe a little bit different but the Tab Zombie pipes will make it sound very loud
