    Quick tip... if you freeze them without the lid on first, you won't get the dome that has been destroying the blades on these machines. Wait for it to freeze and then you can put the lid on to keep out the odors, etc.

    • @ashouaxiong1404
      @ashouaxiong1404 10 місяців тому +22

      Honestly, you can just let it thaw for a couple minutes and then scrape down the dome with a spoon. It makes it flat, and you wont have to make a trip back to the freezer just to put the lid back on.

    • @mindypweightloss
      @mindypweightloss 10 місяців тому +24

      @ashouaxiong1404 I usually don't bother putting the lid back on, but I know some people are weird about that kind of thing. I also like my creami super firm, so I don't like letting them thaw beforehand. I run cool water over the outside for about 30 seconds before running it so that the sides release, and that's it.

    • @SnowyBlizzard
      @SnowyBlizzard 8 місяців тому +4

      @@ashouaxiong1404I feel like one trip back to the freezer, and scraping a little bit off the top take the same amount of energy, but I’m more likely to end up back and my fridge repeatedly haha

      The no lid trick never works for me. I just flatten it with a spoon after a little thaw

    I tried putting sugar free baked egg custard through the ninja creami, and it was amazing. You have to blend it after it's baked to get it to sit in the container.

      I ordered mine last week and it arrived yesterday! I almost bought the deluxe about 6 months ago but I'm so glad I waited because I got the 11 in 1 Deluxe and it came with 4 of the pint and a half jars!! I got free shipping and only paid $199. I So I have 4 different recipes in the freezer right now and the have been there about 10 hours and only 1 looks like it needs to go longer. Of course that one I added my homemade chocolate extract and homemade vanilla extract so the alcohol in those will change the consistency as we all know alcohol doesn't freeze solid. =) I did get a little bit of each on my finger tip and OMG they are AMAZING already!! LOL I wanted this to be able to use fresh, wholesome ingredients. I'm so sick of reading ingredient lists to not be able to pronounce half of them and many of those are banned in other countries. The additives and preservatives and "natural flavors/colors" that are making us all sick. I have started growing my own food and canning it and I do nothing out of a can. I do everything from scratch.

      You can only make ONE thing with it though, ice cream and from the reviews not very well. It only makes a small amount. The end result is either way too thick or it's soft serve. There is no way to adjust anything either. The whole point of having extra jars for the Ninja is that you can make several flavors very quickly and you can make 11 different frozen treats. The texture of the Ninja is much better as well. I plan to keep my jars full and ready to go. It only takes a maximum of 5 minutes to make ice cream in the Ninja. It's an hour for the Ivation. Good luck.

    I tried the first 3 and as the texture was awesome, the flavor just tasted like whatever protein powder I used. Was really bummed that I had zero cheesecake flavor in that one. 10g is just not enough jello mix to compete with the 45g protein powder based on my experience. Great ideas though, I’ll just need to tinker a bit

    Hi great fantastic video. I just bought the creami!! My son on me has the healthy eat and workout plan. After viewing the SF Jello on Yuka sadly has 12 additives and scored a 7/100 for okay to eat. I know it’s only 10 grams. But I really like ice cream. Any other healthy alternatives?? THANK YOU!!!

      I just got mine and made a great low cal alternative. 1 cup almond milk, 1 cup 1%fairlife milk , 2 Tbsp. Monk fruit/erythritol sugar, 1/8 tsp xanthan gum and peppermint extract or real vanilla extract ( 1/4-1 tsp, pending your preference), the whole point has roughly 150 calories 14 G protein and 6 G of sugar....on a cheat day I might add a few mini Oreos ...this recipe is delicious!

      you can substitute xanthan and/or guar gum or (commonly recommended) a combo of both for the jell-O. i think its a 1:1 swap but usually I just throw in 1/8th or 1/4th depending on what else is in the pint if I think it will come out more or less icy i'll add more or less xanthan/guar.... it takes some experimenting you'll figure it out

      Oh yikes! That model went backwards. I don't understand what Ninja was doing by making this one. I just bought the 11 in 1 Deluxe for $199 and it came with 4 pint and a half jars! It has 11 functions and is the largest of them. You can only do 5 (or 7) functions with the Breeze, you can only make a smaller amounts and to me it seems like a downgrade from the other machines. The only plus to this machine is that it's more quiet but I could care less about that. I want options. From the looks of it the Breeze costs more than the 11 in 1 and that doesn't make any sense to me. I watched a ton of videos before I made my choice. I almost bought the other Deluxe one 6 months or so ago and I'm so glad I didn't! The 11 in 1 is definitely a great deal and offers a lot more options. What I truly like most is that you get 24 ounces and that is double what the other machines offer. And to get 4 pint and a half jars is so convenient.

    At CVS, Ben & Jerry's, Haagen Daz, Talenti, etc. all used to cost around $4.50 per pint. Now all over $7.50. Same at Star Market, Stop & Shop, and other lower priced grocery chains: ice cream, sorbet, frozen yoghurt, and non-dairy frozen substitutes are all over $6.00 and maybe at around $4.50 if on sale. I'm vegan, so I'm used to higher prices for non-dairy vegan ice cream like foods. How does the cost per pint for homemade with the Ninja compare? Seems like a pint depending on ingredients will generally be cheaper and perhaps close to $3 per pint? I don't know. Anyone have experience on estimating the costs of ingredients for this? That would cost justify the time and effort for DIY recipes, right?

    • @eeyorehoney66

      This is called research and we all need to do our own based on our needs and likes. It depends on how you shop and how much you pay for the ingredients you plan to use. Are you buying them in bulk? On sale? Full price? I'm not vegan and I used full fat milk products. Many of the better quality frozen desserts (can't call them ice cream because that is milk/cream, sugar, etc but what is out there today has all kinds of crap in it that we don't want or need, they cost $8 a PINT. The 4 different recipes I made last night, each were a pint and a half so 6 pints so 2 pints short of a gallon. I used Fairlife milks, organic cane sugar, heavy cream, peaches I had canned myself, coffee, extracts that I made, and powdered peanut butter that I had on hand. I still have about a third of the heavy cream left and only used about 3 1/2 cups of milk and 1 1/4 cups sugar. Without sitting down and figuring exactly it likely cost me $2+/- for each pint and a half.

    If I may... you are not emulsifying anything with the watermelon/strawberry. Emulsifying is combining two ingredients that don't mix together easily like a fat and an oil. You emulsify salad dressing for an example. You used a stick/immersion blender to make a smooth base. You could have also used Nutribullet or a Ninja blender or any other blender or food processor. The stick/immersion blender is often used in soap making to emulsify your fats and other liquid ingredients or to make lotions. In the kitchen it is often used to blend up hot soups right in the stock pot so they are no big chunks of anything and it is smooth. It is also often used to make homemade mayo and salad dressings. Examples of emulsifiers are lecithin (sunflower or soy), sodium phosphates, polysorbate 80, carrageenan, olive oil, mustard, honey, eggs, vinegar and many others. Some are not healthy choices obviously. The reason I decide to share this information is because I thought I missed something when you said emulsifier twice and I had to go back and rewatch LOL We learn something new every day right? I would not have known had I not done soap making, salad dressings and even homemade gummies. I have fresh watermelon from my garden that I plan to use! I can't wait!!
