Thanks CJ, I tried this using your recipe. I made a few adjustments to suit my taste buds. One cup of lemon juice was too strong for my taste buds. I use 1/2 cup of lemon juice and one cup of sugar with 2 1/2 cups of water along with the lemon zest. I also use the sorbet spin instead of the ice cream setting. It's perfect for my taste. The Ninja Creami is now back in action. Thanks again CJ.
I grew up in Philly and moved to Washington and we have NO water ice shops out here.I’ve been trying to find a way to make it and I’m so glad I found your video! Gonna buy one of those machines tonight, thank you!
Oooooooh I can't WAIT to make your "summer in a cup"!!! This is one of my all time favorites- especially when it's so hot outside! Thank you for this!!! 😋
I cant wait to make this! Just bought mine yesterday and made pistachio gelato and will make strawberry yogurt today with a raspberry preserve or syrup. Italian ice is amazing!
Late to the Creami World... getting mine Tuesday. I will definitely try this and thank you for letting me know that I can make Italian ice without the Deluxe version.❤
@@maxinebaggott3650 it's been a month, but in case you're still wondering it's: 7 oz or 200 g (those should be right, but you could probably adjust to taste as well)
CJ, I have held off buying the Ninja Creami but if you keep putting out recipes I will have to break down and order one. Of course, I will order thru you. 👍
Nice work. Great appliance for making whipped Italian ice texture. Try some adult Italian ice flavors like 7/7 (Seagram's 7 Whiskey & 7 UP soft drink mix), maple bourbon pumpkin, brown butter rum apple cider (with or without cinnamon), pina colada rum pineapple, Kahlua liquor with coffee or chocolate (either white or dark), and other famous mixed drink flavors with seasonal fruits.
looks amazing but one question i thought you cant just use juice in the creami as it can brake the blade thanks for all you do with the ninja products luv your videos
Not sure about the original Creami, but the new one lets you use just juice, or like water with a packet of powdered mix…..then you use the Italian Ice setting.
Freezing only water is a problem for the Ninja Creami because frozen water has a higher hardness than what the creamerizer paddle (blade) can handle. Adding a cup of sugar, or fruit containing sugary juice, substantially lowers the freezing point, reducing the hardness of the water and making it safe for the paddle.
How did your Italian Ice with Keyo sweetener work out??? I want to use Allulose but do not want to risk breaking machine because it freezes like pure ice! TIA😊
Can Allulose Sweetener be substituted for sugar? I don’t want to break my Ninja Creami because the recipe is too much “water” & make it rock hard. HELP someone!!!!!!TIA

We have the Ninja Creami and love it!!!! Great video brother CJ!!!! Cheers to ya!!!!!
Right on! Thanks brother Troy! Cheers! 🥃

In Spain they sell Granizado which is similar. Looking forward to summer, when the ices really are a necessity!

Heck of an idea!
@@CookingWithCJ limoncello!
The cup measurements are confusing on the UK.
I saw your water was on 16 oz but how much is a cup of sugar please?

Awesome!
I put the lemons mix and the juice in the microwave will that hurt the taste
This is going to be my first recipe
Can you link not another cooking channel original video too?
Can you use Splenda?
I have no idea. I don’t really use Splenda.
Is there a sugar substitute
I haven’t tried one.
The deluxe has an italian ice setting. Should I use that for this recipe?
Yes I would
That looks easy peasy to prepare! Thanks for sharing! But I’m a try it with some keto sweetener and see how it comes out.
Right on! Let me know.

@@cindyament3224 Just let it thaw out a bit before putting in the machine.
I wish there was a way to make it with stevia. I tried that, and it wouldn’t spin. I was afraid it was going to break my creami
I'll Try It Thanks For Recipe
Thank you!!
Can you substitute the fresh lemon for lemon juice concentrate??
Yes I would think so. But fresh is so good! Lol
Hint - fresh lemon juice is going to make the finished product taste infinitely better!
great video man
Thanks!
Looks great? Difference between the Sorbet mode and ice cream mode? My base is in the freezer! Cheers CJ
Great Video. Can you please do a gelato ? And also a shake . Thanks
I’ll add it to the list!
Can you substitute for sugar for something else?
Not too sure. Maybe the stevia
Why no tap water CJ I’m in UK ?
The tap water in the US isn’t always the best. So I prefer bottled water.
now my mouth is watering for some lol
Thank you!!
This looks good. I have the creami and just do not use it enough
Thank you!!
No my wife will let me buy this. Plus been watching you for years and never knew you were Sicilian like me. 😂
Lol! Right on. And German. Hell of a mix
New here! Has ROOT BEER Italian ice ever been made with the Creami? Using any other sodas? Recipe?
Sorry I haven’t tried soda. Try “The Tasty Travelers” on UA-cam, she does a lot of creami recipes.
I prefer your natural style, the head-on presentation.
Yeah, just having fun on this one. Thanks!

I’m sorry I don’t know for sure. Try the channel The Tasty Travelers, they have a lot of creami content.
Any reason why you wouldn’t press the sorbet button?
I wanted it to be more like ice cream texture
In Philly we call that a Water Ice (I know it makes no sense, js)
Lol
Cookin with big sexy that’s who we’re cookin with.
Dang that’s SOOOO much sugar!
