    I agree, but stock boost on EVO 8,9 is 17-18 psi max and 13 psi at redline, producing ~280hp.
    Same engine 4G63 without turbochargers is able reach 180 hp naturally aspirated.
    Mr FQ320 have 22psi turbocharger, and FQ400 near 30+ psi, but FQ400 suffer from big turbo lag from 1500-4000 rpm, because, max torque is at high rpm.

    I am a former owner of a 1970 Boss 302.There have been a few attempts with
    the Boss name attached. This one has my attention. I love it!!!!!!!!!

    @SprecheDeutsch well lemme tell you something. i have an 11 5.0 with factory hood scoop, side scoops, rear quarter louers and a bigger spoiler...looks a lot more aggressive with the hood scope...even though it doesnt really make a dfference, it gives the car a whole other persona.
    and pls dnt try to teach me about mustangs.

    Ya know they have to do it. Bring back the Boss 429. Somewhere between the 302 and the Shelby. I figure with the GT/420- Boss302/444- the 429 natural aspirated 5.8 liter should make around 475-500. Seems like too big a gap from 444 to 650. Lets hope!!!!!!

    The paint job looks great and I like it despite the ugly ass garbage sweeper in the front. I know the old cars had it, but change is a good thing lol.

    If you look at the 32 valve, and 24 valve engines they really didn't gain much. The first Lincolns (1996) with 32 valves made 285HP IIRC. '99 Cobras made 320HP. My Mach 1 made 310HP from the factory. The 4.6 is capable of much more, but Ford never felt they had the need to really increase it until the Camaro came back with 425HP. The only time they made 400+HP power was through forced induction. This was Ford's decision though. The engines are capable without it.

    I'll agree that the Laguna Seca edition looks gaudy. I hate that paint job. However, the only reason the 2011 GT is a match for an M3 is because the Camaro came out. Ford had been riding the 4.6 for years without really gaining in the performance department. The 32 valve all aluminum 4.6 in my 2003 Mach 1 is a match for 2010 and back Mustangs of later vintage.
    Like I said. This edition was designed to be an M3 beater, but only because the 2011 GT was so close to begin with.

    Your talking about this edition correct? Well even if it already has beaten the time of an M3 it's still a 2012, and won't be out until then.
    I was writing about the regular GT model. Tests on race courses have already proven it a match for the current M3. Even though it was not originally designed for it. It has turned out to be a match for it. Which is why Ford is now pushing stuff like the Laguna Seca Edition.
    The basic Chassis of this Mustang started in '05. Now 6 years old.

    I was ready to sell my 07 GT for the new 11 5.0 but now glad I didn't, mommy like and mommy want, a BOSS period!!!!! 2-thumbs up!!! Straight from Ford: 440 HP 380 lb trq, revised camshafts, twin indepen variable camshaft timing, runners-in-the-box intake plenum, new pistons and crankshaft damper and high performance tune..... nice :)

    When the stock GT can keep up with an M3 at a race track (ones with turns no less!). Why do they need to change? It's taken years of development to refine the suspension to this level. Throwing it out the window when it's already that good makes no sense.

    Ford didn't build it to compete with the M3. They built it to beat the Camaro, and Challenger. However, when they found out that their car that cost half the price could. They saw no reason not to let people know.

    Not a bad looking car, but why did they plug the fog lamp openings with cheap dimpled plastic? Design a grille without the openings, or fit the damn fog lamps but don't plug them.

    If you want to talk horse power (you brought it up). The Shelby makes 550Hp, and costs way less than the Bimmer.
    Isn't the M3GTS like $170,000? Seems a bit steep for 440HP.

    @bykashka75 I've owned a 1965, 2001, and 2006 mustang and NEVER had major repair problems. You just have to learn to keep up with the minor repairs ie oil change, pressure washing engine, riding brakes down hill, ect. And I honestly can say there are more cars out there with a lot of hellish problems compared to Ford's models. Please don't talk shit about the car on a video about the car. And also state some facts and we'll have a real argument. "ITS FACTS NOT PERSON PREF" no you're wrong

On average an american car buyer will spend about $25,000 to $30,000 on a new stock issued car. $20,000 for a stock issued mustang is incredible (in my opinion)! You are stating no facts in your argument! All you said was your opinions. Like you said :It drives like shit," well I beg to differ, this bitch drives better then my ex wife's sex drive (which was insane lol)! And everything else that you said was still opinion.

    @bykashka75 A mustang boss 5.0 cost a hell of a lot more than 20 000 usd and it holds both the road and value al ot more than a more expensive bmw m3.Get you head out of your ass and stop saying stupidities ,that you dont like it is fine buit dont say things that are not true.Thwe car is faster than an m3 out handles and out brakes it all for a lot less money and i guarantee you it will hold value much better over time.

    I read an article yesterday stating that Ford has announced that in 2014 they will not continue to with the retro look any more. The Mustang will completely be redesigned, if this is true; I think it's a big mistake if they cut short the retro look for the Mustang. This is the only car {and Challenger) that pulled it off perfectly-IMO. It would suck if they stop it.

    Not to impressed. Take the California Special front and rear facia and spoiler, GT500 wheels, racing seats, and a bunch of BOSS 302 graphics, slightly tune the engine, and you've got a BOSS? Ok, i guess. I think they should have put in the time to make it more unique, instead of just taking parts from other mustangs.

    @SuperSaiyanJumpman There's rumor of a challenger SRT/10 using the Viper v10. And if not this year apparently, next year there is supposed to be a z28 Camaro again. Lets see if it happens though. Was supposed to be out for 2011 but I think it got kiboshed.

    Why are you getting all defensive just chill my man. I live in Southern California so 911's are a dime a dozen down here so to me they're nothing impressive and let's be honest the shape of the car hasn't really changed that much over the decades. They're still amazing cars but this Mustang is by no means "a piece of shit." Ford has come a long way in fixing its mistakes and this car makes up for some of those. It has character written all over it and will be worth quite a lot in the future.

    The Mustang is not shit. Any car company that produces shit goes out of business. Period. Ford is a producer of cars for the average car segment in large volumes, while Porsche produces cars for the high quality segment market in small numbers. So it's unfair for you compare big apples with little oranges. Straight line? Well, lets have a race. Me in my Australian made Ford Falcon GT R-Spec (0-100km/h in 4.5 seconds) with Laguna Seca colours vs your 911 at Calder Raceway.

Though the dodge challenger can carry adults, and go fairly fast while doing it, the boss is the true sports car, while getting low 12 second, and high 11 second pass times, on the strip, and beating figure five, and figure six supercars on the track. Your chally's nice, but not good enough for a stang, especially since the fastest ford it can come close to is the mustang gt.

    @MrNonzerogrunt it wasn't a GT350 engine I assure you....GT350's came with K code HI-PO 289's until 1969 when Carrol started stuffing big-bad 351's in them...have a machine shop measure the stroke of the crankshaft (all 302's and 289's share the same bore) all 289's have a 2.87 inch stroke crank, all 302's have a 3.00 inch crank. BUT to answer your question, a K code 289 found in a Shelby GT350 was rated at 306 BHP and 312 Ft-Lbs of torque, and hp isn't IN an engine, it's produced BY an engine..

    @bykashka75 Of coarse it's a mustang, but there are different variations, with different motors, and options, this creates diversity, thus allowing more people to get exactly what they want. Also, don't act like since the boss is a mustang it sucks, since many other people would buy a v6 mustang, just because it's a mustang. As a matter of fact, if I had a choice between a lamborgini murcialago, and a mustang gt, I would take the lambo, sell it, and then get the stang of my dreams.

    @bykashka75 american cars go from crappy cobalts to top notch vipers (fastest lap on U.S. top gear track...other names on list: lambo, porsche, etc.), ford GTs, and corvettes that beat out supercars in both specs and performance. so there ya go, america isn't exploding with supercars, but we have them. europe IS exploding with supercars, but they have crap cars too. also, europe is group of countries, while the U.S. is only one, that means a lot less variety in the U.S.

    @bykashka75 Euro supercars eat gas...the ferrari enzo has an average fuel economy of 8mpg.mustangs are in the mid20s. muscle cars are pretty much the usa's automotive trademark.the old ones are as classic and collectable as the rare ferrari's.with assembley lines, muscle cars are getting lower in quality HOWEVER,it's cars like this Boss 302 that are reinventing the classics.AND there are bad euro cars, not all are supercars. muscle cars are affordable power,while euro supercars are impractical.

    @bykashka75 flaw:high end; as referring to the more expensive range of the spectrum. mustangs don't look the coolest, (with stock parts, at least...) but they have more power than a lotus exige which is about $20,000 more (@awesomejp). if you're from america, then have some pride in american muscle cars. they might not have fancy onboard computers and stuff, but that's because THEY AREN'T MEANT TO BE RACED IN THE LE MANS!!!!!!!!

    @608gamer07 If they don't have brain damage like they did in the SRT-8 vs GT-350 comparo it will be a good article. The BOSS 302 is posting some faster 1/4 mile times, trap speeds and lap times than the base Vette and the GS. The weird part is the BOSS only has an 8 advertised HP advantage over the much lighter Vette. It starts to make sense when you see some dyno results. The BOSS 5.0 puts around 416 to the wheels. I think that translates to 470ish flywheel HP.

    @Revenger515 OHHHHH and FYI your precious GT and 302 BOSS still cant beat a Pontiac G8 GXP so I would watch what you say before you have to be corrected. you have to come with terms that it does not matter what ford will produce you will find a GM vehicle that cant beat it just plain fact. and another thing GM produces more V6 vehicles rated about 28mpg then any other car manufacturer. FACT. mustang makes 6 different models of the same vehicle 6 different mustangs? LOL chevy makes 2 camaros!

    Respond to this video... yeah mustang fan boys must be super exited finally being able to say they don't need a blower to keep up with a camaro. I'm happy for ford, they finally grabbed there balls. to bad it took them 20 years after the death of the foxbody to even compete stock to stock with a camaro or firebird without having to use a 8psi blower. Im not hating IM happy for ford. only the 302 boss and gt are worth a shit all the other models get beat by the hennessey camaro and firebreather

I guess ford was tired of the twenty year ass kicking it was getting and finally got it right congrats ford for finally grabbing your balls and sticking it to GM. the last worth while mustang was the foxbody but when the iroc-z came out it was all down hill until 2012 Hell yeah go ford YAY!!!

    @Schinanigans and that is a v10 egine ford makes this amazing thing called a ford gt it has around 550 horspower and is only an 8 cylinder... and the shelby gt500 supersnake.. has 728 horsepower stock.. and thats also only an 8 cylinder.. chevy is horrible with there cars... ford knows whats up and btw the gt1000 has 1029 horsepower.. stock and is also only a 5.7 liter v8 chevy wuld have make a a v12 in order to achieve that kind of horspower

    Note to self: When buying a car, make car the back seats are removed and replaced with a structural brace
    -If wife complains simply say the back seats are taken out in favor of "safety purposes"
    sidenotes:
    *benefits of missing back seats, less relatives to haul around on a weekend trip
    *less annoying questions regarding the path one is taking on the highway to get to point b
    *no more backseat driving from in laws
    Conclusion: buy a track ready car for piece of mind during the holidays

    Here in Europe Lancers EVO are expensive. I'm not big fun or lover of EVO cars, but for rally and hill climb they do great job. Used EVO's usually are 30-40% cheaper than new one. Also service intervals on EVO 8 of one my buddy is 10,000 miles or 16,000 km (that include all filters, and liquids only). Turbocharger needs service every 50,000 km or ~30,000 miles on standard version with 280hp.

    The BOSS isn't a "sports car" it's a muscle car. The Ford GT IS a "true" supercar, it's base numbers are the same as or nearly the same as the Spirra and the last GT was produced when? 4 years ago?
    And yes, the Genesis is shitty. Both the sedan and coupe have really nice numbers, they are both however as original as a fart joke. If they would have come out with some original design language instead of ripping off the Germans and Japanese I might have shown some respect.

    @juanlozanoism I'll have to take a look at them. If its a no-compromise sports car, on the lines of a Lotus Exige-S, cool deal. I'm not a fan of the Boss 302 paint/stripe/highlight colors, too "Look at me!" for my taste. But give the Mustang some credit for what it is- it is a very capable performance car you can live w/everyday and can get into for under $30K. They are kinda like a Corvette in that way;like some of the models alot, great car, but the typical owner is a D-bag

    @juanlozanoism how much is a Spirra EX? Are they a standard production car, made en mass? Can they be used year round in places such as Ottawa, Los Angeles, Moscow? If not, just throwing out a vehicle that is not in the same category is not a valid comparison. Not to bust on you or anybody else nuts or what you like-but why not compare the flying speed of an SR-71 at 100,000 feet to my lawn tractor? See Motor Trends video on the GT vs. the M3. Ford is doing well for its market place

    @prescher69 While I agree the Mustang wasn't a muscle car (a pony car is more like it), I wouldn't really consider it a luxury car either. It's a bit too small to meet the definition of luxury in that era. Something like the B-body Dodge Charger would fit the definition of a luxury car. Yes, it did come with luxury options, but they were just that- options, just as the "Hi-Po" V8s were an option over the Thriftpower 6. I guess it's really up to the driver at that point whether it is or not.

    @dreamthea1 i wouldnt get a v6 mustang,but i would defidently take 1 if it was free(why not..free car i'll take that any day)but 2 me its like "buy a v8 or buy a Honda"...i didnt buy my mustang 4 comfort and fuel economy,but yea love my car i really didnt no how awesomely built these cars were-just took a drive 2 Atlanta 1 day and seen it displayed in front of Ford dealership and said "Holy shit that looks wicked"ha,and the rest was history.u can get 1 @ a fair price now or buy new GT there nice

    What ford should have done is yes benchmark the M3, but don't make it some glorified piece of art (which it really isnt especially to mustang fanbois) by boasting that they just beat its time around a track. The current GT uses an aluminum block which is why it is finally able to be competitive. But now for this Boss or L.S. edition they basically took an M3 apart and scratched their heads then built the L.S. edition.

    Chevy needs to pick the pace up with the Camaro, there are going to be so many new mustang models on the market soon, I'm a Corvette guy, i appreciate all 3 of the big 3's muscle car offerings, but the new mustangs are pretty sick. But honestly I would rather have the top and rims in black, the red looks like its straight up plastic... This and the new GT350 are both dirty cars however and I would pick one up in a heartbeat :)

    @sadiebritney its been awhile since i did my home work but if not mistaken in 68 it wasnt even a boss, it was still the slightly slimmer, shorter body, not to mention in 69 was the 1st yr of the boss 302 obviously there was bugs to work out, and the 1970 did get back on top if not mistaken. and in the 1970s Z/28 vs. boss 302 winner almost always decided based on drivers edge because of how good both were

    i don't know why people argue over which is car is faster ,he with the most money has the fastest car.american muscle is cool.i was going to buy a camaro based on looks but when i test drove the mustang and camaro the stang felt better to drive.blind spots smalle,r material quality felt better, and did'nt look as gappy.i was against buying a stang but i did after i drove it.in all muscle cars look good.if you don't own one or have'nt driven one don't comment

    @MrStangaroo I doubt it because the piece actually serves a purpose. When you look at the Laguna Seca's underbody compared to the regular Boss' it is almost completely covered by a full-length underbody diffuser. The splitter on this car is actually a 3-4 foot long piece connected to the main undercarriage shielding, it's similar to the splitters used on the Black Series line, for instance.

    @clm5150 WRONG! The boss has fully adjustable suspension, Quad exhaust, 3.73 gears LSD with carbon fiber plates, Fully forge engine, 302R intake and runners, aggressive front splitter, optional recaro seats, unique wheels and tires. Laguna Seca models have, rear seat delete, X brace roll cage, stiffer suspension, 302R front splitter, Torsen LSD(optional in Boss), recaro seats(optional in Boss) and cooling brake ducts.

    @LiamAndrew11 it would look better with a true red but they went with a half orange half red blend. I agree, but a true Boss 302 is that burnt Ford orange with a black stripe colors. Not this black with orange colors. Either way I am pretty sure we wont be the drivers of this car anytime soon since the laguna seca package isnt street legal.

    I'm American and I know this car looks stupid a shit. The challenger and camaro are much more reliable although arguably not as fun. I'd take a German high performance car any day over either of the cars I've mentioned since they handle better. For every day driving, handling is what you need most in a car

    @bykashka75 Dude, there are videos of euro cars that got ripped to shreads in accidents, they don't sound safe themselves. The mustang is way safer, and it was built to combine great performance, with good fuel efficiancy, not to be your eye candy. Oh and keep talking shit about cars you'll never have, we all know you probably drive honda ricer shit.

    @Schinanigans the z06 is Chevy's super car u wanna compare Supercar's Ford gt will whoop a z06 and a zr1 ass any day and the Camaro couldn't touch this thing on the drag strip or the on tracks like silverstone better suspension better brakes better gearbox better tires plus the mustang is more practicable.

    @xbox360paintballer to be honest, yeah, evo is without a doubt a lot faster, but mustang also is not slowest of cars, we can agree on that i guess :) .. and for me the look of the car is more important than the actual speed, coz how many times will you get the chance of really pushing the evo (or any other sports car) to the limits on the streets? thats why its mustang for me.

    Let's clear this up for you.
    Track car used at the track to blow the doors of more expensive cars(Mustang)= not rice
    car that that looks fast but it's not, neither at the track or the street = RICE.

    @KoryStonehouse your $70K is CDN? MSRP from Ford is $41K for the base boss 302. I know of 2 in the states that have gone for $55K. Still $14K over MSRP, So who sets that price, the DEALER!! Is called ADM and the independant dealer does the mark up, Not Ford or the consumer cause they know the richer people will pay.,

    the new ZL1 (when it comes out) is gonna eat this thing along with the gt500. they're all really nice cars, dont get me wrong, but im not liking the paint on this 302 and the brakes are pretty small. only 4 pistons in the front when the ZL1 has 6... but what ever. all nice cars. lets whoop up on dodge together. wtf do they have to compete with these?? haha

    @IMAJOINININFANTRY I agree it has some rice in the paint, you just have to remember most manufactures have a lot of different looks for just one vehicle he it, stance, stylings, motor options ect. just go threw some other videos and you can see a big difference from this cars looks to the next. Still a sexy car.

    Yes, and the GTS is Exclusive with limited production. Why would Ford build this AND brag that it beats a regular m3 which they also make in a daddy friendly four door version. I know the history of this car, but for them to say it will not be produced until it beats the M3's time at Laguna Seca is really saying a lot about that now four year old bimmer.

    So let me get this straight ford wants to go after the M3 with this?? When BMW already has an M3 with 440HP (which is about what the Boss has) called the M3GTS
    Another case of a company going after a bimmer thats 3 or more years old with more HP and torque and BRAGGING about it like it's the best thing since sliced cheese!!!

    @dreamthea1 yea that would defidently look a lot better...like i said i like the color combo, but the way they got it just looks riced out (think they tried to hard), but other then that i think the car looks pretty good although im still in love with my 03 Cobra (much to the disapproval of my wife)......woman just dont understand

    ford had the tunnel port 302 race only for 68 .but it was not in the production car .this motor could not stand up to the demand of racing . donahue won 8 out of 12 trans -am races that year .1969 the penske team won 8 out of 12 -donahue 6 -buckman 2.but ford does not say a word about that when brag about there new boss 302

    I agree that the paint scheme is a mess. The red insert on the front grill is AWFUL. But also, the "C" stripes on the side are wrong. Do it like the original! That said, this is the most awesome piece of wheeled machinery ever. (I suppose some idiot is going to complain that a $250,000 supercar is better.)

    @mtross70 BMW is incredibly overrated. Look at the new Porsche with the new Turbo technology. Yeah I'll admit, Ford is playing catchup. But things will change in 5 years once the American automobile industry is more healthy. Plus a total mustang overhaul in 2014 for the 50th anniversary.
    Anyways, as a consumer, it's all good. Healthy competition = better products for us.

    this is a perfect example of what americans can do when their heads aren't up their ass'. not so much forcusing on huge numbers and actuelly building there cars to be lighter weight and more balanced so not only can you kick ass in a straight line but in a corner too.

    @Marshmallowrex smokes it. it was either car and driver or motor trend that did a comparo. 302 shot through the corners and the zl1 was quick... but not as quick. this is the first mustang ive ever really liked. faster around laguna seca than an r8. hell... yes...

    @ThatLonelyLoner dno i think its bout £45,000 but one down side to gettin that much power out of a little 2.0l
    engine is you have to get them reserviced every 2000 miles.
    any way all my point was is that they could get more power out of those beasty engines for there size.

    @ThatLonelyLoner yes actualy a mitsabushi evo 10 pro tuned has a 2.0 liter engine and it producess 510 horse power and not even a lamboginy gilardo gets near them btw i meant no disraspect becuse mustangs are the ultimate car to own and i hope i can get one one day

    I would like to see this car in action at Laguna Seca. What is the diff between this and normal Boss 302? I have to hand it to Ford, with the Boss series and the GT500, plus the F-150 Raptor, they are really pushing the performance envelope for stock vehicles like no other car company.
