Wow, someone finally understands the "offended by everything" is a shot at the younger generations. Not him saying he is actually like that.
The whole song is about being an old dog who knows the tricks - the part he had to go back for says kids, I hope you grow up into your ideals and keep fighting for real in the streets and not just online. Learn to swing a blunt object, take your opportune attacks on soft targets, run when you have to, and stitch wounds after.

Trust, the lines i didn't get, or thought unimportant for YEARS, will one day, decade later, hit me in a way that makes it the most moving thing in the song. Now whenever i hear a line i don't get, i know it's a hidden treasure i'll get so much from someday. his art is CRAZY like that. From what I understand, his grandparents were Lithuanian immigrants, and I’m guessing his parents were teenagers when they came over. But that’s a whole lot of assumptions based on very little verifiable information
