When this song came out, it became the 2nd biggest song in history (after White Christmas). You can't imagine how huge this song was then. It was everywhere all the time. Bryan has about 15 big songs. Maybe 20.
The song was so huge, I don't think people could appreciate it if they didn't live through it. It was played all the time on every radio station
From the movie Robin Hood:Prince of thieves.
Yeah it was huge on MTV and was another song-movie combo which was a popular thing at the time. This one was paired with Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves. Other similar pairings were Young Guns II with Wanted Dead or Alive and Terminator 2 with You Could Be Mine.
He's also a great photographer! He photographed Queen Elizabeth & 1 pic was used as a postage stamp. He's also photographed many artists & stars, with his work featured in magazines & album covers. And he's also published 2 books on wounded war vets & homeless, with proceeds benefiting charities supporting them.
@@pistonburner6448 Wasnt Young Guns II, Blaze of Glory?
Great song! Bryan Adams is a Canadian singer songwriter from the 80's-90's. He is known for his ballads & he has a unique raspy voice. Bryan has had so many hits such as "Summer Of '69", "Cuts Like a Knife", "Straight From The Heart", "Run To You", "Have You Ever Really Loved A Woman?", "Heaven", "Can't Stop This Thing We Started", "Thought I'd Died & Gone To Heaven", "Please Forgive Me", "All For Love" etc. He has won a lot of awards for his music.
Yeah you guys should listen to let it be and summer of 69.
The song was also in the movie Robin Hood. Beautiful Song ❤️❤️
Such a great movie
Such an amazing movie and song!
@@cyron41 yes it was
Yeah,what a great combo
The name of the movie is actually the name of the album where this song is in.
Robin Hood prince of Thieves 1991 with Kevin Costner Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio Alan Rickman Christian Slater I bought this on VHS as soon as it was available don't know how many times I watched it. Sean Connery just for a moment at the very end in the wedding. This song / video played in the end credits. Nothing better nothing finer.
One of the best love balladeers of his time. Hit song after hit song.
"Summer of 69" is a great song. That's the song I always thought was his biggest hit. He also sang "Have You Ever Really Loved a Woman," also good. He also sings a song with Tina Turner. You might want to check that one out. o
My wife and think this IS the greatest love song. It was our bride and groom dance at our wedding all the way back in 1992.
The song was EVERYBODY'S bride and groom dance in 1992.
It was thee wedding song in the 90s and maybe 2000s
This song was #1 *everywhere* when we got married, so it has a special place in our hearts. ❤❤
I saw Brian Adam's with my daughter. He was her absolute favorite singer.. I remember she was disappointed because she couldn't get tickets. But, Old Dad came thru with front row tickets! I think after that moment Dad became a hero!..... Lol. Great Concert! Bryan adams killed it! A moment with my daughter I'll never forget!
If you want Bryan Adams in full love ballad mode check out Have You Ever Really Loved A Woman.
I’ve listened to this song since its inception. Always anticipate the guitar solo! Still to this day get chills. One of the greatest songs ever!❤ Ronnie East Tennessee USA
you must listen to have you ever really loved a woman, such a beautiful song.
Bryan Adams "Run to You" should be your next listen
All For Love a song sung by Bryan Adams, Rod Stewart and Sting from the Police is a great song and video.
Beautiful song there, and no playback, one of the greatest artists of our time, in my opinion.
Bryan Adams, great Canadian Solo Artist for 40 yrs
Just gotta love Keith Scott's understated guitar playing... It's not about how many tones you play or how fast... but it's about playing the right tones... and with the right feeling of course.
Hey Phil & Sam, here's one of his earlier hit songs, if interested. "Bryan Adams - Summer Of 69' (Official Music Video)" (channel: Brian Adams) --This song was the fourth single on their fourth studio album "Reckless" released in 1985. Great reaction, guys as always enjoyed rocking with you. Thanks for sharing
This is from “Robin Hood Prince of Thieves” with an absolutely stacked cast Kevin Costner, Morgan Freeman, Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio, Christian Slater, Alan Rickman, and a uncredited cameo by Sean Connery at the end of the movie.
The first time I saw Bryan was when he was playing solo and in a student lounge at a technical college. The next time was in a hockey arena with 20K screaming fans all singing along. He’s a great artist with a unique voice and I’d see him again in a hot minute!
Love Bryan ! My favorites are Heaven and do I have to say the words
He was at number 1 in England for a minimum of 16 weeks straight with this song from Prince of Thieves
I’m pretty sure I have danced to this at every school dance and wedding I have ever been to. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Bryan was one of the biggest artists to come out of the 80s. And Canada.
I agree with the biggest artist but not the most famous person from the 80s. There are 2 guys that I think I’d put ahead of him. A guy named Wayne Gretzky, he was a pretty good little hockey player, lol. However, #1 by far was Terry Fox.
It's amazing how a country with such a low population compared to its size has put out some of the greatest musicians the world has seen. Bryan Adams, Celine Dion, Shania Twain, KD Lang, Jeff Healey, Anne Murray, Alanis Morrisette, Gordon Lightfoot, and so many more.
Got to watch all for love with Bryan, sting. And rod Stewart.he also has another live at wembley "Heaven" where he starts to sing and the crowd sings for him!
I saw Bryan 40 years ago, on his "Cuts Like a Knife" tour, when he opened for Journey on their "Frontiers" tour in May of 1983.
1981 Worcester Centrum, Worcester Massachusetts - Bryan Adams backs up Journey with Steve Perry. Talk about a billing.
Future hall of famer. Such wonderful singer, musician, and song writer with endless hits. His concerts today are still amazing and he still sounds electric. Thanks for sharing this one, sooooooo many more to choose from and listen to. Enjoy…
On the Billboard Hot 100 Chart, Bryan was dubbed "The King Of The #1 Movie Soundtrack Songs" as only 4 songs would hit #1 and every one was featured on a movie soundtrack.
His first, "Heaven" originally appeared on "A Night In Heaven" soundtrack. This one, which was the biggest hit of his career, "(Everything I Do) I Do It For You" appeared on "Robin Hood: Prince Of Thieves" soundtrack. It would spend 7 consecutive weeks at #1 (the first song in more than 6 years to spend more than 5 weeks at the top) in 1997 and finished as the #1 song of 1991.
He would record with Sting & Rod Stewart with "All For Love" from the "The Three Musketeers" soundtrack and then a couple of years later, his final #1 song, "Have You Really Ever Loved A Woman" appeared on "Don Juan DeMarco."
The most underrated guitarist of all time....Keith Scott
Agreed. He is so good!
Just perfection. It's not about how many tones or how fast you play. It's about playing the right tones... and with the right feeling of course.
I was a huge Bryan Adams’ fan. I instantly fell in love with his voice when I heard him first time in ‘93. I was 14 and it was his hit song Please Forgive Me. I since have been to several of his concerts and even met him and his guitarist Keith in person one snowy night after his concert. He’a a nice and humble person and just really loves his music. What’s amazing is that he still sounds almost exactly as back then. He recently had a great performance in Royal Albert Hall in London. And it’s going to be released as record as well. You can check the performance on his channel and you’ll see he still sounds just as good!
I remember listening to this concert in Wembley live on the radio in summer. It was August if I’m not wrong and I was recording on a cassette. I had seen him live for the first time that same summer just few months before so I remember it clearly. Lots of memories 😊
That’s the old Wembley,it’s been rebuilt since then with the showpiece light arch over the whole stadium.
Was at live aid,Springsteen,Queen in ‘86,the Stax revue way back in the very early 70’s,Wembley is massive in every way.
I don't know if he specifically wrote this for the movie soundtrack of Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves. You should get to know more top Canadian voices, a good video is the African famine relief song "Tears are not enough" by Canadian super group "Northern Lights"
This was written for Kevin Costner's movie Robin hood. That's why it has the romantic overtones to it it's about him and lady marion😊
He was born in Kingston, Ontario in 1959.
Bryan Adams knew what he was talking about!!
1991.......I think.....no other song ever got released that year because this just obliterated everything else..16 weeks or something stupid at No 1 when people paid attention to the charts. So refreshing to see a massive crowd and no phones 😊😊😊
Nov 5, 1959 Kingston Ontario Canada is where he was born
The Canadian Bruce Springsteen! He was huge when I was in high school with hits like Summer of '69 and Heaven. His duet it's only love with Tina Turner was amazing also. You really can't go wrong with anything Bryan Adams.
Back when MTV (US) and MuchMusic (Canada) use to play actual music videos this song’s video was to Prince of Thieves movie and it was such an amazing movie. Unfortunately, for whatever reason, they have erased that video to ever be released again. I actually went to the same high school as Bryan Adams…long after he left. Apparently he only went there in grade 9 and left for BC but he always considers Ottawa as home and he was the first person to perform in the Palladium (now called CTC) which is where the Ottawa Senators NHL team plays. I can’t begin to tell you how huge he was in 1991, when this song was released. By that time he had already made some classics like Summer of 69, Cuts Like A Knife, among others.
The Canadian Big 3 are Bryan Adams, Rush, and Shania Twain
100 subscribers, see what the music of my generation brought you . Its the best music ever made. Thanks for this classic song !
Such an underrated singer 🙏
This song was written for the soundtrack of the film Robin Hood Prince of Thieves
I love this version of the song. On the radio version he doesn’t do that last instrumental part. But it’s on the album.
Another Canadian you should hit is Dan Hill - Sometimes when we touch, another great love song, it was on BMI's top 100 songs of the century list
This song and Heaven gave me so much.... I don't know, hope? Sounds silly maybe, but when I was down these songs brought me joy. 🤩For me he's one of the greatest.
Bryan Adams, and imo, Bon Jovi, are both masters of epic love songs
Some examples of Bryan Adams besides this one - Have you ever really loved a woman, Cloud number nine, Heaven, Straight from the heart, Do I have to say the words
Bon Jovi - Bed of Roses, Always, Diamond ring, All bout lovin you, You had me from hello, In these arms, Thank you for loving me
❤🇬🇧 This song was at 'Number_One' in the singles chart in the UK for _FOUR_MONTHS_STRAIGHT_❤🏴🇬🇧♥️
Heaven, will always be my favourite.
Saw Bryan Adams open for Journey in 1983 in Massachusetts, amazing concert. Try out CMT Crossroads with Bryan Adams and Jason Aldean, really good!
I absolutely love ❤this song and his voice! Thanks for playing this 👍
There is a scene in "Robinhood: Prince of Thieves" when Robin asks the Maid Marian to take a message back to Kng Richard. Robin asks; "Will you do it for your king?" and Marian replys "No. I will do it for You." That was the inspiration of this.
I seem to recall it was number 1 here in the UK for about 7 years……😂😂😂
You definitely need to go down this rabbit hole. He has got so many incredible songs. Cuss like a nice, Run To You, Can’t Stop This Thing We Started, please forgive me
This song was also the Soundtrack for the Movie Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves starring Kevin Costner. The movie came out in 1988.
Thanks Hey we like your perspective bless you hope for the best You Guy's always blow me away RESPECT DON'T CARE WHERE HE WAS BORN What's important is he was bless you all❤🙏👍🌟💯
close my eyes and I'm instantly 18, again. powerful song.
One of the most beautiful songs ever written and his voice is so georgious. This is the music I grew up on.❤Thank God ❤😂
Probably my favorite song of his and I have heard it a million time but that cold open with no music gave me chills. There are some unplugged videos of him and they are good.
This song is on the Robin Hood Prince Of Thieves movie soundtrack . You guys should check out the song All For Love from the 3Muskateers movie soundtrack . That song is Bryan Adams , Rod Stewart & Sting .
Saw him the other day in concert and it's a fantastic show. He still sounds excellent. The best about the live show is that much of the last part of this song is the concert version and not the recorded version.
He is still out there performing and his voice is still just as great as ever.
You can check out some of his new videos from his last tour.
They are great.
We love Bryan.
Thanks for sharing.
I love the song and this and Lionel Ritchie Truly are my favorites.
Congratulations on 100k
Thanks!
I saw him open for John Cougar in the 80's. Excellent concert!!
This song was from the film 'Robin Hood Prince of Thieves' and spent 16 weeks at number one in the UK charts. The longest number one ever in the UK.
and no phones/ pure presence..
I was 14 years old when this song came out.
🔥🔥🔥🔥
This song was number 1 at weddings in the 90s and everyone played it
In 1999 this song went to number one in the UK charts and stayed there for a record breaking 16 weeks.
I remember seeing Bryan being interviewed about this song. It was in the soundtrack for the movie Robin Hood Prince of Thieves with Kevin Costner. When he sent it in, nobody liked it and they put it in the credits, but he had the last laugh because the song did way better than the movie.
was the biggest name for a few years. . .great days...
Great Canadian artist 🇨🇦
Bryan Adams is huge even down here in the Deep South I'd like to see your reaction to another great Canadian artist by the name of Alannah Myles in the song Black Velvet another huge hit down here we know Canadians can rock out but they got a lot of Kick Ass volunteers out there too and she literally drips with honey
Bryan Adams, born in Kingston Ontario, moved to Toronto, Then moved to the Vancouver BC area, Joined rock group Sweeny Todd at 16 Years old before starting his solo career.
This song is the definition of a power ballad 😄
And the guitar solo….outstanding !!
For many of us this is the moment We became Bryan Adams!!!
Congratulations for the 100k subs!
Thanks! 😃
I love Bryan Adams he's one of my favorites has been for a long time
Another great review guys !
One of my favorite artists and favorite songs of all time. It was my wedding song.
As a singer in a former life a cold acapella open like this song is very difficult to do.
This song was our song, my last wife and myself. Even though she sunk a knife in my back, twisted it around and then left me figuratively bleeding out on the floor I would still rush to her aid if her life was in danger. She dissolved our marriage with the words I still love you but don't want to be married anymore. It all stemmed from her family not liking me as I wasn't a doctor or lawyer. Funny thing, neither were any of them.
Love it love it love it!!!! And have you done Jackson Browne😊 official video for “THE LOAD OUT/STAY” combination song!
Congrats on 100,000 subscribers.
Thank you!
Bryan Adam’s had great songs! I remember them when I was in High school mostly!❤❤
Oh canada 🇨🇦!!
Gongratulations for the 100K. Keep up the good work 🤘
Thanks! Will do!
The song is beautiful but the piano and guitar playing is absolutely awesome
he went to school in ottawa at bell high school, and he makes a point of always playing in ottawa
How about checking out some of Richard Marx's ballads? I'd recommend Right Here Waiting, a classic from the late eighties. He'd originally written the song for Barbra Streisand on request, but ended up recording it himself and it became a smash hit.
Kingston Ontario
You guys also need to check out Please Forgive Me, Simmer of ‘69, an EPIC live performance of It’s Only Love (he sings with Tina Turner) and Have You Ever Really Loved a Woman? Which is from the movie Don Juan DeMarco starring Marlon Brando, Jonny Depp and Faye Dunaway. You should check out the movie sometime too.
Please forgive me is my favorite song by him
This song was so big in the UK it was at Number 1 forever always reminds me of my first love ❤
Great job as always, both of you. Should definitely check out Bryan Adams with Tina Turner live in a duet called 'It's Only Love". It is great!!!
Robiiiiinnnn!
You have to listen to heaven from the same concert! The best!
