I just want to say thank you your tutorials are very real real life real way the whole way through. You can show the ups and downs of the DIY struggle, so that when we approach a problem when we do our projects, we know how to fix them and know that we’re not alone with the struggle number two I love watching her tutorials for the main reason of the humour you mix humour with real life struggle, well giving great information and not only how to save money and still make our homes look beautiful but to enjoy life for what it is cape struggling my friend thank you again
I haven' t tried it, but I think I'd like to use 4 smaller frames to make a lantern for an LED candle, or maybe something using a push light. I really like your results!
I absolutely love it...I also wanted to let you know I enjoy watching you craft your super down to earth and just real...and your crafts and diys are beautiful ❤️❤️ so thank you
It's it ok for me to say, I enjoy your silliness because when I'm crafting, I am silly too. The only thing is I don't have anyone to laugh with me. Lol 😆 🤣 😂 😹 😆 🤣 😂 😹
Hi Brandi, I have made stained glass-look pictures by painting the face of the picture with Modpodge, letting it dry completely then soaking it in water and rubbing off the back until the image is transparent then using Modpodge to adhere it to the glass. You can make some really pretty suncatchers that way or you can add it to the glass of a lantern for a really pretty glow. Painting on 3 or more layers of Modpodge on the image then soaking it in water has worked the best for me. I hope this gives you some ideas.
Thank you. As for me I liked it better with just the rose alone and the one butterfly on the top left. Reason is less cluttered looking and more focus on the main object. Plus a pleasing simpleness.
Step by step is my best way to learn. Some videos are so fast I can’t keep up so end up scrolling back a dozen times and that drives me mad. Thanks for a video every learner can follow.
i really appreciate your personality coming through in your tutorials. i find a lot of folks annoying to watch and as if i wouldl never want to hang out with them in real life. thanks for being interesting, informative and quirky! :)
Its taken me a long time to get comfortable like this. If you want a good laugh go back to a few of my original videos... I'm way more reserved and monotone..lol I appreciate your kindness Cpage!
It really turned out beautiful! You are such a joy to watch! I always laugh. I can relate I am on the struggle bus everyday with something! Lol thank you for sharing your ideas and talent with us!❤️
this was the first video of yours that I've watched and I want to tell you that I really like your method and your delivery. Your step by step delivery makes things easy. I like your little pop up thingies that tell us how you are feeling - and your casual style - your teaching style fits my particular learning style perfectly. I subscribed.
I wish I could give u pointers, but I’m learning from you! Question: I noticed that all UA-cam creators mention, like all the time, “do what u like”. Is that to prevent liabilities? Btw, the ‘frosted’ glass demo turned out beautifully! Ur so fun to watch. Byeee
No. Because, in reality it's a persons choice to do whatever. I also have a disclaimer in every description box for my self. But, I say do what you like because I've gotten so much negative comments on peoples criticism of colors, crafts, just all the things. So, I like to say get inspired from what I show you and then remix it into your own version. I hope that helps.
Brandi, I was having trouble trying to understand what it was supposed to look like.. Well I loved your outcome! You know your Mom was picking at you b/c you gave her a hard time about not watching your hack video!! LOL I would love to see more ideas with this application! Thanks for all you do FOR US!
Sandie... lol omg this made me laugh. If you can read the live chat, Kathy was like.. whats the point of this... lol and as I am explaining it then it showed the result, she was like NEVER MIND I SEE IT... i love it.. or however she said it.. I was laughing so hard, Because thats how i felt the first time I seen it. someone was showing step by step pictures. I was like ok.... and... then i seen the last one and was LIKE OHHHH MY GOSH I LOVE THIS...lol
This is gorgeous. I Love your slow videos, in this day of speeded up videos, which leaves me a bit at sea..... I would love to see a double sided glass one done by you.
For years I was an activity director at a nursing home. My residents loved doing stained glass projects. Dollar store frame with only one pane of glass. The residents would choose their project, birds, flowers, animals. Would trace on the back side in black, thick, stain glass around the picture they chose. Blacking the pertinent lines so they could see the picture themselves. (Simple ones) And also draw for them the lines to join the picture to the frame. After dry they used stain glass paint to color as they wanted. Beautiful. Would put frame on and a hanger so they could be hung in the window. They loved them and their families had a keepsake they could cherish.
I have painted pet portraits on glass using a floating frame. And the under piece of glass, after painting the portrait, I spray painted the back of the glass it’s a colored sea glass/ frosted spray paint for a background.
I love it…I’m going to try that tomorrow. I wonder what a few drops of chalk paint added would produce? I’m collecting crafts to do with seniors in a personal care home that don’t require hot glue or too much dexterity. Everybody loves stickers and glue regardless of age!
A simple project that creates a beautiful finished piece! The flowers you used are beautiful. If you did this to create a suncatcher, hanging in a window from a chain and suction cup, do you know if the sun would soften or distort the Mod Podge? Thanks
This was beautiful and looked like so much fun!! Ty Brandi! I always love when your teaching… I love that you take your time and give multiple options. I so appreciate you!💕
It was fun, I really enjoyed this very much Maria! I appreciate you so much for writing this. It really helps me grow and means the world to me that these kinda videos help you!
I have not but it seems to be one of the most popular suggestions and people are asking for more ideas with this, so I am writing everything down. I will hopefully get another tutorial out by the end of the month showing a bunch of ways to do this. Let me know how it works!
I love IOD Vicky! I know that was beautiful! THANK YOU for this idea! I really hope people are looking at these comments because so many have awesome ideas!
So beautiful! I love it and the fact you are making history with me in your audience. Thank you for sharing a piece of your heart with me. Love ya and I have missed you…❤❤❤
Add the coloring to the back with food coloring. I did a follow up to this. I called it fake stained glass because the mod podge group I see it in was calling it that but totally see adding color makes it more so. I hope that tip helps
Brandi, did you know Home Depot sells glass? It might be cheaper to buy it there and cut to size like you do with trim and wood. Also it MIGHT help to put a solid color paper behind it, then put a light between the paper and the glass, to show the swirl effect better.
Thank you Brandi! I might try it with items using a new technique I just saw on Pinterest where someone mod podged napkins to cling wrap (then mod podged over) and cut the items out. They would be a little bit translucent in your 'stained glass window'!
Oh my gosh I feel like such a dork lol I kept waiting to see what kind of colors you would do for stained glass. I'm thinking like church stained glass. Then I realized you were doing more towards frosted glass. Lol It's so so so gorgeous!!! I do wonder what it would look like if you added just a small amount of color to the mod podge. I am obsessed!! You did a wonderful job!
Crystal either this Tuesday or Next I will have another of these coming out with ALLLLLL kinds of idea from the comments on what things would look like doing food coloring, and paint
Oh my goodness, I absolutely love it!! Gonna have to try!! Do you think you could use like 2 pieces of glass that came out of regular frames? I have some that I took out for certain crafts and didn’t need the glass. I save everything. Then you could make a frame to go around them. Just wondering if you thought that would work. Thanks for sharing!! Love your videos!! God bless!! ❤️❤️🙏🙏
Girl believe me when I tell you thats what I am going to do if I can not find the frames. with 2 pieces. I have a bunch of people offering to send me some but i dont want them to break in shipping so I hopefully can find more and we will do a big tutorial trying several different ways. I also need to find a better lighting or spot to get a good picture The video and picture does the piece no justice. I love this so much!
It look lovely cant wait 2 try I break a lot of glass taking out frames I'm told $ store hav the double glass frames havent seen it yet may b n $5. section r $3 section
Thank you. I have seen this done with fake flowers. I think I would like to try the swirling concept on the back like you did and use the gallery glass paint on the front to get a texture look. I would like to see if you do more of this too. Thank you again. Blessings 🤗🌷
Brandi that just made my eyes go 😯.. get outta here! You only did one coat i believe? Yes i would love to see you do it using two pieces of glass and the second coat. I noticed to you didnt apply alot of mod podge on the back of your pics.. i thought it looked so good but i usually see ppl covering all over the backs of stuff.. it only took a smidge and it looked so good. The swirling affect! Oh my gootness.. first time ive ever seen or heard of this technique and its so simple but so elegant when its finished! I always enjoy your sense of humor and calling it as is.. so nice to kick it with someone down to earth. Thanks for sharing this and look forward to the next one. Definitely gonna give this a shot.. your pics were so pretty! I havent been doing diy's very long and i havent done alot of stuff just yet.. girl ive never been inside a hobby lobby or .. is it joanne's.. ive only been inside a michaels bout 3x.. its in another state .. the others too but the drive to either of the three is long and my health keeps me from doing alot BUT.. my goal is to get there sometime soon lol.. people thank im crazy when i tell that BUT i always see gorgeous stuff on your channel and others and for cheap so i can understand why they do haha! Again.. thanks for being chill and fun. You make your videos in a way like its a true conversation and im invested in the moment.. thats a wonderful gift along with your gifts and talents. So much fun! Take care and have blessed week 🙋🏼♀️
Yes, just one coat but i do wanna try more, I want to see if it makes it more noticeable! I am a huge fan of less is more with mod podge. Doing this the last several years I have learned the more mod podge you use doesnt always mean a better hold. it does mean stuff will get wet, and wonky, and bubble, and possibly rip. That's just been my experience!
And, thank you Bridget! I appreciate that so much. I can also tell you Hobby lobby and their sales are way cheaper than micheals almost always. If you get a chancel to hit a hobby lobby.. DO IT! When your having a good enough day do it, and hit a dollar general or family dollar too if you can find them. Idk if you hang out with me on browse with brandi but I have so many in very similar situations as you and some even send relatives to the store with lists because they can not get out. It is one reason I created this channel so you can do what you love on a budget, plan things and get an idea of whats going on in the stores even if you can not get to them often! My mother only gets out once a week. She is on oxygen and she is a lung cancer survivor so believe me I understand you completely it is one of the reason I made that browsing channel. I never want people to feel like they are stuck in and do not know whats going on in stores! Especially if the hobby they love is DIY related!
Thank you, Brandi! I loved your project. I keep buying ephemera (the printed cardstock pieces), thinking that I am going to use them on cards, but they just sit on my dining table, mocking me. This may be a good way for me to finally put them to use!
I had never seen this before. It is so nice. Is the glass that should be on top just to protect whatever you put down, in your case, the paper flowers? Thank you for your time, Brandi.

Absolutely, there are a bunch of ways I seen people creating these! I really wanted to try this version but that plastic piece ruined it...lol
Hi Brandi, I have made stained glass-look pictures by painting the face of the picture with Modpodge, letting it dry completely then soaking it in water and rubbing off the back until the image is transparent then using Modpodge to adhere it to the glass. HAHA!
I actually did this to a glass door!! It was years ago and I added a couple drops of paint. I loved it
Pam that sounds amazing!
I love the effect that mod lodge leaves on glass!
Girl, tell me about it!
That turned out great girl❣😀 it's the first time I've heard of that technique.. 👏👏
Im happy you like it Rita! It is really knew! I had a really hard time finding information on it. SO, i guess i gotta create some..lol
Turned out soooo pretty

This turned out so beautiful! I love it! ❣️🥰❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
That is cool! I'm def going to try it. I bet you could pattern the podge in different ways too. Yes, please do another one!
Love the Brandi!! I've seen a couple of other videos doing this recently and now I'm going to have to give it a shot.
Thanks for the tips 😀

I think this was gorgeous and actually relatively easy. Thank you for your creativity🎉

Have you tried adding food coloring to the mode podge to give a light tent? I think I'm going to try this recipe.
I have not but it seems to be one of the most popular suggestions and people are asking for more ideas with this, so I am writing everything down. I will hopefully get another tutorial out by the end of the month showing a bunch of ways to do this. Let me know how it works!

I was expecting a "faux stained glass" technique 😢... but got a collage instead... I love it anyway... thank you for your tutorial...❤
Add the coloring to the back with food coloring.
I did a follow up to this. I called it fake stained glass because the mod podge group I see it in was calling it that but totally see adding color makes it more so.
I hope that tip helps
yes I think I want to try this
I hope you love it!!
Hey 👋 Brandi I always love the beauty of the flowers 🏵️ 🌹 inside 🌹💠 in a picture frame 🪟 they're gorgeous

Thank you Brandi! I might try it with items using a new technique I just saw on Pinterest where someone mod podged napkins to cling wrap (then mod podged over) and cut the items out. They would be a little bit translucent in your 'stained glass window'!
