Cedar Bowl Finish Struggles

My struggles with a finish on cedar are real. I not had much success with any process, friction polish, oils, etc. that I've been pleased with yet. On this one I wet-sanded with Boiled Linseed Oil and finished with Acks Wood Paste and Polish and had the best result yet. Mike, at Scenic City Woodturning showed this process and I have his link below along with Acks Wood Paste. Let me know your ideas on Cedar finishes!!!

Hi Rick, thanks for the video. The bowl came out really nice. How did the finish applied work out with the Cedar's aroma? I have a red cedar blank that I have not turned because I want to highlight not only the woods' beautiful grain and color, but also preserve the aroma (as much as possible).

It did mask the aroma some. I’ve not been able to find a way to finish cedar without doing so except I purchased Cedar Oil at Lowe’s and used it once.
