Reminds me of Minney's Yacht Surplus in Costa Mesa, California where I'd get parts for my sailboat. The only thing missing here is all of the used sails and the pile of ancient marine toilets out back!
That’s sounds like a sailors dream! We loved this store. Prices are ok. But they had anything you can think of and it was the most organized store we’ve been to! 🛥️🤙🌊
Thanks for this vid! I didn't realize this store existed. It is very close to me. so I decided to visit yesterday and got out of there in under $200. :)
That’s awesome! Glad our video helped! And it seems you made it out of there unscathed spending only $200 🤣 we purposely went just to film and said no to spending! Although I really want that cabin door assembly🙄 thanks for commenting! 🤙
its a good thing your advertising for themm new boaters caint fiund it , i found dons marine in clearwater just by accident on google.. by the way im looking for a used mast 50ft plus tall and furing boom.
While I haven’t been to this store, I would advise everyone at these places to make sure the part you’re pulling out of the bin is what you see on the label and a direct match to what you need. I doubt they have the manpower to reorganized all of that inventory after any given weekend. Boat owners get to their boats, realize they need a simple part to get on the water and run to the store. Kids are fiddling with everything, your partner is reminding you that your friends are due to arrive at the dock in fifteen minutes, the dog is in the car, etc. Under that amount of pressure, some people might not put the parts back where they belong. I’m not criticizing this store. But, you all know the feeling of getting back your the boat with the part that looks just like it, but not quite. I love bin diving at my local chandlery. If any thing, it gives me excuses not to get my project done, which is nice when you don’t like the people that someone else invited. Take them to the beach. I also start looking for parts that someone else is looking for. Another excuse. I live in Vero Beach, not far from Ft. Pierce. You may know the store I’m talking about.
I’ve done a video of that store in Ft pierce. This particular store is 10x more organized than that one but your advice is still sound. Check double check and triple check.
I also forgot to mention in Safety Harbor where at keast was and their name eludes Mr a company thst completely rebuilds sea star steering systems fir a fraction of the price of replacement.
What about complete classic marine engines like Chrysler 440 and OMC 460 cobra inbourds or restored TRS Mercury Drives and old 1970 Chris craft yachts and 40 sea bird boats and Packard V12 marine engines
I told ya man thst place has everything I didn't see you find the center consoles they at least at one time had a ton of then in all sizes and shapes sitting outside. Speaking of trim if you like I need windshield trim I finally found whst I needed from a company called Steele products weird name nun the less you name it in trim they've got it and if they don't have and you have apiece of the old stuff you can send it to them and for a price they will extrude for you not cheap though. Mi e was for a 1979 glastron walk-around cuddy a d after sending ne samples we finally found the right one no more leaking windshield
You were right! We went here because of your comment! They had two small center consoles only. Thanks for the tip. I’ll check that place out. We’re trying to get a new rub rail for the boat but it’s been tough to find. Do they do that too?
Man, that's freaking awsome store guys!!! Im up on the Chesapeake, are we able to search their store on line and buy stuff!? I would think so but gotta ask!?❤
Hey Martin! Yes guy can search their store online. Although they don’t show everything online you can always call and ask! I think they do free shipping too! 🤙
Hi all, I am in the uk and about to start removing many galley parts on my Hatteras 52 CMY 1990 including a full set of air condition Moters reverse cycle as air con here is really needed, also a pilot bench seat, dish washer transfer voltage box and panel for a 110 v 20 lbs onan generator fully working I do however need a block or engine for a 8V 92 TA engine 1990 pm me huh
I've spent more money than I'd care to account for in that store. If it exists, they have it. Are you guys going to get back to boating and/or repair soon? I miss the actual boating content vs this latest "ZOMG BEST EVER" content. I recognize that this content may be getting you views, and it that's the success you're after I absolutely wish you the best.
Hi Elle! Thanks so much for the comment! Yes, we’re trying to post both types of content. This week we’re finishing up a transom and also adding solar to our boat and we also painted our console so we have plenty of that coming soon. We’re trying to find the time to film and edit which is the most time consuming. Ideally we’d love to post 3 videos a week. Some type of boating info or boat show, boat repairs and restorations and fishing/camping videos! Just trying to get situated! 🤙
