I bought my wife a 2.7 Cayman in 2007 almost as basic as possible and the car has been a pure pleasure. 150k miles now and as reliable as any Toyota I've own. I'll never own another car. PORSCHE... There is no substitute.
Love to hear this, bought a 75k mile 08 2.7 that had been well taken care of. Currently at 85k and loving every mile. Such a capable vehicle and perfect for bombing B roads. Hoping it will last another 85k!

Yep. I own a 09 Cayman 2.9. If I had the funds I would get the S or GT4. But it just means I have to rev it out more to get the performance. No issue there.

@@limulus61Only just recently got my first Porsche and the community seems great. They are welcoming to all ages and gender. They all just love to drive and don't particularly care how fast or slow your car is. Renaultsport community is also great too.
probably the best sports car out there. today I think this is the pinnacle of sports cars. When i buy one, I will probably keep it for the rest of my life..this is one of those cars that it just makes sense to do so. Beautiful car and nicely put together video.

Instant collector Porsche that is already appreciating and it is only a year old. As you said, one year only, manual only, limited to about 2500 units and you have to pry them away from their owners on trade for a GT3 or pay the premium to own easily one of the top 3 modern Porsche's ever made.

This man really knows his cars, the GT4 is probably the best car out there pound for pound and his a beautiful old school Porsche Heritage colour, it is lovely!

Great feature! I also drive a 981 GT4. And am a sucker for green colour. I went for a PTS Viper Green since for long I wanted to have a 997 GT3 RS in RS Green. BUT: the Fjord Green, especially on 356 Speedster represents the ultimate beauty for me.

Totally agree, I’ve had two ‘Vettes and three Nissan Z’s all of which felt like they were gonna fly apart at or near redline. My base Boxster just laughs at me when being pushed hard.

You've made a wonderful video, thanks. As an only-Cayman Porsche owner (S, GTS, GT4) I might seem like the choir you are preaching to, but your video goes well beyond the GT4, or the Cayman. It speaks to the greater, and more varied, Porsche culture, and passion I see in all Porsche owners. As I look at this video I see the embodiment of the things that drew me to Porsche, and has kept me there for 6+ years. I doubt there can be anything else for me, and I'm sure the GT4 will not be my last Porsche. As you say, the GT4 embodies many things that Porsche promises, and delivers on. I have 14,000 miles on mine so far, and can't wait for the next one. BTW, is that a stock exhaust, well mic'd, or do you have headers?
Wow, thank you so much! This really motivates me to make more videos (this is a friend who I filmed in the video). Everything is completely stock - there is just an external mic attached near the exhaust.
