No, sorry I'm not familiar with that. Porsche crest seem to use a technique that is called "cloisonne' " Thats pouring a clear enamel into a metal mold, an ancient technique, but not sure how to do that if that's what you want to do.
I'm not too picky about grit, I bought a multi-pak for the disc sander, use what works, 80 grit is super aggressive, 150 is better and 220 is probably going to help keep the aluminum to a paintable consistency. Too fine of grit will load up too quick with crud and cause problems.
