Thank you so much, I am so happy to found your channel and get the permission to move in the postures, that’s the freedom I need to feel good in a traumatized body. Gratitude & Grace is with you. Much love sarita
I haven't been able to sleep the last few days but I just did this and it genuinely was the perfect practice for this long week. Hope it helps w a nice sleep. I just had to say I am so appreciative for all of your videos! Thank you so much for everything that you do!
After this session I was the most flexible over the last 4 months. It's temporary obviously, but nevertheless indication of a great sequence. Thanks a lot! Namaste.
Well, I loved the subtle movements in this practice. I was really able to drop in to my body. Thank you so much for this beautiful start to my day, Namaste ❤️
Wow. I had quite an awareness with that half saddle on my right side where I had been favoring a knee injury. It had become so tight in the front of my thigh that my hips didn’t even stay on the ground. Looks like a good thing to keep as a part of my regular Yin yoga practice. Thank you so much for your UA-cam channel and of course you’re 14 day reset.❤
Loved this class for a quick way to gently mobilize the body especially the legs. But you do hit on the torso and upper body with the positioning of the arms. Many thanks for this one❤
Hi Devi, I never exactly know what to expect when you write 'somatic'... Soma = body, so it must be kind of healing practice? Anyway, it felt great in my body (no pain despite a very swollen knee), and, as you probably guessed, I tried to incorporate my beloved bolster as much as I could (supporting my lower ribs in saddle, under my knees in savasana). It adds so much comfort, that's amazing🤩I wish you a Merry Xmas🎄🎄
Hi Karine, Thanks for sharing your need for clarification. Somatic is an interesting word - technically it just means body-related, but in practice it's often used in movement therapy practices for techniques that encourage thoughts, feelings and emotions to be expressed through the body. In my Somatic Yin Yoga practices, I guide intuitive movement within postures, which is a good way to get yogis to follow their instincts rather than try to achieve an ideal aesthetic. The time spent on one's yoga mat can be amazingly therapeutic and healing if we trust in the instinctive processes of the brain and body. In the end, whatever kind of yoga I'm teaching, my intentions are threefold: 1) to help yogis practice in a way that supports energy flow for healing; 2) to keep yoga free of dogma and shaming; and 3) to honor the great deal of human variation to be navigated in the process. Hope that is helpful! Merry Xmas to you! 🎄
@@DeviDalyYoga thank you Devi for this clear explanation ! I agree, time on the mat is therapeutic bc we feel sooooo great after ; and yes, you always encourage us to find what feels good in our body, no matter how the poses look (the most important is how they feel in the body) !
This was exactly what I needed on a Sunday morning. Thank you!
Thank you dear Devi ❤❤❤
