My mum's little story of immigrating to Sweden

- After 3 months of not seeing my mum it was time to drive back to the Netherlands to pick her and some boxes up for a long drive back to Sweden.
On this channel I will share my photography stories, as well traveling with a Land Rover and how our way of moving to Sweden evolves!

Life comes full circle sometimes. It’s been five years since my mom moved into my house. How could I not? She cared for us all until we fledged so to speak and now she needs to return to the nest to be cared for.
Yes indeed! I think it works both ways, and I am happy she wants to join us here. She’s really close so we can help when ever she needs it 🙏🏼😊

Guy super leuk om te zien hoe blij jij bent en hoe trots jij op je moeder bent. Ook heel zorgzaam voor de kat.

That was a long drive - and strict border controls 😁. Lovely to see you all together in Sollefteå now. What a life changing time for your Mum, exciting times ahead indeed. I'm almost the same age, so tell her I think she's really brave👍 Is that a rental apartment? It looked very nice and bright! The upcoming bucket arrangement will be the new topic of conversation in Sollefteå🪣😂😂/ Katarina

Welcome back to Sweden and welcome to your mom as well! It's getting cold-ish here in Sollefteå area, but there are still a lot of nice days and the autumn is almost here with full power so I hope she likes our area and the nature around!🔥🌲🦌

So i suppose the bucket Will include lots of kanelbullar and Swedish meatballs once your mom is settled 😊. Really cool mom to make that step and Im sure the cat Will cheer up once it Will experience all the snow later in winter😊.

Wat een verrassing en hoe stoer van jouw moeder ! Maar wat een trip zeg…. iets anders, wat moeten jullie toch met al die bananen? Succes met uitpakken en veel geluk 🍀 Ik zag dat je langs Jönkoping reed….wij gaan naar de regio Svenlunga over drie weken dat ligt daar 1,5 uur vandaan. Onze bananendozen staan alweer te wachten.😊

PS. Dutch and Swedish are very similar if we speak langzaam (långsamt)

Hope you and your mother will be happy here in sweden.... I can understand it will be a little hard in beginning , but sweden is pretty good actually....

Don't know we're you going to live in Sweden but I live in Middle of Dalarna....a very calm part of sweden , far from big Capitols...

I like when good people want to come as Immigrants to Sweden. I get happy and proud when someone wants to come and live here. I will follow your Mums story. I just wish all people coming here had good intentions, but sadly they don't and it saddens me trumendes.

Swedes in her age speak english as good as her, and Dutch/English/Swedish is cousine language.. she gonna learn to understand swedish quite fast.. it take a bit longer to speak swedish!
However.. there is "retirment organisations" in sweden, that hold meatings and often do things togheter!
And some of them altso arange bus travels.. and Nr 1 is GEKÅS.. shop till you drop.. kinda Wallmart of sweden!
In anyway the number 1 for me.. when I get even older/befor I dies.. is the famouse.. "Tulips in Holland" spring trip.. its kinda if one dont have been to "Tulips in Holland".. one dont have lived a decent life!
