There are also places like direct on the mountain that is not allowed due to its likely the fire will damage/crack the ground. Allemansrätten is based on that pople behave correct and do no damage. Its not only rights but also responsibility.

And, of course, like the first guy said, you can't camp too close to someone's house. You *can* use fallen branches and dead pieces of wood as firewood, but you can't touch the living trees or bushes. Picking berries and mushrooms is also fine, as long as they're not classified as a protected species. It's all about respect, really.

In fact, in those protected areas, Allemansrätten can be diminished with several regulations, regarding camping, making fire and in a very few places ban to enter. These rules differ from nature reserve to nature reserve, so you have to unfortunately check the regulations for every one you visit. But, it is just in a few where camping and making fire is regulated, mostly the ones with most visitors.
The good thing is that there's usually sign posts at each entrance to nature reserves that spell out the specific restrictions and rules for that reserve. Granted it's usually Swedish only unless in a more "touristy" area, but thankfully there's translation apps :D

and don't camp too close to house plots, 100-150 meters so you don't disturb them, ideally you shouldn't be seen near houses. cultivated land and meadows, preferably not disturbing livestock. approximately the same distance when picking berries and mushrooms. do not damage living shrubs and trees. and most importantly take the garbage with you. otherwise, you are welcome to camp and explore the Swedish nature
@@lifeof_guy there is more to read about Freedom to roam. we have a big problem with RVs, vans. the Off-Road Driving Act= terängkörningslagen. some believe that freedom to roam also applies to them. just because it looks like you can drive there doesn't mean you should. you must not leave the road when you park for the night, and you must not overtake other traffic. like sneak past a barrier to park as close to the water as possible for the view. bring a chair the view remains, and others may want to check out the same view. the risk is that the small roads will be closed off by the landowners. it ruins for those who take care of themselves. we must be careful about our Freedom to roam, Allemansrätten

Allemansrätten also leads into some laws that for example you are not allowed to fence off access to water, meaning even if you own the land you cant prevent people from bathing. only exceptions are industry for safety reasons.
@@emptyforrest In Germany it is exactly the other way around. Access to the lake is specially blocked and, for safety reasons, a prohibition sign is also put up so that no one goes swimming in it.
there is pretty much only one rule when it comes to allemansrätten. dont be an idiot. might come natural to be because i am swedish but its mostly about common sense. respect the nature and the land owners and there wont be much issue.
Please educate yourself well on the swedish right to roam before making a video about it. Anything you get wrong in the video is spread and taken for "correct" by others so the information you provide needs to be accurate or you will only contribute to a growing problem. It is a great freedom we have with access to our nature but it comes with the responsibility of caring for the land you cross aswell and teaching others the correct way.
