Your best line here is “I’ll never sell it”. Do NOT!!!!! I’m old enough to be your grandfather and in ’79 bought my first car which was a ‘71 240Z (non Fairlady) and I rebuilt it from the ground up. All the parts were in coffee cans in my dads garage and he just hounded me daily to finish fixing it at age 15! But I got it done! Lotta ppl thought it was an old Jag! ... Put triple Webbers on it and toyed with the flares; paint and rear shocks but this was pre-GTA or whatever… No video games - Def No sponsorships though I did race SCCA in it and loved it. Came with factory solid magnesium wheels and bought it for $1,250. Today? Can’t touch one of that quality or like yours with the Turbo 280ZX for less than $60K if done up right. Seen full customs as I’m certain you have too for over $200K. The irony living in TX is it ran hot all the time and warped the heads nonstop. So dumped it for $3K on a C15 Square body Chevy/GMC pickup 4x4 which I lifted and painted. Saw one roll across the Mecum auction 3 weeks ago and sell for $82K! Bone stock! Gawd! 2 great classics cars/trucks I bought that if I’d held onto them would both be worth almost $100K each now. Just bought a 260Z chassis and am sectioning it 8” wider putting it on a full speedshop custom chassis and here’s the big task … putting a Ferrari mid engine V12 and trans in it! With a 3D scanned AMG black label body kit clone.. along with a real 2020 Bugatti interior I got from a salvage yard that’ll have to cut to fit for $850. That talking to Italian ECU/ECM?!? Gonna be real interesting with Dakota gauges as we wanna keep the trademark “3 humps” on top of the dash but all digital below wrapped in leather. Roll cage etc. Will be a show/maybe racer. But can’t wait to start showing the progress of that resto mod build on IG. Peace. (PS Awesome Fairlady!) (I went RHS this time! After living in New Zealand and England for 16 yrs; I prefer driving on the left and racing on the left. Am killing my left rear tyres though every time I return to Colorado USA😂 lol. Cheers.
This is beautiful. Reminds me of my journey of building my 240sx. Really would love to do a full resto on a 240z. Its always been a dream build of mine!
I'm so glad I found this Channel!! They got some awesome quality videos !! And beautiful story's.. And the cars are insane!! .. When this channel gets big in UA-cam I am going to be proud to say I was one of the first people to subscribe and spored!
Love those Work Equip 03 wheels and the over size fender flares, but I don't agree with the Voltex GT wing. But since it his car and he just put his own taste to it, nice and keep up the good work buddy.
car is sick, I would never seek out sponsorships though it's been my dream to build a show car and drop a few jaws in the process. knowing that everything on my car in and out is from my money my hard work, my rims are financed, I'm on cut springs but they're done right, all my interior and exterior are DIY and at the moment it looks damn good and already getting compliments even with clear coat peeling and 50 cracks on my windshield. And.... it's my daily, I'm proud of my accomplishments so far with my ride and hopefully it'll be featured in videos!!!
you guys like to watch project cars people build for themselves to then comment telling them, "take off that wing" "crappy wheels" "Etc etc etc"... lmfao
TRUTH4U2NO Eveyone has there own style same with stance and track car its his not your. What would you say to the other people to build their Zs. What would you say to all the bodykit places and owners in japan. Would u tell liberty walk rocket bunny RBW bee*r mines and any other performance/bodykit companies that there douches for cutting and building a car they love? I hope not, everyone has they own way don't push and say this car is bad because he builds it his way and why would you care you dont own his car.
You won't here me bitching about it I like it I think you did a great job on it. know you went thru a lot of shit to just get it like that the way YOU like it not saying I'd done it the same way but it's not about me .I think you did a great job on it I've owned four in the past and sure as hell wish I had the first one back 1972 production date 5/72 great job brings back very good memories
So he bought a mint classic car, chassis engine and carburettor with matching numbers and the first thing he does is changing the engine and cutting it up to wide body for a rim size without available tires making the car illegal. This should be featured in a series called "car homicide".
great video guys - first I've ran into your channel, definitely subscribing. I am a little bummed that there wasn't any footage of the car actually being driven hard a bit though - only missing element I'd say. beautifully edited though and I enjoyed hearing the story behind the car.
Dont give up on a beaten car, that beaten is gonna help you masterd it, learn from it youll grow big and that beaten car will turn out to be your dream car
Such a underated car because all people rave about are MK4s r34 and things like FDS s13 s14 s15s 370z FC are still known but things like a 240z are so unknown
It looks epic. Really like a proper race car. Though I personally wouldn't have the big spoiler on the back for street driving. I hope you can fix the smokey issue too.
I'm not a hater by no means necessary but every time I see videos like this I wonder were do these guys get the money to build cars like this. I mean I'm an aircraft mechanic and I make pretty good money but I have rent, insurance, student loans etc. Where do people have the extra cash to dump into project cars? Just curious.
It's all about managing your money set down and really look where your money goes you'll be surprised. I did this one time and was able to put away $300 every two weeks by making lunch for work and bringing coffee from home.
+94chicity Its simple. Project cars take time. You dont just withdraw 30k from your bank and start a project car. Although some people can do this most people invest a bit of money into it here and there. My 240z took 8 years to get where it is. The total investment is 22k. Thats 2750 a year, roughly $114 a paycheque. $8 a day. Like CARS ONBOARD said, make a lunch and coffee or dont go out on fridays spend $200 to get smashed and youre there. You shoudl be asking how do people have 60k to drop on a brand new lexus or bmw instead.
They take time. Also if you dont have the money and youre in an aircraft trade you need to look into how your managing your money... Shit people do this shit on apprentice wages, even i probably could do a nice project if i managed my money better (not a 240z though) they cost more than a lot of brand new sports cars since theyre vintage. But there are plenty of nice 90s cars i could pick up cheap from a wreckers and build something good out of
Idk why people are hating on HIS car...he created the way HE wanted, not how you want it.

Total SoCal video. Beautiful work on where all car cultures collide. Great work 💙
When I get older, I want to be a cool old man LIKE THIS CAR.
Love those Work Equip 03 wheels and the over size fender flares, but I don't agree with the Voltex GT wing. But since it his car and he just put his own taste to it, nice and keep up the good work buddy.
See we need more people like you in the car world you respect his taste dope.

car is sick, I would never seek out sponsorships though it's been my dream to build a show car and drop a few jaws in the process. knowing that everything on my car in and out is from my money my hard work, my rims are financed, I'm on cut springs but they're done right, all my interior and exterior are DIY and at the moment it looks damn good and already getting compliments even with clear coat peeling and 50 cracks on my windshield. TRUTH4U2NO you cannot voice all z owners opinion if it was me i would of widebody and drop a 26b if i had a 240zx or 280zx
god damn bruh, you got me falling for your 240, am very inspired man, keep it up!
The build is a bit too overstated for my taste, but I applaud your passion and determination to the car.
car looks good.I had a 75 280z and I'm in the hunt for another one again
I own a GTR R35 and an EVO X. I would love to add a 240Z to my collection. Beautiful car !

You won't here me bitching about it I like it I think you did a great job on it. know you went thru a lot of shit to just get it like that the way YOU like it not saying I'd done it the same way but it's not about me .I think you did a great job on it I've owned four in the past and sure as hell wish I had the first one back 1972 production date 5/72 great job brings back very good memories

thanx for the video.. this video I think it really inspired those who had dream of like car... I'm one who also love car
I love it., keep it up
240z has such a strong personality
Wangan Midnight for the win it did have that special effect
The body mods look pretty rough. The stock look of the car is so much better than all the stuff he threw together IMO.
that looks beautiful
This dude seems like a super cool guy. Love his Z! It's a bit too extreme for me, but hey! its not my car!
The HUGE rear wing a diffuser ruin it -- way overboard. It'd be so clean without them.
Soren Lausen downforce baby
Soren Lausen dewnfurc bro
Guy has one of the only twin turbo l28s in a LHD Z, wouldve loved to seen more of that engine and of it driving.
Such a underated car because all people rave about are MK4s r34 and things like FDS s13 s14 s15s 370z FC are still known but things like a 240z are so unknown

Great build by far, too bad that ZG fender flares missing the Gnose front clip.
