Thank you for reviewing a base model. It seems nobody ever reviews the base car. Much appreciated. I had to look all over the place to find anything about the S trim. I second the Fusion S review request.
My buddy has the fully loaded Escape Titanium with leather, pano roof, Sync, etc. I much prefer this base model. It's simpler, less stressful. Less is more, I guess.
The 2.5 is fine if you just want to step on it and go. it's tested and reliable. If you want more pickup you need to go with the 1.6 or 2.0. But again nothing wrong with the old 2.5 it's not like you won't be able to go where you need to go. Nobody has ever said oh no I can't go where I need to go because I got the base engine.
Up to about 40 it isn't the quickest, but once it is moving and you hit it, it goes just fine. It's surprised me a few times. No problems passing on the interstate.
@crammage Lol. Actually you can still drive by, it didnt have a sign that said "stop for pedestrians". It just showed to slow or watch for them if they cross right infront of you.
I really hate how ford doesn't offer a manual transmission. You'd think this car being in reality a station wagon, it'd have a manual transmission to complete the car feel. But other than that, ford did a really nice job with this vehicle! I just wish they gave it a new name and kept it alongside the old escape.
And the Interior has that old 2008-12 screen instead of the new display that some trims like the SE, SEL without MFT but the S doesn't have the MFT-alike display
wow i totality forgot that. its just that im driving down town every day and some rude people just walk across right when my light turns green to piss me off. so i end up giving no damn about people crossing. for me, if theres no sign or its not a cross area, im still driving.

best review i have seen of the 2013 Escape. Thanks Redline !
That Jerry's automotive sponsorship ad in the beginning reminds me of a fast food chain, not a car company

We will add it to our list
This is a great video; not many videos review the base model.
Man this thing is sweet even in base form!!
We love our 1.6 SE rides like our focus
they should use the 1.6 eco boost as a up level engine for the ford focus titanium
It is interesting that you can get Sync on the S though for like 300 or 800 dollars, it is worth it completely too!
Good Review Of 2013 Ford Escape S. 😀

lol sorry, we didn't mean to get you all excited like that, don't worry you guys will love the new videos that should be up tomorrow :)

that would be the camera mount for when he does the driving portion of the video
Great video -- thanks for posting!
What is that thing mounted behind the passenger seat at 05:11?
does this model have bluetooth?
What happened to the other video?
you're right, this is it!
Can you do a Toyota Sienna SE?
I bet this exact model will be in all enterprises lots pretty soon :/
2:27
Thanks
Can you do a Fusion S?

Can you do a Expedtion EL
isnt this the ford kuga in europe?
You have to stop for pedestrians in a crosswalk. You don't need a sign it's in the driver's handbook.
i just want to say, although you guys get a lot of bull shit from time to time, i always love watching good. long car reviews :)
replay???
Ford should have still offered a 3.0 V6 or a strong 3.5 ECOBOOST
Can you do a Chrysler 300?
@MrMK94 oh no, they got you too?? Lol
That camera rattle was a poo
Like I said not really a fan of the styling of these. I like the interior though
It's a suv not a crossover
It's a crossover. Crossovers are built on a car platform, SUV's are built on a truck platform.
Idk but that dual exhausst looks kinda awkward
crv shits on it mechanically, but looks id give it to the focus
That was good for 2013 but bad for 2018 because it's doesn't have a back up camera that's a law for cars in 2018
U said bum
Oh that's typical.
Who cares about the damn pedestrian. You watched this vid for the car not the guys driving habits. Geez
The old model is better tho.
7:24 learn to drive -.-
first.
